I worked on search and rescue for many years. I was not a diver but the guys I talked to had the biggest cojones ever. In muddy water like that you can't see anything just like your camera was picking up. They would literally feel for bodies. Can you imagine being underwater and having a dead body pop up in your face?
Thinking in terms of photography on how you can minimize the silt issue. A little research with "Dr. Google" seems to have a few ideas: 1.) Movie the camera closer to the subject. 2.) In post-production try using a de-hazing tool. 3.) If possible, adjust ISO or aperture on the camera. Best would be any "auto ISO" setting that is available. NOTE - Higher ISO will make a more grainy image. 4.) You want the camera closer to the subject, however, you want to distance the light source from the camera. The light being next to the camera causes any particles to reflect back brighter in the camera. 5.) Post editing: *** First removing the green by adjusting tint or the curves adjustment until the photo looks slightly too magenta. *** Next remove the blue using the white balance bar or curves adjustment (and this should correct for the extra magenta, too). *** Finally, use levels or curves to increase the reds, if needed. It is important to note that if the water removed all the red from the scene, adjusting the red levels will not have an effect. *** Do all other post-processing adjustments as usual 6.) Use the water currents to your advantage. Know the direction the water is flowing and try to drag your magnet up stream letting the silt and debris to float away from you. Hope this helps man! Good luck and keep tossing that magnet! :)
The silt stirred up when the magnet hits the mud basically "fogs" the camera. Why it works for divers is that they know not to stir up silt. Silt is even an issue on dives into ships. What you end up seeing is edited footage, like on the Titanic. Something stirs up silt and they have to wait 10 to 15 minutes before the water clears.
I love that fans found you. If I'm ever on your side of the state, I'll totally check the shores and docks. Won't be in the near future though. Lol. What's ice magnet fishing like? I suppose unless you drill 100 holes it would be slow. Lol. Just my brain working in overdrive. Thanks for the videos!
How did you do the ice fishing videos a couple years ago, when you video’d the schools of fish biting? I agree with some of the others who have said the silt coming up when the magnet hits the lake bed is obscuring the visibility. Maybe check with a scuba shop or camera company. You get an A for effort & creativity though! Thanks for the great entertainment.
Even when it's silty I like seeing the underwater footage! Try going to rocky bottom rivers and lakes to see if it works better. Also dropping slowly will help too.
HI Mr. Fisher I LOVE YOUR channel you actually inspired me to magnet fish to th for being born and doing UA-cam Anyway I love your videos have a good day/night where ever you are bye
This try was better than the last camera. I could make out the first beer can and pliers. They were shiny. Rest I could see magnet latch on to something but couldnt make it out. I was thinking moving camera and light closer to magnet too. Great tries!
Such a fun video. You really are an entertainer. All the little finds are so interesting. Part of the visual problem is that the water gets so stirred up from the magnet fitting the bottom and dragging. Maybe in the canoe you could drop it straight down slowly so as not to disturb the silt bottom. Just guessing. Hope you figure it out. I so enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing.
That was awesome 😎 you found some pretty cool stuff. Thank you for sharing all your treasures. Please remember to have fun and stay safe. Can't wait to see your next video. Thank you 😊
Fans from all walks of life, that was so cute. Unfortunately I don't think it will be any clearer that what you got simply bc the magnet hitting the bottom stirs up so much silt it just muddied the water and makes the finds impossible to see. It would be very cool if you found a way to do it. Best of luck on that one. I guess you are now knows as the 'Whats going on today guys" guy lol
The camera did its work! I thought I saw Nessy, some fish driving by in a go-cart, and a UFO! But, seriously, when you first tossed it in, I was crossing my fingers it didn’t get snagged. There’s a lot of $$$ on that rope. I think you’re on to something fun in some clear water. Good luck, and happy magnet fishing!
That Miller beer can is as old or older than I am and I'm 60! It would likely be worth looking in to how much it is worth. It could be thousands! It's cool to see you've become a local celebrity!
Found some cool knives today and some nice pliers. In glad you get out that old fishing line. Your awesome fisher always looking forward to you next video. Keep magnet fishing. Lol
I love to watch your channel, you're always doing something fun. Though it didn't work out really well, you get an A for innovation! Keep those videos coming! Are you going to do any ice fishing with the underwater camera?
Tyler here is my 🤠idea With the flashlight, Is maybe just have two lights on not all four because it’s picking up a lot of dust from the ground I love the distance you have it at 👍🏼 I think you have it all rigged up really good. I say a little too much light I hope they catch the next video of you make your changes that was fun. It’s kind of cool to see you being a celebrity everybody knows your face Mr. Fisher that is so awesome 💐👍🏼👍🏼💃🏼💗🏆
If you ever do this again, maybe it would help with the silt issue if you could put the light closer to the magnet. Just a thought. But this was still fun to watch.
