CIMB World Travel Elite used to be the best for getting chunks of rewards points by just reloading into e-wallet, sadly they already restricted on e-wallet reload as spending. I would like to suggest OCBC Titanium with unlimited cashback 0.7% for online / e-wallet spenders. Meanwhile is annual fee free for life.
Same cc that i use! I also have backups like public bank quantum visa / visa signature and maybank fcb for other purchases (0% installment). The downside is that public bank imposes min spend of rm100.. and maybank fcb is only 1% cashback
Yes we mentioned the Public Bank Quantum Visa in our 2020 credit card video! It has its downsides but if you can meet their requirements its a great card.
I think they revised the ToS . grab card stopped giving 5 grab points per rm 1 spent after the first year. since mid last year I only get 1.5 grab points per rm1 spent now, which the default reward from grab platinum anyways. this card is pointless to own now I reckon.
I was considering to apply for the Grab one, but they revised the term. So they dont give points for grab ewallet reloads anymore? Plus, im already a Platinum-tier Grab user and im enjoying 1.5x points for every ringgit I spent using Grab. The benefit they offer is 1x points per RM1. So if I link the credit card with my Grab account, will my points per RM1 become 2.5x or 1x or 1.5x ? 😢
Maybank Grab revised the term. 1 Grab point for every ringgit. Not attractive. Affin Visa Cashback revised too. Regarless of the percentage/category, still need to spend RM3,000 minimum to get RM30 to RM50 cashback. UOB Visa Platinum… RM60 cashback for RM1,200 usage monthly is nice. But annual fee + service tax = RM193 / year. Is it worth it? Anyone using this card and manage to get annual fee waiver?
Yep Maybank grab ain’t so great anymore 🥲 uob I’m pretty sure you can get waiver if you spend consistently, was going to apply for it but decided on another card instead

@@amiirulaliif6895 I believe they still give points for topping up with this card. So the way to do it would be top up Grab wallet with card, spend on Grab with Grab wallet. If you spend directly on Grab with the card I don't think you'll get the points on Grab side since they only give it for tx with GrabPay
Not sure about UOB Visa Platinum... but very sure about UOB One Classic Visa. No annual fee waiver anymore. So it would be RM120 annual fee plus RM25 government service tax. This is quite crazy since the other family member of mine don't really spend that much on daily basis to get all the RM145 be 'waived' using the UOB One Classic Visa's cashback LOL but the family member still wanna continue to use it since going fully retirement and bank don't wanna offer new credit card to people more than 60 years old unless your are quite wealthy entreprenaur LOL
Hey there... I have a question. I wanna get my first credit card. My income is above the requirement, but I am worried because I don't have much of a credit history. I mean, I am just starting out. Do I still stand a chance?
It depends on the bank. Most of the times getting your first card from the bank you use for your savings account and receive your salary will be easier!
Bingai agaknya dia. Semua credit card best. Yg tak bestnya kene bayar balik tu masa hujung Tahun 🤣 Orang Kaya lain la nak cantikkan statement kononnyaaaaaaaaaa
Hey I wanted to ask, I currently use the UOB One Card for its cash back. I'm looking at another for points, currently between the Maybank 2 Gold Card (AMEX & Visa/Mastercard) or the HSBC Visa Platinum Card. I don't spend alot so, is there are minimum spends that are very high, it won't be sufficient. Wanted to get your input on which to get and why?
Hmm, we’re not huge fans of points cards so we’re not so sure but the hsbc card looks decent. Maybank 2 cards still a good choice, at least you can get cashback on weekends
We never considered that important to us so didn’t use it as a determining factor. Know a few cards that offer it though and min income req is not that high

The Grab card does not seem so appealing considering that it got nerfed as of late.
What was the nerf?
@@MillennialFinanceMalaysia they reduced the grabrewards point to 1x for all spending from 1st April onwards
@@MillennialFinanceMalaysia instead of 5 points per RM, its now 1 points per RM 😢
Exactly 😢😢😢
Thanks for the brief explanation! What's your take on best CC for travelling?
It's actually not a credit card, but an all-in-one international bank + pre-paid card. We're making a video on it soon.
How about the Citibank Cashback Mastercard? 10% on cashback on selected categories and minimum spend RM500 per month, which is an acceptable expense.
Fyi, UOB has bought citibank Malaysia. If you see the UOB cards in this video, it is the almost the same as the citibank cashback cards
@@harrazya Thanks for explaining :)
@harrazyahassan793 macam mana jumpa kau sini haha. So kau dah jumpa belum card paling best? Preferably cashback
Can i have a credit card as a visitor in malaysia ?
As a visitor I don’t think so
@@MillennialFinanceMalaysia ok thank u
U can apply for a prepaid card/e-wallet. Almost the same function as a cc..
how abt rhb credit card?
Not in this video, but we currently use the rhb shell credit card and it’s pretty good!

Will see if there’s any good ones!
hi, for credit card that have 0% interest, can it build credit score? it is not as much as with interest?
Yep it’ll still build it! Doesn’t matter whether there’s interest or not. So don’t pay interest if you can
ok i will do it later, thanks for the advise 😊
Grab cc not worth after thet revised the point scheme using mistery box
Yep it’s not 🥲 will update for 2024 soon

Just didn’t like that it’s mainly on weekends, already have the Amex which is also weekend only 😅 looks decent though
It's good, combine that with UOB ONE for weekdays
what about airport lounge?
We never considered that important to us so didn’t use it as a determining factor.

outdated info on grab lol
Yeah just realised they changed it!
Why all cc you mentioned is cashback 😅
