I tried this sequence today several times in sparring. I could not get the arm bent into the kimura grip. This is because my opponents wound resist my grip behind their tricep. They would ball up and pull away from me. But I see now that the arm that pulls the tricep is placed on top of the first grip. I think I had it backwards in sparring.

Thanks for this. R u always able to roll him over after u set up the tarikoplata grip? If your partner does not roll, what options are there?
Right foot in direction to his head, left on neck/head, hold pants and he should tap or roll
Bicep slicer or finish it from the bottom, or apply that pressure till he rolls with you 😅