It’d probably be worth it to send down some sort of claw to grab non-metal objects under there since there’s got to be a treasure trove of goodies, not to mention all that fishing line. I’m sure the critters would appreciate a cleaner habitat. 🐟🐠🎣
The nail clippers are old fishing tip, they cut the lines great and you don't have to carry around big pair of scissors. Plus in a pinch they can grab hooks good and even with some umph cut the smaller hooks. Cool Video ty
Hey there been a minute since I committed. That little thing that you called a purse will open up. Just twist and it should open up for you unless it’s rusted together. Hey to see better you need a bigger light than the one you have. Those scuba divers use way bigger spot lights. Love your show. Thank you for sharing your magnet fishing episodes. Until next time be safe happy and healthy. Mississippi
Unfortunately the visibility in the Wolf/Fox Rivers and Lake Winnebago is terrible. You need to try your GoPro rig in a clear water lake or stream. Great Idea though.
The try with the light and camera is a good learning start. Maybe attach the light and camera just above the metal shackle. Thanx for the entertainment.
Dude, I was noticing how beat up your rope is. It looks like you need to cut out the frayed rope close to your magnet. I'd hate to see you lose that wonderful magnet. Thanks for all the great videos!
I haven’t watched the video yet (I like to watch them before I go to work in the morning), but as soon as I saw the title I was like "YES! FINALLY!!!". I can’t wait to watch it!
Hi ya 👋 nice try, just gotta experiment. My first thought was moving the light closer to the magnet. Then when you mentioned the camera I was like of course the camera would need to move with the light. Your water seems to have a lot of silt being carried with the current, so looks murky. Heres to experimenting. Did you give up on the “underwater drone” gizmo? Looking forward to more 😊
I love the GoPro and flashlight idea but next time let the magnet sit a few more seconds so the dirt in the water will settle down. Other than that I love this idea bc we can see other stuff that is in the water 💧
So cool, those guys sounded like super fans! Good content as always, that knife was a great find! lol at the “red beard”comment, that was too funny! Thanks so much!
I was thinking maybe the flashlight should be closer to the magnet? Other than that, I'd say fish in clear water, probably wouldn't find all that cool stuff in clear water though. That big rock thing was pretty cool, I wonder if that is rock or corrosion? What is up with all the nail clipper's? lol Awesome as always Tyler, thank you💖
The dudester is correct, you are stirring up silt, but along with that you need to bring your lights (yep, plural) out from the focal path of the camera. Right now it's like you're driving through a blizzard with your high beams on, you're filming more reflection than anything else.
With those murky waters and thick silt I don’t think there’s much you can do to get better view from the bottom. It would be cool though. I hope someone knows and gives you good advices. Have a good sunday!
Great stuff man I think the trouble is the water is very murky there where they are is clearer water .enjoy your channel and the finding family never miss ‘em.😃
I would try first leaving the flashlight in the same position but move the GoPro closer to the magnet then move the light if you need to. Gonna have to keep playing with it. Those Miller & Schlitz cans have got to be from 50's or 60's before pull tabs. That chair is like the one my grandma had in 70's.
At the end of the day if you want good underwater scenes and water like that you'll need to be in scuba gear and get down in that water magnet fish by hand
I haven’t done much restoration lately. I have to figure out how to make my electrolysis tank work 🤔 I can’t find a “non smart” car charger to use! Stores only sell smart chargers now apparently and those don’t work. Someday I will show all of my stuff 😉
@The Fisher thank you for the lovely hearts that’s been given to me throughout the years, I may I give you a heart in return my friend happy new year to you and your family👍🏼💕🌺💗🌸🍃🌸🍃👍🏼🌺💐🏆🔥🔥🎆
Awesome finds. Your going to have trouble filming underwater with a gopro, because everytime you throw your magnet in it stirs up the dirt from the bottom. That piece that looked like a purse 👛, looks like an old makeup bag that women put their lipstick, and such in. Have a great day my friend ❤️🙂⚘️.
The magnet blocks the light and camera from what I see. What about how you ice fished. Doing this in the kayak too. Two lines. One magnet line and one GoPro line. Good luck in what ever you choose!
I think if you attach the flashlight and the GoPro closer to the magnet you will get a much better picture of what is down there. But I wouldn't do in areas were there is a lot of rocks. Like some comments below, the silt is not helping. If you lower it slowly on the side of the dock, you should get great pictures.
Hey, I'm just enjoying your content with all the really neat relics you pull up from the murky depths. I think it's neet how you want to try different things like in today's videos .I hope you don't feel like you have to keep coming up with new things to keep viewers, because like I said I love your content just by you having fun and pulling up cool relics. Oh geez, I never go swimming again…..🤪
NOPE NOPE JUST NOPE
I dam near sucked half the ocean in an drowned myself first time I dove a body…
Nope now I'm gonna have nightmares 😂
The things you find are neat but your enthusiasm is the real treasure. Keep being silly and awesome.
Some nice finds and fans today!

