      Beat him with Mookie in RF. Front office plans to move him to 2nd base per reports. Which leaves the outfield with Taylor, Outman, Pages as it stands now. Can you really look at that outfield and say we don’t need Soto? Even if you resign Teoscar the outfield is Teo, Outman, Pages. In all honesty they need Teo, and one more outfielder to make up for Mookie not being in RF. Who better than Soto to fill that void. You can’t use the “We just beat Juan Soto” argument because the lineup and team construction is going to vastly different to 2024.

    Buehler is not a big loss, he hasn’t pitched well in over two seasons. Just because he closed out a game does not warrant him a contract. Flaherty on the other hand is a work horse pitcher that has done well for the Dodgers.

    • @edomarpez1840
      @edomarpez1840 2 дні тому

      It's not only the game he closed. He pitched great in game 3 WS as he did before that against the Mets (10 innings, 0 runs, 4 walks, 13 SO). In this regular season (2024) he struggled which was normal coming back from his 2nd TJ, 2023 didn't pitched at all, and 2022 he only had 12 starts (when he blew his arm) including a complete game shutout, and 2021 he was great. I wouldn't say he hasn't pitched well in over 2 seasons.

    • @PullinMyOwn
      @PullinMyOwn 2 дні тому

      The only reason he got hurt last year was because he signed so late and didn’t have the proper ramp up. He was very dominant for the last 2 years. Don’t see any reason why that is going to change. As a SF fan, this hurts big time. Bigger than losing out on Judge.

    Whats funny , Before Snell signed with the Giants last year. He was looking for a long term deal and no one wanted to offer him the contract. Even the 182 mill right now. Teams didn’t wanna give it to him but all of a sudden Dodgers said ok we’ll give u a long term contract. Everyone is up and arms about it. There were plenty of times other Teams could have signed him but they didn’t...Also, Deffered contract is not exclusive to Dodgers. All MLB teams can do the same,. Actaully deffered contracts has been happening for more than 30 yrs. that's why there was the Bobby Bonilla contract.

    I'm not a Dodgers or Yankees fan i can't stand either of them but i can't disagree with Ben that the cheap teams are more of a problem in baseball than those actually trying.The post season is basically set up for cheap teams to succeed and so many still won't spend what it takes.As long as fans support their teams regardless of the product they put on field these owners will continue to just pocket money and not try.The one good thing about teams trying to buy championships it's fun watching them lose which they do more often then not.

    I wouldn't allow Ohtani to pitch until september. And i wouldn't let Buehler walk. He finished too strong with all or most of his pitches showing swing and miss tendencies. He's spinning the ball really well. And he fits the Dodgers with flamboyant pitching mechanics like Snell. It's a good look. I wouldn't let Buehler go. Plus the entire staff is like long relievers and 5 inning pitchers. That eats the load by redistributing innings pitched and lowering pitch counts. Then you gotta figure that half the pitching staff is more likely to wind up on the IL. They need another pitcher and Buehler's their man. Mookie and Snell are going to be like spiderman 1 and 2. They're going to need extra depth in the starting rotation to prepare in case something like last year happens again where they're down to three starting pitchers again. It's unlikely but you never know. And they're all more likely going to be 100-125 inning pitchers to spread the load around and have enough juice left for October. Juan Soto's a bad move. His body language and facial expressions in the batter's box tells me all I need to know . Just like when Crochet made that contract demand last year. That's all I need to know about Crochet and Soto not to sign either of them. Then I might sign Kim and peruse free agency for relievers. Depending on how fast Freeland is developing. And try to trade Taylor and install Gauthier possibly. It's hard to say. Depends on how he played last year. Then trade Muncy and try Hoese at third Or seek an ugrade at third . In any case I would have intermittent resting periods for the players much like intermittent fasting. It's the same principle transference branching off of fractal symmetry. Something like one ,two , three weeks off and longer in some cases to reduce risk of injuries and stimulate recovery times and related factors. It would be part of the evolution of the game . And i would push to increase roster sizes on all teams to add relief pitching especially and a seventh starter ready to go during the season. And two more relievers. Every team's bullpen is too worn out by late October which increases injury stints and often end careers prematurely . It makes very little sense for the rules commitee to be self destructive and not consider load limitations on pitcher's arms in conjunction with the massive amount of innings relievers can pitch and how many times they have to warm up from starting cold . Or on consecutive days if not multiple days a week.
