That scene was one of my top faves from S2. So many feels. Great song btw! Although I gotta say the ending maybe felt a little too abrupt, the outro could have been expanded upon a bit.
+DMC4EVERUCCI Ah, yes! Right, I always forget to check UA-cam messages. My Skype will come up if you search elysepikachu, and that's generally going to be a more reliable way to contact me - though when I'm in school messages from all sources tend to go unchecked for the most part.
Yaaay you're back with a new song!! ^.^ I'm so happy! Wonderful work once again, and I gotta love that theme, and those thoughts in the description! That scene when Rarity and Spike were falling and she shushed him, and cried, that's one of my most favorite MLP scenes ever. I also wondered what that could mean ^.^ They really need to explore that arc more in the show!! "Rarity shushed Spike because she didn’t want to break his heart just yet, perhaps in the hope that he’d grow out of the crush on his own" Interesting. Yeah that may be, but I'd still think that she cried because of how touched she is by Spike's feelings, and not because she would be heartbreaking him :D
+Makenshi179 I definitely agree with her being touched by his feelings - I didn't really touch on that, but I definitely agree with that. I agree the arc should be explored a little more, especially now that Spike and Rarity have both experienced personal development in so many ways! Thanks for listening! :D
How on earth does she do this? Most musicians, even ones that I really like make at least one piece that is kind of meh or just okay, she has yet to release a song that I didn't immediately fall in love with! What sort of witchcraft is this?
Wow. Well. I wasn't expecting this song to bring back memories. I really, Really, like the music that goes with the lyrics, it reminds me of an artist I used to listen to but I can't seem to place it. Amazing job though, very thought provoking and inspiring (To do like, art, or something based on it...not to get a crush on a beautiful older girl and indirectly get accidentally led on to believe that it just needs time to flourish.)
+Darkoes1 That phrase there, "to get a crush on a beautiful older girl and indirectly get accidentally led on to believe that it just needs time to flourish" really encapsulates how I feel about Sparity. Thanks for the comment and listening!
+MathematicPony Why is this even more heartbreaking the second time I've listened to it? My heart hurts when it says "Why won't you say something?" it sounds so desperate... Huh I might actually cry man.
Just curious and I would be extremely grateful if you reply to this but I understand if your busy. I was wondering if there was any chance you would ever consider putting instrumentals out to your songs? I can imagine it would be cool to see other people's covers and renditions of your songs. ;) Btw I love your music. Hope you make a few more Spike focused songs as well in the future! He's becoming an ever better character by every episode! Love him to pieces.
This is amazing. I haven't hit subscribe that fast in weeks. XS are you still alive and do you still do MLP related work, or is it just other stuff? Because you seem to put the most of 'you' into it.
I'm still alive and still in love with MLP! Just a busy computer science major taking 20 units right now, so deathly busy. Thank you for the subscribe and comment!
That is good to hear. I know that may sound weird, but if you're that busy, even if it's stressful as kingdom come, I say you're doing big things with your life. You've got yourself a new fan, and I can't wait for the time when you have some time for your music again, but until then, take care. :)
I consider Wait (Everything Has Changed) to actually be part of this timeline in some fashions, so I see the progression of events to be something along the lines of this: Wait (Everything Has Changed) -> The Door -> Right Through Me Wait, in the second verse, says something along the lines of "so we're back on the floor, eyeing each other and wondering if there's more," which, to me, denotes that an event has happened, but there's not a specific response yet, and that that person will have to wait for a response, but how things have changed - even if they don't know for sure precisely how things have changed. The Door is kind of the internal ramblings and wonderings of that person, given the events of Wait, wondering if they're about to find what they've been looking for, and wondering precisely how things are going to change, but feeling hopeful about it, even if they're not super sure yet. Right Through Me finally explicitly defines what that initial event was ("maybe I tried to breach the subject - but you'd hear nothing of it"), and gives words to a growing frustration about the lack of progression of the situation, especially after feeling so hopeful (in The Door). The person is finally starting to express their internal frustration and hurt with the situation. Wait says "I guess I'll have to wait," indicating acceptance that there is unsureness. The Door basically is wondering about what's going to happen, and Right Through Me expresses the frustration of still not knowing. That's if they're all part of the same timeline, of course - I consider Right Through Me to be the most plausible song canonically, though I think they can all describe the same timeline. Great question! Thanks for asking! :D
MathematicPony Hmm. Interesting. I've been thinking way too much on this and I'm way too intrigued by all these unknowns. Putting these songs into the same timeline paints such a sad, but honestly realistic, picture. I really love how much thought you've put into your songs. They've got so many levels of emotions poured into them from the perspective of these characters that you're portraying. You're such an amazing artist.
Thank you so much! I definitely agree that it is rather sad, but still pretty realistic. I think the reason I liked MLP so much in the first place is because, despite the fact that it's a kids' show at its core, it's really easy to find pieces of the characters to relate with. I know Spike is often seen as a love-struck idiot kid, but I personally resonate with what he might be feeling, because I've been in situations like that. Sometimes you fall for a beautiful older girl, and then you become friends, but she ends up leading you on. She doesn't allow you closure because she knows breaking your heart might hurt the friendship, so she ends up postponing the inevitable, just to keep you around as a friend a little longer. It just kind of sucks, because Rarity is really not careful with Spike's heart. She doesn't hesitate to flirt with him and lead him on, and I get that she's fond of him because they're friends, but it sucks that she knows about his feelings but she's not sensitive to them. That's what the line calling her reckless means - she's too reckless with his heart. She doesn't want to give him closure yet, in kind of a selfish way, but she doesn't have enough forethought about him to be more careful and not lead him on, and that's reckless. But yes, thank you so much! I'm always really glad when people appreciate the things I'm working on. Just for reference, I'll be working on some more stuff pretty soon, because I'm finally done with my semester! So look for that pretty soon. :-)
Love that Rarity headcanon. Amazing job again.
you just became my new favorite artist from the brony fandom
Always awesome seeing something pop up on this channel. Great job once again! ^-^
Wow didn't expect to see my boi Blank Slate on this video lol
New song from MatematicPony! yay! Always good to hear new stuff from you, and this is definitely no exception.

Another song by MathematicPony? Now, that´s a good way to start the day!

A nice song to listen to at midnight. A wonderful thing to listen to right before sleep.
The chorus is so smooth! Great song
Some heavy subject matter for this one. Good job.
I love how this song is made
Awesome :D

Good job . I love this song :D
Nice! Also, you're lucky you have spring break. It passed for me. ^^
It has been a while since you have uploading something. :D

Damn, wow. Really good. 9/11 Could do with more music to go with the vocals but still great.
Me liek. Is 2 A.M. I sleep now.
Wow. Just wow. I ask anyone but never get a reply. I really want to collab with someone like you
Yes, I have been impaled.
So would you say this is Post or Pre "The Door"? Or is it in alternate song universe?
I consider Wait (Everything Has Changed) to actually be part of this timeline in some fashions, so I see the progression of events to be something along the lines of this:
Wait (Everything Has Changed) -> The Door -> Right Through Me

Awesome, can't wait.
So who's singing this, spike or rarity?
Spike, as it says at the top of the description! Thanks for listening.
+MathematicPony lol I read the whole description and still somehow missed that lol. But it was a great song and I enjoyed it so much!
Thank you so much!
Dang...
Your voice reminds me of AwkwardMarina. Her voice reminds me of you.
Am I the only who thinks of this?
