    For your cricut mat, once your mat run out of stickiness, spray it with isopropyl alcohol. If it has some gunks sticking to it, just clean it by scraping it flat with pressing tool or any plastic ruler. Your mat will be sticky again

      and if that doesn't work you can even apply tacky glue. I've used Aleene's Tack-It glue and it worked fine.

    HI! Miss Mars! First of all, advance happy birthday! ✨💕 Last year was a little bit difficult for me, I love art and I love trying to learn things on how to improve my art, I practice every day until I got busy with work. I'm a frontliner here in the province, and it was very tough because of increased covid cases, non stop vaccinations, etc. I got burnout from work, worried for my health and when I did try to draw, I was too tired and anxious to do it. I didn't draw for a day, a week until it turn to months. I was stressed out until late November when the cases decrease a little here. I thought that I wasn't able to appreciate drawing again bcoz of stress until I tried picking my pen up and started drawing how I felt that day. And somehow, I slowly started to draw things that relieved my heart, things I appreciate. What I learned that time is that a person is not the only thing we can open up our feelings too. Even our "art" can help us spark the passion that we thought dwindled over time. Art helped me realized I don't need to hold everything, I should expressed all my emotions. And i was very thankful for that, it saved me.
    P.S. watching your vids also inspired and helped me pull through life struggles

    Hi Mar! I would like to share this with you. I never thought that i could make an art using photoshop. I've always been a fan of digital arts but i really dont know how to make one.. But since i started working on my current company, as a marketing assistant. They asked if i could help out my graphic artist to make materials faster. The thing is, i really dont know how? But my workmate was really patient and good teacher! Showed me the ways to edit with shortcuts. Now im the one who makes digital collats for contests of brand collabs. But through the process, i realize that i could make something that was inspired from my fave artist. [BTS] i make shirt designs but never tried stickers. I dont wanna call myself a fanartist but i really like arts and crafts🥺. Now im buying a printer next week for the 1st time to pursue this. And your giveaway will be perfect fot me to start. I've been waiting for a sign if ill pursue this or not. Been watching lots of yt videos of small businesses but it's really rare to find a channel like yours. You're a filipina and i relate to your struggles. You've shown 2 examples of creating and executing how your things are made. That was really touching, bc for now, cant afford to buy a machine cutter. Your other options will be fine for me. Thanks mar!

    Hi, as a user, which do you think is better, silhouette portrait or cameo?

    • @TheArtofMar
      @TheArtofMar  2 роки тому

      Both of them do the job, so there's really nothing "better" in my opinion. It just depends on your needs and your budget. Portrait is more affordable, very good space saver, lightweight and compact. Cameo 4 cuts faster, maybe cuts better with thicker materials, but more expensive. But as we said, both do the job well of cutting stickers. We cannot compare them with other materials cos we only use them for thin products. Hope this helps!

    Hey Mar! I noticed you’re using a Macbook Air M1, I’m actually considering of getting one myself but I have to ask, do you have the base model or the upgraded one? If you have the base 256gb, is it enough for the type of work that you do? Does it get really hot since it doesnt have a fan? And can it really handle multiple adobe apps as well? I’m an illustrator and designer so I’m really getting some info from people, thanks a lot! Hope you see this :)

    • @TheArtofMar
      @TheArtofMar  2 роки тому +2

      We use the 500gb model since we couldn't use cloud (internet problems), and we also still use an additional external drive. I can't say for sure if 256gb is enough for video editing and multitasking. We usually use photoshop and adobe premiere pro at the same time, and the model we're using is doing pretty well!
