This has been ignored for more than a decade, and there are problem policies in corporations all across the country. The lawsuits are going to last for decades.
Looks to me that Obama somehow was at fault!
Been a problem for more like 3 decades.
It's so sad. It's 2024 and compared to even the 1980s our society, culture, and country has devolved back into discrimination based upon sex and gender.
And the people who did it are calling us the ists and phobes.
@@jtjames79 Projection is propaganda 101.
@@mytech6779 Rules for radicals.
@@jtjames79 It's a little more extreme than that book, I think.
"Every tech news outlet is ignoring this story"
Yes... Because THEY'RE ALL DOING IT.
I've only been subscribed to this channel for a few days and I've already seen two stories that absolutely no one else is covering. thank you Lunduke.
The Missouri AG would not bring the case if he did not think that he could win it.
Interesting how these companies talk about diversity but they only got hardcore discrimination lmfao. Also, remember when software was software? Pepperidge farm remembers
Holy shit. First time I've heard about it
This is even more blatant at colleges and universities.
When a country leans to ANY extreme, some subset of its citizens are hurt. Until we get back to 'talking at the dinner table' and being open to compromise and accepting of others ideas were gonna see more and more of this.
It won't end, because we're not all the same, we're tribal, and we don't like disparate outcomes. The only peaceful way out is considered extreme, but we'll get there eventually, just without the peaceful part.
@@shaunpatrick8345 The only people I see that won't compromise and negotiate are the far left; I think even the farthest of Republicans are willing to give and take, while I don't see the same from the other aisle.
Bailey is also suing NY for lawfare against Trump.
I hope he checks his brake cables.
I think Lunduke should take this to some of the saner people that have podcasts, like Dave Rubin or something. I bet Tim Pool would do something on it too.
Finally! It is about time we start suing these companies for discrimination.
I doubt it would effect other countries.
Some backwards countries, like canada, _allow_ discriminatory hiring practices, by law.
require
Now that’s a state I’d consider moving into if I move to the USA🙌
About time this stuff has been going on for decades under Obama Clinton even trump
Technicality but an important one. Paul Cormier is a former CEO. He's now a chairman.
The people who have followed orders in fear, will get the justice, that only people who are now cast out of all reparations as "undesirables", are due
Unbelievable how such a big story is being ignored across the tech media
Have to love this new age journalism 🤣
Thank you for talking about this!
Need to expose the British post office the British pm and infosys
Jim Crow is alive and well in the tech industry.
Jim Snow
This isn't discrimination against ethnic minorities, this IS discrimination against Caucasians and Asians in technology.
Thanks.
Wow.
We’ve seen things alright like Hindu only jobs
You can have a job requirement being speaking a specific language to get around some of these things, but anyone can learn a language, without It being against their virtues/identity.
I did a quick search and I found it covered by several outlets. Last year too. You may be one of the first, but you're not the only outlet that covers it. Your coverage is good, but please don't brag so much when you haven't checked properly.
I also did a quick search, and also used an equivalent search term for Tesla. Only 1 of the first 20 results for IBM was something similar to this story, but it was from 2022 and was reported by PR Newswire, which is not exactly mainstream. For Tesla, against which far less serious allegations were made, there are results from famous publications all around the world.
How on Earth did Missouri get a Republican AG who isn't completely 💩?
Missouri is too small to matter.
Missouri is bigger than some countries lol
However, the case law precedent does matter, and 6.2 million proud Missourians would politely disagree with you. 🙂
This is the kind of insanity that has to stop. IBM is a good company and those statements are taken out of context and bull they are racist? Yet if the ceos were people of colour no one would argue here. As a Asian Filipino dont need the sanctimonious ag being offended on my behalf so mind ya damn business.
Do you have stocks in IBM or something lmao why are you defending blatant racism so hard
you felt the need to comment on how not offended you really are. But the law is clear, and if you have issues with that you should participate in the political system.
IBM is a good company? What century are you talking about? IBM has been utterly atrocious to its staff for as long as I can remember. It may have been a "little" better in the 90's.
No one cares what you're personally offended by. We care about what the laws are and, more importantly, what they aught to be to promote human flourishing. Racial quotas of any sort aren't good or just.
It's not about offence, it's about systemic racism.