It's extremely satisfying hearing the objects "clink" onto the magnet!!!
Awesome finds. So cool seeing you interact with your fans. I so love your videos
How cute those older gentlemen were so excited to meet you and get their picture with you. ❤❤❤
I totally giggled at how cute they were!!! 😄💙

it was cool that you left the footage with the fan. so nice of you
Hooray you’re back. I am so happy and I love your enthusiasm. I love for you trying just keep it up. Tyler doing good.

HI Mr. Fisher I LOVE YOUR channel you actually inspired me to magnet fish to th for being born and doing UA-cam Anyway I love your videos have a good day/night where ever you are bye
Light needs to be closer to the magnet. That might help clear it up alittle bit. Try it in your kayak out in the middle of a stream.
This try was better than the last camera. I could make out the first beer can and pliers. They were shiny. Rest I could see magnet latch on to something but couldnt make it out. I was thinking moving camera and light closer to magnet too. Great tries!
So cool that you had your pic taken with a fan. ❤ 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Wow, I don't know why but that was oddly satisfying. Appreciate you for the extra effort!

Loved the excitement of the guys to see you.
Holy smokes…. Great video
I was super excited for the go pro video! You're still my fave! Bless that guy's heart at the end! He was so happy to meet you 💟

There’s a lot of $$$ on that rope. I think you’re on to something fun in some clear water. Good luck, and happy magnet fishing!
That Musky was huge !
Awesome vid! What happened to that underwater drone you had? Maybe you can park it 3-4 feet from the dock and point it where you plan to throw,
That thing is about the same! It doesn’t work very good unless it’s clear water
That was fun Tyler!!! My eyes didn't know where to go! Lots of cool stuff too!!!!! Thanks!!
I don’t like people who throw stuff in the water but I do like people that go magnet fishing.
I could watch these videos all day. All kinds of cool stuff going on here. Love this channel. 👍
❤️
Same, is why I watch this channel and the Bondi Treasure Hunter, both great channels 🥰
Didn’t work that well but great idea ! Thanks for what you do Tyler !!!
My favorite part is hearing the clicks through the GoPro. And the quick preview! Lol
That Miller beer can is as old or older than I am and I'm 60! It would likely be worth looking in to how much it is worth. It could be thousands!
It's cool to see you've become a local celebrity!
sorry to disappoint most cans of that age never really make it past a few hundred at most.
I really enjoy the videos you shoot on fishing docks. It is nice to know what most of your finds are. Keep up the good work.
I think it’d be interesting to see what the camera can see when you are on your kayak
That’s a great idea. You wouldn’t be dropping it so far, won’t stir up stuff as much. Guess we need to wait for warmer weather.
Found some cool knives today and some nice pliers. In glad you get out that old fishing line. Your awesome fisher always looking forward to you next video. Keep magnet fishing. Lol

That was cool tho with the 2 guys . They were totally star struck! 🤣
Love this! Next time after you throw wait like a minute before pulling it do the silt settles

Great finds. Will not take much to clean those up.

Man you have grown so much! I am sorry I have been away so long! Love you man! Keep being awesome!
Perhaps placing the flashlught/GoPro a bit closer to the magent would have resulted in better footage (since the water was so murky)

I bet you felt good getting notice like cool huh keep it up bro hope to see you ice fishing
It’s gotta feel good to het recognized and have fans of all ages! You made that old man’s day!
You should definitely do this again
Pure awesomeness!!!
Awesome! That was fun!
I was thinking maybe the flashlight should be closer to the magnet? Other than that, I'd say fish in clear water, probably wouldn't find all that cool stuff in clear water though. Are you guys wondering why he only sit next to the dock he threw it right under it every single time he should throw even farther away
The dudester is correct, you are stirring up silt, but along with that you need to bring your lights (yep, plural) out from the focal path of the camera. Right now it's like you're driving through a blizzard with your high beams on, you're filming more reflection than anything else.

