Excellent video. My little boy has been training in Samui so this helps for when we go to Koh Phangan. I have joined you 😀

As someone who has been to DMT more than once, it is with sadness I say that it is a shell of its former self.
Couple years ago it was a gold mine, sometimes 1 trainer per student which translates into an insane learning curve.
Sadly they've had a couple of road bumps in terms of owner disputes, resulting in serious trainers leaving to other more well known and bigger gyms such as Bangtao etc...
Lately I've seen Pok and his son on Bangtao's instagram stories, which probably means they have left aswell.... Which only leaves like ( to my knowledge ) Nob and Ip. Whom I respect and like very much. As far as Santos and Mon I did not even encounter them on my last stay during training.
All and all, staying at DMT was probably the best time of my life back in the days. Fastforward today, it wouldn't be close to the same experience/training-wise.
The location is awesome, the island is awesome, the few coaches still around are awesome.
But the overall experience has dropped due to what seems to be owner disputes.
It's super sad to see, as it was for sure the best time I had in my life at DMT, but I guess that's part of life. Good things don't last forever :)

I feel you brother, been there in 2016 and 2017 some of the best days of my life as well. It's pity that things have changed, but you said It well, good things don't last forever

Hey there mate, seems your most def upto date.. is there any train and stay gyms for absolute beginners you'd recommend? Decent budget, with a chill vibe too? 🙏 ✌️

i'd reckon if you want to stick to the island vibe you should go for any gym on koh samui. OR MAA Koh Phangan - very modern, excelent instructors, fights every week !!
