So Digital Foundry just figured out that Sony is a hardware company. In Mark Cerny we trust.
DF lost all credibility for me when they said it must be a bug when the first comparisons between the ps5 and the serie x came out
the nerve to discredit the architechture and the guys who worked on hat machine and just say it's a bug sounded very disrespectful in my opinion
What made it all worse was how they even said "teraflops arent everything"...but then acted like they didnt understand what was goin on when the sx was gettin slapped or on par

It's not difficult to understand when you look at the UA-cam viewers affiliation. At least the impression I get is the majority are xbox fanbase, rather the ps fanbase.
Aligning with the majority, or at least giving the impression of it, would increase the sub/views on their channel.
Tbh, though, I think they blow with the wind. One day, praise Sony, next day praise, Microsoft. It just depends on which one is the flavour of the month or which one has a bitter taste that month.

Now the wind has changed, the xbox power narrative failing, gamepass stalling, lack of games and lack of quality from xbox while Sony having success with ps5 sales at roughly 2:1 (only if you add both xsx and xss) ps Pro details (although not officially announced) PSSR, exclusive deals being hits, change of direction from live service, ps portal success.
Those are the same guys who always surprised how the ps5 outperforms the series x and yet, people still take their word as a fact the ps5 won’t run gta6 in 60fps, instead of waiting to 2025😂

I am unsubscribe from them years ago, they are definitely frauds. You would expect them to be honest if they’re doing a legit tech analysis but there not, they always try to make Xbox seem better than it is. They lie so many times after the BS Analysis Bayonetta 3, I unsubscribed from them. Everyone in the comments was calling them out on it. You also notice how there was a really long period of time when they never would compare Xbox and PC lol.

I wouldnt go that hard on DF. I appreciate their tech analytics. The thing is the only thing what they can do right now is, compare the ps5 pro specs with pc hardware (yeah i know inside the ps5 is customized pc hardware). But you cant really compare that. We learned that right now with the PS5 and we will see that again with the pro. Everything inside the PS5 is optimized. That makes a huge difference in terms of performance.

There might be a tiny kernel of truth in Colts mostly untrue statement. If leadership can encompass not just install base but also great innovations there have been times throughout the last 23 years Xbox would be positively innovative (just like Sony at times). eg achievements, harddrive included in the base system, enhancing games in backcompat. Its sad MS is giving up on Xbox.

Outside the obvious bias present thanks to MS giving them that exclusive early access to their last 3 consoles (One X, Series X/S) which translates to views and $$; these guys aren't game developers nor engineers and make judgements based on console HW being very much like PC much of the time which we know is not the case. One big advantage PS5 has always had beyond bespoke HW is the SDK which lets devs code to the metal which Im pretty sure you can't really do anymore on Xbox since moving to GDK vs older XDK.
DF are good for framerate analysis and image quality info but when it comes to predictions about console HW they definitely not any kinda authority. NXGamer way more knowledgeable about that shit than them

