@@thedamntrain Eh not necessarily, not if you can't speak Irish anyway. I learned Irish in school and everytime we had a listening test there was one particular guy on the tape who had this ridiculously strong Northern Irish accent, I honestly think they just added him in there as some kind of curveball so we didn't get too cocky, we all dreaded getting him on the exam. I probably wouldn't even understand him if he was speaking English, that's how thick his accent was.

They’d all have spoken the way he did. That was an accent specifically found in that area. All the young lads and lasses would have spoken like that, maybe not so fast. Take it like this it was very cold outside, he was walking to school and all of a sudden finds himself in front of a reporter and a camera crew. There he is freezing his bollocks off and trying to answer the reporter. When he says “you wouldn’t be long getting frostbit”, what he’s really saying to the reporter is “I’m bloody cold would you ever just let me be on me way to school”. But he’s a polite young man and shows them how his ankles are exposed and tells them once again how cold he is before waving at them and walking off closing the interview himself because he wanted to get to school where he’d be warm. That’s what I perceive when watching this interview. To be fair I’m sure quite a few kids told the reporter to “feck off”.
