Nobody wants to face the media down 3-0 in the World Series. Props to Rizzo for patiently and thoughtfully answering the questions. I've had my fill of these pre-game media sessions, so, Dodgers, please complete the job tonight!
Dodgers fan, born and raised. Was in Navy boot camp and some follow on training during his run with the Cubs. How can you not love this guy? What a class act. He is who you build a winning team around. If they want to win next year, let this guy lead.
He looks defeated, you cant give up, you need to fight till the last out! Dodger fan here but feel bad for the losing team 😢 go Dodgers, let’s get that win!
I love Rizz. Die hard Cubs fan. He’s a gamer and a rock man. But my man looks just down and out. Dodgers really brought it. I certainly didn’t expect them to be so dominant and I don’t think the Yankees did either tbh. I think they got caught off guard by their big time aggressiveness from pitch one and I haven’t seen adjustments from NY. I’m not even so sure Yankees should come out aggressive first pitch swinging because I think Dodgers might try to finesse it early.
It’s unfortunate in these situations that one team and fanbase has to lose. Both organizations have a lot to be thankful for and need to keep their heads up. Im a Dodgers fan and we have had our fare share of losses in the last few years….keep your heads up…GO DODGERS!
As a Yankee fan, I respect where you’re coming from a lot. I hope we win tonight, but you guys have an incredible team and have had an incredible season!
As Dodgers fan, who used to be Red Sox, I respect the Yankees and their fans no matter what happens. They never talked smack about the Dodgers unlike the Mets and the Padres and their fams have been classy. So much love from a Dodgers fan.
What? There was an entire bar (Billy’s Sports Bar & Grill) cheering for Ohtani getting hurt in game 2. It’s on UA-cam. There’s no respect for the game there.
Well I don't know about those but the fans in the stadium were much tamer than the Padres and Mets and that bar you speak of....ITS A BAR!! you'll have those types.
Hey, I respect your experience, but I am a life-long Mets fan and in the NY Metro area. Yankee fans vs Mets fans - you’ve got it reversed. Witness what happened to Betts last night. Rooting for the Dodgers
1) So-called fans assaulting Mookie 2) Fans cheering when Ohtani got hurt and hit by a pitch 3) Fans shouting "F*ck you Freddie" during Stand up to Cancer 4) Fans flipping off Ohtani 5) Fat Joe Yankee "fans" do not deserve any respect. They are not worthy of respect.
i appreciate what rizzo is saying about judge. and it’s legit just a game, but these guys ARE remembered for their results. they just are. i’m a dodgers fan so i 100% want the dodgers to continue to stifle aaron judge, but at the same time i feel for the guy. it’s gotta suck and weigh so heavy on him - kinda like mookie last year. aaron judge seems like an awesome person and he’s obviously a great player, but his struggles absolutely will define him on some level going forward. it’s naive to suggest anything else. that being said, he’s a generational talent. but to this point, he hasn’t produced on this stage. i wonder if trout would trade places with him. there are a lot of greats who disappear or never get a legit chance in the playoffs. go dodgers.
Die hard. Dodgers fan here, and I respect Anthony Rizzo so much from Cubs days I always was impressed by him. Come on guys, fight your ass off! Like big papi said, the energy level is so down, like a funeral he said, pick yourselves up guys! Sorry about fat joe too, it should have been Alicia Fkn Keys! 🎉
It’s interesting to hear the difference in how the 2 programs of players/management speak when behind on games. If I remember correctly, the dodgers try to keep things relaxed, maintain trust in each other, and belief in their system/formula to pull through when behind or still needing more wins to advance in post-season games. But the Yankees you hear them say “we gotta win this” I’m probably over analyzing but that might be a telling difference. In my experience, feeling the pressure to win can be a powerful short term stimulus but is fragile. It’ll catch on with early positive signs, but can really backfire when things don’t go their way early on. On the other hand, the “trusting the process/team/leadership etc” approach can help you stay in it to the end, despite the signs or where the momentum is. For baseballs sake I wish this was a closer fight between the 2 teams in what we all hoped would be the battle of the giants but it’s crazy that it’s so one sided. Who knows til the end though!
As a fan who watched baseball on and off, and practiced batting like professionals as a kid, for the batters they need to have couple of batting stances. Because alot of pitchers pitch differently, and some pitchers momentum is slightly off. If you're a power hitter, you are looking for a breaking ball or a fastball. Very hard to hit a ball that's moving around. You need to place your face closer to the plate and change your batting stance
Part of the series that hasn't been talked about much, if at all. Aaron Boone doesn't make the decision for Nestor Cortes to the close game 1, highly likely Yankees are down 2-1 vs 3-0. That was a horrible decision. You can't even blame Nestor, cause he shouldn't have even been sent to the pen, let alone on the world series roster. Also, pretty sure, as soon as Roberts saw Boone make that move game 1, he knew he was schooling him in the mgr dept. In fact, I think this is the playoff run, in which the front office ACTUALLY let Roberts make the moves vs going purely by analytics AND finally playing small ball when needed. Credit where credit is due.
Rizzo is classy. Yanks are a very good team- just not their year. Dodgers were great the last two years but got cold at the wrong time. This year, their great team got it done. They were the best team this year- most wins, most runs, etc. Congrats to Yankees on a great season, too.
Aren't you bright 😂 like what you think? You play 162 games to get there. With the additional 5-6-7 of course he is sad captain obvious lol g Wizz batman
Rizzo needs to go!! No only because he screwed up not making the play on the ground ball by mookie but because we need a better 1st baseman over all!! Clayton, Rodan, Tommy kahnley, Rizzo and verdugo gots to go!! Waste of money investing on Rodan!! Also Boone and Cashman need to take a hike!! Sorry yankee fans, but the truth hurts!!
Lmao I love watching Yanks fans lose their minds. Cole should've covered first. Rizzo had to stop his toward 1B momentum to field that ball with spin. Cole should've definitely been over there. But guess what.?? Rizzo helped my team win a world series. Love that guy. But glad he couldn't help yours win. 😂😂😂😂
@@KrazyLury He just have kept the loser vibe with him when he left. Again, keep him far, far away. RSox fans feel the same, even before he left them too.
No disrespect but these young men are soft in their approach. I told them I love them? This is baseball. It is weird to me. He sounds defeated and the series is not over at all. Imagine if the Dodgers had this approach when the Padres owned us all year and the first games in the playoffs at home!!
I prefer to think positively and that’s what the Dodgers have been doing anyways. There is no guarantee Cole can pitch another gem and especially this time at Yankee Stadium. Both Ohtani and Betts took Cole to the warning track in their first at bats at Dodger Stadium. Rodon already got rocked. Yankees lost games they could have won. That’s the difference. The Yankees relief pitchers are getting worn out. The Dodgers are deeper and more fresh. Cousins has pitched in every game. The irony is that Gil may pitch 4 good innings but he needs 6-7 and even then there is no guarantee that the Yankees relief pitching can continually hold on. You honestly expect Boone to suddenly make the right calls when he’s been making the wrong calls all series. Just too much wishful thinking on the Yankees part. Some Yankees fan made a comment that if Judge struck out again with a man on base it’s over. That’s exactly what happened. What’s with Soto too. He lazily chased after Mookie’s bloop single. He was jogging like Stanton to home base. He also misplayed Kike’s double which turned into a triple where the Dodgers scored on a sac fly. And remember. The Yankees nearly got shut out “after” Rizzo’s speech. So much for inspiration. The Dodgers already know the job is not finished. Roberts was part of a 3-0 comeback when he was on the Red Sox against the Yankees. No team in World Series history has come back from 3-0.
