This is a good episode. I use to watch this with my dad when I was a little girl. I can’t tell you how much I missed it. He moved out of state and now I watch it to feel close to him.

@@bostonrailfan2427 Yep and My brother has a pair of the Y back that were my dads from 1999 Red Green Pledge week when he pledged to the lower Wisconsin PBS just enough to get the suspenders. Those are the all green set. My brother had them for a month or two before he could get a good belt that did not wear out right away from Running's, a Farm and Fleet type chain in USA.
As an "old fan", when the show is over, it's nap or crap time.
I'm one of Red's "old fans". I have enjoyed this show for many years.

It's funny having Red want Ed to talk about spiders, since Red was established as afraid of spiders back in a Garth Harble animal segment. ("The Big Thing")

as a senior, i remember watching this on pbs, but the problem was their eractic scheduling so took a chance to see if it was on friday evenings .
then they started to show the reruns on a regular time , but was in afternoons ,,,had to work , so taped years on vhs tapes .

@@DragonGateDesign Walter was played by Joel Harris who was the show's stunt coordinator. Both of Steve Smith's sons did appear in the early seasons as the kids in the "Quality Time" segments
Shaun Kennedy Walter was played by Joel Harris, the stunt director for the show (died BASE jumping in Switzerland in 2015). Steve Smith’s sons, Dave and Max, were both on the show as kids. Dave continues on staff to the present.

Ack Jass he was the guy who’d replace Bill in stunts where they cutaway to a wider shot and it was a survivable stunt...he also drove the cars in stunts and Red’s Handyman segments
