In my country, the city speed limit is 50 km/h. If you exceed this limit by another 50 km/h, you got your license hold on. My colegue told me a quite exciting story. KM/h or mph, stock or full on race car, many of us don't know the feeling of acceleration of vehicles like these. My first experience with brutal acceleration was as a child, in the back seat of a full steel, street bodied 1969 Charger 440-6 that could pull the nose and do sub-12 second quarter mile runs. You know "brutal acceleration" when you feel it. Some of those vids, you could feel it.

Half of these idiot street racers don't have a clue how to shift. If redline is 7k RPM and they are banging the hell out of the rev limiter at 8.5k RPM, they are past the power band anyway and just murdering their motor.

I agree, when you are travelling over 100mph you can hardly see the road, never mind the speedo / taco, that might explain the ironic clutch slip, the gauges can't keep up with wheels spinning in fresh air.
the vette is a prime example, apparently hit 300kph, but no wind noise when they lift off / change gear.

I'm still skeptical it's from the same clip. I've done 200+ kph and the wind noise even when under hard acceleration was very noticeable ( and you can hear it clearly on a video too ). So 300kph would be so much easier to hear.

That's with any car. Think of this, when you have a fan that's on low do you hear it? Maybe just a bit aka Car being idle (low speed). But the faster it gets the louder it is (picking up speed). The same concept is with an engine. The faster the motor rotates the louder it gets.

ThatOilfieldGuy simple conversion to give you an estimate 100kmh is roughly 60mph
100 is 62mph 200 is 124, 300 id 186. And 400 is 248..

To keep boost as high as possible the next gear. That way boost does not drop much between shifts.
full boost isnt always produced before redline they bounce off so they maintain max boost
it's because they aren't getting traction and the wheels are spinning. If you shift as soon as you hit redline when getting wheels spin you will most likely not be at an ideal speed for the next gear. The morons above me talking about building boost have no clue what they are talking about.