Why do gamers NOT understand that PS5 Pro is not suppossed to be a next gen upgrade its a mid gen refresh.
If the base PS5 game is stuck at 30fps its unlikely the PS5 Pro will be patched to do 60FPS. Maybe in some cases it will.
Many factors come into play here. The engine, the developers implemntation, parity deals, the size of the game and its mechanics. Etc, ect....
Any 1st, 3rd party exclusive will mostly do a 60FPS at 4k or if it's a demanding game 1080p/1440p upscaled with AI machine learning which can somtimes look better than native 4K.
Which then allows more room for more frames.Yes, the CPU maybe bootlenecked and only 10% extra.
Though people are forgetting that RT 2,3 X or at times 4X, the AI macine learning and upscaling with 300 TPS. Is a a big deal. It makes a difference, as it's not dedicated to the CPU
Not all games will do 60FPS. Though going by these specs the games will have a higher resolution, better RT implementations and with the AI/Machine learning/Upscaling.
You could easily offset the resolution to 1080p uoscaled to.4K and get 60FPS in most games, not all.
Maybe GTA 6 won't have a perfomace mode. Though one thing is for sure it will be more stable, run at a higher resolution and with AI/Machine learning and RT.
It will look graphically better and you will notice a difference. If it does have a perfomace mode on Series X and PS5. Then the PRO will not only look better praphically, better frames, higher resolution.
The other concering issue is that that games coming from Xbox to PS5 Pro will look and run better, especially if they are patched. This not a good look
In Europe for the month of February sales for Series X/S were down 47%. Nintendo 17% and PS5 2%. If you do the math its a drubbing 10 to 1 in favour of Playstation. That's bad.
Everyone keeps saying that Game Pass can be played anywhere and that console sales don't matter. Yet if that's the case. Why are they.making more consoles when they are clearly not selling and the fact that Game Pass has completely stagnated.
Hence why games are going to orher platfomrs. To garner more interest in Gamepass and make additional money. If Gamepass had been successful, this would not be happening.

FF7Remake was a success, only exclusive for the PS4 with a player base of a 110 million. PS5 has 50 mil. Big difference. FF7Rebirth's sales is a success when comparing the attach ratio of PS4. In average the FF7Rebirth us actually even more successful than FF7Remake. End of story.
I don't really see a negative or biased take per say on PS5 Pro in the excerpt Puertorock picked here, although Alex is a mediocre and cringe speaker overall, however when I watched this DF show I did see a very lengthy and uncalled for focus on the fact that the CPU would be just a slight overclock, which isn't that big of a deal compared to the substantial GPU upgrade the PS5 pro is allegedly getting.

What DF was asking is how will Sony market the PS5.....will the new PSSR software upscaling be the selling point??.....the cpu is the same and integrated gpu rdna 3??? if anyone knows AMD graphics, those gpus are power hungry, so will the apu have more power draw? is the psu the same 350w? will Sony use a different heat sink/air cooler. All these questions are up in the air at this point. But, going just by hardware specs alone, I cant see the PS5 pro running 60fps on everything, RDR2 would be a good game to test the PS5 pro at launch.

I’ve noticed a certain bias with DF when it comes to PlayStation and Xbox. I mean the comparison they did with GT7 and Forza was a bit slanted to say the least, loads of comparison vids out there and GT7 just wipes the floor with Forza, GT7 is just a much better higher quality game across the board.
DF are kind of downplaying the PS5 Pro and we still don’t know everything about it but I think it’s going to be very very impressive especially since it’s emerged that old games will get huge graphical benefits with a simple patch.
Enotria the last song the reason why it’s not coming to Xbox is because of the series S it’s was to hard to optimize the game to be able to run on both series x and series S without the series S losing features. Honestly this is just fucking bs Series S is holding the series X back.

MS screwed themselves by buying studios, and not doing 3rd party deals like Sony. 3 and a half years in what do these studios have to show for themselves? Starfield and a few smaller games. You know it's bad when you have to put your games on your direct competition's platform.
Microsoft can’t do 3rd party deals like Sony, because Microsoft requires developers to put their games into Game Pass day one, which will cannibalize sales. Microsoft put themselves in this situation, and it seems like their only way out of it, is to put their games on all platforms
Shinji Mikami is my favorite individual developer and has been since the 90s. Hes started several studios and always ends up selling to bigger company. Hopefully he stops that. Evil Within was supposed to be last game he directed, but i pray he does another with new studio...best way for quick success. MANY people know him and games he created...way more great ones than anyone else except may Miamoto at Nintendo. I don't think he was happy at Bethesda...i wanted Evil Within 3...part 2 is top 3 games of the thousands upon thousands ive played, alongside Persona 5 and Bloodborne. But i think once MS got involved, he finished any obligations he had and gtfo. He wants nothing to do with MS or Gamepass games.
