      Hi Vivek! Certainly a great school but bear in mind, there will only be a select number of UK-based companies coming on campus. So, if you don't plan staying in Portugal and don't speak the language fluently, you might want to consider other options

    Thanks for the video. Whats your take on MBA ST Gallen? In some rankings and reviews it is ranked quite prestigious but in some other (like yours) not so much. Is IMD more renown? thanks

    • @adrianbruno-mba
      @adrianbruno-mba  Рік тому +2

      Hi Franco. Thanks for your comment. IMD is definitely more renown! While St. Gallen is a great school and has a great program, I wouldn't put them in the top-tier bucket. However, their Master's programs are very good though

    CBS and Essec aren't featured in FT rankings. Are they prestigious schools nonetheless, offering good ROI?

    • @adrianbruno-mba
      @adrianbruno-mba  Рік тому

      Thanks Siddharth! Both are solid schools. A one-year MBA can have a higher ROI simply based on the short duration. It depends on your post-MBA goal: industry, location, function. If you can achieve the same goal with a school like CBS and ESSEC, your ROI will be higher due to lower cost (tuition and opportunity cost)

    Actually I am doing my bachelors in economics from open learning University and thinking of doing a job of full time in data analyst role for 2 years that does not require any degree.
    Do business schools in europe (1 year mba) like Insead, bocconi, said, and others consider the full time job as full time job while doing bachelors in open learning University?
    Like can i directly apply for mba after my bachelors with 2 year of full time work experience while doing my bachelors in open learning (distance education)?

    • @adrianbruno-mba
      @adrianbruno-mba  Рік тому

      Thanks Zaid. I have seen people attend business school right after graduating from undergrad while they worked full time. Because you will be on the younger side, you will have to have a stellar GMAT score or be able to provide other great achievements in your life. INSEAD, Bocconi, Said, etc. are all very competitive. There is a lot of great talent applying there, so you need to be able to stand out somehow.

    Hi Adrian, what’s your take on mannheim and WHU?

    • @adrianbruno-mba

      @@adrianbruno-mba thanks for getting back Adrian. Yes both schools are top tier and yes I do want to work in Germany. What criteria should we use to select between these two, given that their outcomes, tuition are very much comparable. Is there any framework you would suggest.

    • @adrianbruno-mba
      @adrianbruno-mba  7 місяців тому

      @@harrybrar9094 A lot of research goes a long way! Read their employment reports and compare it to the industry you want to break in to, check their rankings (although take it with a grain of salt), talk to current students and alumni and ask for their impressions, and most importantly, visit the campus and get a "feel for it". You will know if the vibe is right for you.

    Is it too late to break into IB if you are in your early 30s post MBA? I heard so many ppl saying it’s too late, wanna hear your thoughts, they said age matters, is it true

    • @adrianbruno-mba
      @adrianbruno-mba  11 місяців тому

      Hi Liam. It is definitely NOT too late!!! You will see post-MBA Associates at Bulge Brackets as old as 39. So, early 30s is not a deal breaker at all

      @@adrianbruno-mba thanks for your respond, are you sure about this though because I’ve very mixed response from this question. Some say age don’t matter, I’ve got a friend in IB based in London, he was telling me stop getting your dreams or expectations too high, coz he mentioned age does matter they prefer younger associates as compared to older associates since most associates are early 20s. Basically he was telling me mba recruiting has drastically slowed down in recent years, so I just want your thoughts on that. He also mentioned that an IB associate role is quite huge as well, so they would favor candidates with very similar work experience pre mba as opposed to non finance, however I have seen ppl using mba to switch their careers from non finance to finance. Not sure maybe Europe IB recruiting is diff than us IB recruitment?

    • @adrianbruno-mba

      @@options888 If your goal is to end up at Goldman Sachs, then that might be challenging unless you are a US veteran. Maybe right now, it is a challenge to pivot into IB with all those layoffs going around. You would be competing with already trained bankers for similar job positions. However, there are a ton of IB opportunities in a good and healthy market. It depends on how open you are with the brand of the firm.
      Also, I can tell you that US IB recruitment offers more options that European IB as only a handful hire MBA grads in London as opposed to 30+ IBs in the US.

      @@adrianbruno-mba thanks for your answer, in other words, if I aim to do IB using an MBA as a route, US MBA offers a lot more IB opportunities as compared to European MBAs, and that age may not matter as much in the US if I have the right relevant skillsets just because in US there are a lot more IB opportunities?
