@sennheiser #ambeo #soundbar and #subwoofer review To buy the Ambeo Soundbar Plus: amzn.to/3WiSdy1 To buy the original Ambeo Sohndbar Max: amzn.to/3Yi5Zme
I’m seriously glad to see Sennheiser branch out like this. Price point is a bit steep, but if you don’t have space for a traditional home theater, it can be a bargain. I’m curious, because the review didn’t mention it - how did disc-based material sound?
Survey went out on the device to adjust left/right balance, add rears or built in Google home. Hopefully everyone doing it has selected add rears. 😅 I reckon it's just a matter of time before they come 🤤
If they released rear wireless speakers, wouldn't the soundbar itself need some physical update or might they have already included whatever it needs without telling us? Maybe a firmware update via ethernet or Wi-Fi would be enough. I would love that complete system, including sub, but I'm guessing it would cost around £2,200 ($2,750 US).
@@hedgehog1965uk Would just be a firmware update. The soundbar itself does more of a 180 degree sound than a full 360 if I'm honest. While it still sounds absolutely amazing and the sound stage is wide, you rarely get sounds from behind. Rears would obviously sort that problem out and personally would be no contest with other soundbars if they did add them.
It’s just for review unfortunately. I like it a lot. But I use a Sonos ecosystem for my entire house so it doesn’t make sense for me to get another soundbar.
@DavidSusiloUnscripted I got you, thanks for your reply. I have some issues with the bar and noticed a few people are experiencing the same. Sennheiser support is not helping, and the seller gave me the opportunity to return it for a full refund. I love the soundbar, but unfortunately, I can't cope with the fact that a Premium bar has problems and the manufacturer doesn't care! Can you recommend something better than this bar? A soundbar & sub + rears or just soundbar & sub, please. Thanks again. Max
@catalinmaxim It’s quite unfortunate that you’re experiencing such bad situation. I still highly recommend my Sonos set up. No they are not as good as the Sennheiser but they are stable, always work and always have amazing tech support. Even when I contact them as a regular client (not as a reviewer) I always get great customer service from them.

Just wondering what kind of TV you are running with your soundbar. As you may or may not know.. for one to be able to stream Dolby Atmos one will also need a Dolby Atmos passthrough TV! Good video btw.
Thank you for watching; Yes, for testing I use Panasonic GZ2000, Sony X900H, and Nvidia Shield Pro connected directly to the soundbar and the output of the soundbar to my JVC RS3100 projector.
@@DavidSusiloUnscripted yeah the Panasonic GZ 2000 has a beautiful visual display. In fact I would go as far to say it's the best visual display I've ever seen to date and this is coming from an LG gallery OLED owner. 😭
Samsung gives a more “wow” sound but I get tired of it easily. The Sennheiser sounds more natural and I can listen to it for many hours without fatigue.
I think that the big MAX can only be connected to 1 sub and only wired.

It’s typical Sennheiser good sound. I would gladly play music using it too.
I relisten to it and he does reference the difference in price but it’s not very clear and he should definitely pull that out and highlight it
Looks like they really updated all of their inputs and connectivity options this year!

Not going to lie, my hta7000 is really nice... But I wish this was around when I bought it.
Hi
Question: Do you still own the bar, or was it just for review?
Thanks, Max

@DavidSusiloUnscripted Thank you! I considered Sonos before I purchased the Sennheiser but didn't support the same codecs. (MPEG-H, DTS-X)
Is it better then bose 900 or sonos arc?
Sonos Arc is better than Bose but for surround realism, the Ambeo is still the best
Hi. I enjoyed your review. Does the Ambeo Plus get really hot like the Amber Max is said to?
No it doesn’t. Even Ambeo Max is only really warm, not hot. Thank you for watching and subscribing
How is it compared against Sennheiser Max in sound quality? Anything compromised?
The max gives you an even better surround envelopment
Can’t wait for your updated review with 4x Ambeo subs!
LOL. I wish. I need to be sponsored in order to buy 4 subs. That and a written promise that my wife won’t kill me.
Btw, I’m going to CES. Are you?
😂 WAF = Important!
@@bcahl25 exactly. She’s okay if I want to do and buy whatever for my home theatre, but she draws the line in soundbars.

Since my place limitation, do you think it is good for movie/ music without the sub? Thx
It will be good enough but not really good. For the Ambeo MAX you can use it without sub but Ambeo PLUS I recommend a sub.
This perfect for my room with dual subs , preordered sometime January 👌 thx
Congrats on the purchase!!
@@DavidSusiloUnscripted actually now I'm second guessing myself, ambeo max with a pb3000 lol I dunno wat to do now 😆
thx or atmos? 😉
How did you add dual subs ? 2 subs or 2 subs in 1 box?
@@richierich7261 I didn't go ahead waiting for the dragon to be released, I believe a simple Y splitter cable works tho
Is there any bluetooth dropout issues with this bar?
Not from my tests.
Why is he saying it’s 3500 when it’s 1500? The max is 2500 or you can get it for two grand on Crutchfield
I’m in Canada and the Max is $3500 here.
Have you listen to it vs Samsung hw-q990b. Is it better whit Samsung becouse of the sub and surrounds on the Samsung..?
Samsung gives a more “wow” sound but I get tired of it easily. The Sennheiser sounds more natural and I can listen to it for many hours without fatigue.
It better be for 2000 pounds lol
too expensive
Nothing cheap is good.
It’s not too expensive. It may be too expensive for you but things in life have all different price points. Welcome to the world
Boombox 3, Xtreme 3, Pulse 5, charge 5, flip 6. Would destroy this thing easily.
Sure, said someone who never actually test the Ambeo
