Esterbrook Estie Raven with Button Piston Filler

- Hi friends, in this video I'll show you the new Esterbrook matte black Estie Raven with button piston filler. I ordered this fountain pen directly from Esterbrook and also received a black water bottle and Raven themed blotter papers as part of the collection (this video is not sponsored.)
This was my first time using the button filler on this pen and I have to admit that it was easier than I expected (I actually ended up pushing the button a few more times before I realized it had already filled with ink.) In my writing sample, you'll see how the broad nib writes with Diamine "Writer's Blood". Note, this is a very wet ink (in my experience with other nibs too) but it makes a great pairing to this pen.

I'm about to order the Funky Lake button filler as well! Thank you both for your info. Question for both: is the entire nib section removable? Wondering if it's easy to flush the barrel when cleaning. I know Estie's typically do in the cartridge format, but some piston fillers make accessing the ink chamber near impossible without removing the entire piston assembly. Thanks in advance. And thank you for a fantastic, straight to the point video demonstration!
@@mattswanson79 I just checked and I can unscrew the nib section. Haven't tried cleaning yet.

I ordered one with a stub nib… waiting for it… not so patiently… good ink choice!

Thanks Kim! This is my first B nib from Esterbrook and I have to say I absolutely love it! I used to be an EF/F nib person but lately have been extending to M/B for journaling and now love that I can see the ink properties. A great writing experience 💕