7:47 The gul gul gulp got me dying 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great channel keep upnthe good work
Keep being so awesome!
Really enjoyed your video. . God bless you 😊 🙏
If the water is pretty still when you start put it in slowly and get a good look around for the next time.
Great stuff man I think the trouble is the water is very murky there where they are is clearer water .enjoy your channel and the finding family never miss ‘em.😃

Another cool video Tyler. I want to see your shelf of treasures LOL Have you restored anything recently?
I haven’t done much restoration lately. I have to figure out how to make my electrolysis tank work 🤔 I can’t find a “non smart” car charger to use! Stores only sell smart chargers now apparently and those don’t work. Someday I will show all of my stuff 😉
@@TheFisher have you tried garage sales or trith stores?
@The Fisher thank you for the lovely hearts that’s been given to me throughout the years, I may I give you a heart in return my friend happy new year to you and your family👍🏼💕🌺💗🌸🍃🌸🍃👍🏼🌺💐🏆🔥🔥🎆
It is because the water is so murky. Visibility is compromised when the water is murky. Even for scuba divers.
You can tell the popular activity for that location..... fishing while drinking beer
Awesome finds. Your going to have trouble filming underwater with a gopro, because everytime you throw your magnet in it stirs up the dirt from the bottom. Maybe wait a couple of minutes once you throw, and see if that clears it up. With the weight of everything it sinks like a stone, and pulls the sentiment from the bottom. That piece that looked like a purse 👛, looks like an old makeup bag that women put their lipstick, and such in. Have a great day my friend ❤️🙂⚘️.
Maybe in the spring and summer the go pro will work better. All the sunlight would help I think. See ya next time😄
Been waiting for the Magnet-cam..✌️
The magnet blocks the light and camera from what I see. What about how you ice fished. Doing this in the kayak too. Two lines. One magnet line and one GoPro line. Good luck in what ever you choose!

too many rocks and you snag the flashlight, go pro, or magnet.
So think the flashlight and camera are too far from the magnet..so murky can't see anything..excellent idea though! 👍
Either way you still r awesome man
Hello CASH, looks quite chilly good luck
You might wanna invest In an aquatic under water camera📷 that's designed for specific under water videos or pictures. Also I wanna ask. The rocks you get with your magnet. Obviously have metal qualities in them have you ever thought about haveing them checked out to see if there might be any kind of value to them? Cause you could be catching money with out even realizing it. I know there are company's out there that are willing to pay good money for metal barring rocks, and or materials. I believe that those rocks might also be some kind of ore.
The underwater light was too bright. It was producing a "light fog", preventing the camera from focusing. If there's any way to dim that light, you might have something there.
I know the footage isn't easy to see but you did the best that you could with what you had. I bet even with super bright lights in murky water it is hard to see anything and if you stir up the sediment on the bottom it is worse.
You attached a go pro to a magnet
Haven’t watched this yet but i wont be surprised if the go pro gets magnetized lol
another video of magnet fishing :) awsome dude you should try this spot more often!
Another great video! I love you ingenuity. Maybe slide the setup closer to the magnet? But in muddy water, it's prolly tough. Maybe try it in the river by the auto shop where you find all the timber "staples" and horse shoes? It might be clearer and shallower.. might have the aid of natural light? I don't know. But anyway great video man!
It s a right idea and good planning, I like it a lot! Every time you throw your line down, I say WHEEE!!
Probably try a place with more of a gravel bottom so there isn’t so much silt.
Oh I just paused for a minute gotta grab my coffee, pause pause did you pick up a halogen flashlight that should be super bright for a site cool cool I can’t wait to watch his video👍🏼
I think it would be extremely hard to get good underwater shots no matter what you use. I have scuba dived in Minnesota and the silt pretty much blocks your view. As soon as you touch the silt, it’s game over. In scuba class we blocked out our mask with tinfoil to simulate what it’s like.
You are so happy
If the rock is not red-ish or brown-ish which indicates iron in it then for sure it's a meteor/meteorite. Especially if it looks all melty and glassy.
Good attempt with the camera. I would suggest you do something about the refection coming from the top of the magnet. Maybe just duct tape
You need to do some more Restoration videos
I really enjoy listening to you...the Gopro not so much...maybe figer it out.,.silt I don't know you just using batteries up...
Keep bringing videos...
Thanks with Love...
Thanks for your videos, super cool 😎😎😎😎.
