I find so cool how many Asian memes r relatable to latins/Hispanic as well. Like we call r friends parents or parents friend titi or tio also, put or pots and pans in the oven for storage, eat rice everyday, can’t talk back to parents, store plastic grocery bags in a drawer and many of our hard candys r the same as well😊😂
Woah that’s so cool. Africans can also relate to so many of these too especially the pots in oven and the plastic bags in drawers. The only one that we don’t relate to all that much is eating rice everyday. In my school people were complaining that they only served rice daily and they wanted like one of our starchy foods. In Ghana here our starchy foods are banku, fufu, kenke, and so many others and those are the foods people eat everyday. Although lol we also eat rice everyday too but not every meal so I don’t know why they were complaining.
My parents back in India put the clothes out in the sun 😂😂😅 in case of rain we have a cloth stand under the fan to fan dry them 😅😅😅 and yes the water thing is called a bidet I've used it since I was young but after moving to Canada my a** is having a hard time 😂😂😂
Okay, I’m not Asian, but I had to explain once how two anime characters weren’t cousins just because they called each other’s parents “auntie” and “uncle”. It was the most astonishing argument of my life.
All of this relatable 💯. Especially when you're from South part of India we cannot live without rice morning to evening we can eat rice all day. Only rice can make our tummy full😋
That's what I was saying it's the northern part in china and the northern part in India where they're fine without 🍚 since they're the wheat consumers but the rest of Asia Don't count food as a meal unless rice is involved 😂
6:51 This is the one I relate to the most though, my Mom is the type of asian who collects grocery bags from the store and uses the oven as a storage cabinet 😂
As Indonesian Asian: *died laughing* so accurate. Most of the people who heard my family and me when talking in CN or so called Mandarin, we mostly being assumed as Singaporeans. Otherwise they would have thought we were Japanese people😭😭😭🤣
Asians and Africans have so much similarities. Wait till Kin Ryan hears that we actually eat every kind of animal unless you choose not to and we also sun dry our clothes, even when you take them for dry cleaning they sun dry it. Also we eat rice almost everyday too 😂 weird,I know Also we call people older than us aunty and uncle and God forbid you to call your parents by their names, you’re up for adoption immediately 😂😂😂
But don’t you notice that Africans also like to eat like starchy foods other than rice? I don’t know which country you’re from but I know in mine they like to eat fufu a lot too.
Actually I think the only same thing is we both eat rice but not at all cuz we don't see ourselves as same as you guys Africans people ~ I think the African is more like India ~
I'm from southern Asia , basically from India so I can totally relate everything.... specially rice 😅.....i mean as an Bengali rice is main thing for eat.... we take rice thrice in a day....so when you go for dieting parents be like:- eat some rice otherwise you will be weak😂😂
*that one white friend the rest of the world side eyed for a few seconds because he doesnt understand the importance of rice*😂😂😂 *me side eyeing that person for the rest of my life*
The university I go to mostly has asian people even though it's an english medical school and my indian friend passed out when she saw me cook plain boiled chicken and sauerkraut with no rice (im russian and thats how we save money)
I don't understand why I'm not from Asia but I still can relate to almost half of everything he says like literally maybe that's why they're a lot of Asians in our country because they can keep living the life that they did in their country
I'm half asian since I was born in england but grew with asian family but I can understand this so much, but one thing how not to get in trouble for not getting a good grade on your test, just don tell them about it. My parents always forget that tests exists in my class so I never get I trouble. Except for my SATS results, my mum was complaining to me all day 😓
In the West a lot of southerners down south eat a rice with their meals. I hardly eat rice bc of eating it so much growing up. I usually would eat mash potatoes and gravy before eating rice. I keep rice in my cabinet however in case of guests visiting. Some of my friends and family like rice with their meals.
As an Asian most of the things are relatable. As a southasian (idk abt other countries tho) in our country we won't eat rice everyday it'll be twice a day or once a day. Most of the time once a day. But we use water for nature's call. And I never knew that some are eating cats and dogs. It's a new fact for me. Most of the things are relatable
it's funny cuz I'm Brazilian and I can relate to almost everything here lol rice everyday, if there is no rice is not a complete meal disrespect your parents and the flip-flops (havaianas) will fly whenever you are and get you lmao but I'm the failure of the family and youngest so I can call their first names sometimes without being told off, I'm already a lost cause lol sad but true
I'm African and i can relate to everything maybe except one or two I feel like Africans and Asians have that similarity. 😂 Btw I really love watching your videos.
7:19 I can actually relate to this... it's even harsher in my country (Sri Lanka from South Asia). If a woman wants to have a good married life, she's supposed to be a virgin till the wedding night. Otherwise, she would be cussed out later on, even by her own husband. It's sad but it's true...
Re: Pots in ovens. Traditional CJK cuisine doesn't involve a whole lot of baking, so many CJK households use the oven as storage space (see also dishwasher as storage because everything gets hand washed).
As an American let me clear some things up 1. If I talk back to my parent I will get in so much trouble 2. I wear uniform at my school 3. I don't get paid for my grades 4. I never called my friends parents by their first name Yea I think that's it
8:29 I mean I personally just ask them what they prefer to be called by, and the answers differ. I have one friend's mom who I call by her first name because she said being called auntie makes her feel old. But I also call other friends' parents by uncle or auntie if they prefer it.
As an Aussie, we had to wear school uniform and during primary school we had to wear hat's or no play. I think the uniform thing is smart cause it will help the school to understand if there is a intruder 😅
Loved the choice of topic everything you were talking about made sense 👍I just found the background music quite loud compared to your fast narration voice volume, so trying to distinguish between them I had to rewind a few times so I could hear and understand properly, maybe because I’m getting old! 😢 the music was quite fast tempo, that’s what caused the issue for me, anyway as always lovely to watch and listen to your points of view on an array of topics, which enlighten me to information I wouldn’t necessarily have any knowledge about, thank you ☮️💡❤️
For people didn't know about this, although there are lots of country eat rice but most of them try the really different rice types from East and mainlain Southeast Asian because we have more sticky rice than them and we also use the (Korean) cooker :> with the exquisite method so that you should try our rice too because it really good (I just wanna show the reason why we have that meme and prove that not all Asian is the same :))) ~

It's just that people have been drying clothes in the sun for so long that change is difficult for them. That's probably why we dry clothes in the sun.
I mean I’m from the Middle East not sure if that qualifies as how people see the stereotype, but anyway even as an Arab I still relate to these Asian stereotypes 😭
I never know what to call my parents friends either. Like sometimes it’s Mrs, or Mr so and so, but sometimes it’s Tia, because I’m half Mexican. But sometimes it’s kinda neither, some people prefer to be called by their first names, and it’s confusing.

Me from Indonesia, and I can relate with the refrigerator thing 😂😂😂 My parents do not like to throw away anything that still look good visually. I bought a big fridge and they still keep the old ones. So it is kind of weird if you enter my parent's dining room, you'll see 3 fridges in a row. 1st fridge is normal, 2nd fridge is to store the dishes, 3rd fridge is to store dry food supplies like instant noodles, canned foods, coffee, tea, sweets, etc. My mom said, fridge is better than kitchen cabinet to store things.
