Richard Simmons was the kindest and most genuine person ever. You can tell what a loss it was for everyone in their voices.
He was honestly the sweetest human being. He helped my mom lose 150lbs and he actually called her to encourage her. He was as real as it gets especially when there were no cameras around.
He helped millions of people. He's a legend. He should be sainted.
Fred's Richard Simmons' "GARY?!" drops always cracked me up. 😂
classic
"Gary where ARE YOU!?!?"

@@JoeSlopsGary!!!
Gary come in here
I met him at a hotel where I worked in college. The minute he hit the door, he was a ball of energy. I was on the phone and he came by screaming in his way "Helllllo! Hello hotel person!!!" The person I was talking to asked me as a joke if Richard Simmons was with me. Ha! He was fantastic!
The world is lesser without him. An incredible loss.
Between the clips and stories, this was a beautiful tribute to Richard. RIP
Thank you, Howard, Gary and Robin for staying in touch with Richard. He will be missed. Richard was THE BEST!!!
That was actually really sweet.
I so wanted Richard to come back to the show - heartbroken it won't happen now. He was one of a kind and his Stern show moments are just the best. RIP ❤
Howard burned that bridge years ago
They broke the mould when Richard when was born. A beautiful human & larger than life. You couldn’t help but love him. He’ll be missed 😢 But what a life ❤
Mold
Thank God
@@juliep1542 😂 Oh you’re one of those people. Good for you 👍
A kind, gentle and HILARIOUS soul that only ever worked to build people up.
❣❣❣❣❣
What a gift Richard Simmons was. Helped so many people, God bless him ❤
I’ve been a Stern fan since the 80s. Some of Richard’s visits were some of the best media I ever heard period whether tv, radio, film, or print. Seriously. I’m ashamed to admit some of the best visits were when Howard poked fun at Richard, even driving him to tears, but I’m proud to also say it was heartwarming for him to come back to the show and having Howard and Richard find a middle ground where they could be their better selves. Thanks so much to Richard for being such a great guest, friend to the show, and such a great help to so many people.
I used to listen to Stern in the eighties too. Then I grew up.
@@Littlebigbot But you're still here.
Rip to the best guest of all time
Richard was, and will always be, the greatest guest the show ever had. Always in on the joke. Always played along.
I loved Richard. His heart was full of love for all. RIP Richard
thank you for being so respectful to him.
RIP Richard Simmons. He's up there sweatin' with the angels.
What beautiful soul and a beautiful tribute to him. Thank you Howard and crew. That was touching
The best and most wonderful thing about him, was just him being himself, which isn't so easy, if you're unique but that's also what made him so lovable.
What a beautiful tribute. Thanks, Howard, Robin, and Gary.
This was a Great Dedication 2 Richard! I laughed and smiled and this warmed my heart... RIP RICHARD SIMMONS!
Richard went to school at FSU and I have seen him very low key on campus several times. Richard had class, warmth and a genuine presence. Always a Seminole and we are so proud he was part of our Unconquered Seminole Nation. RIP and thank you for being such a good person.
I just remembering that Howard and Richard singing a duet Unforgettable!!! It so friken hilarious!!! RIP Richard you will be miss!
Thanks for this. My ❤ is still broken that he's gone. I was blessed to meet him 3x and he sent me an email 3 weeks before he passed that I'll treasure forever!!
RIP Richard Simmons
I didn't realize he was on the show this much RIP.
Richard was an all-time great guest. So many hysterical appearances over the decades. RIP
IMO the best guest ever. Still held on to the cassette tapes of his visits. The ONLY TIME I heard my momma laugh when the show was playing in our home was when Richard was on - and when Howard did Ted and Joan Kennedy. Miss you Momma. Thank you Richard. Thank you Stern show.😘😘😘💚💙
RIP to a real GOAT Love you Richard
Thanks for this tribute! 💐 I couples of months before he passed, I felt the urge to send him a message of gratitude; I did so, through his website. He responded warmly. I'll treasure that tiny interaction on top of so much joy and inspiration he emanated.
Howard & Richard together was pure comedy gold. Opposites surely did attract with these two!! RIP to the greatest guest ever
he was a such an incredibly sincere soul
Best Guest Ever !!!
💯💯💯💯 No doubt! So many classic moments.
I remember one gloomy Friday playing hooky from school and listening to Stern on 92.3 KRock….Richard Simmons was the guest and Alice Cooper was the mystery guest. Great show.
Richard was awesome ❤️
RIP Richard Simmons. I remember exercising along while watching the Richard Simmons Show on TV as a kid.
Icon. Legend. Respectfully remembered as a bright spirit, forever.
Truly, there was and always will be only one, Richard Simmons.

I had the privilege of interviewing him for a book project. He was an amazing, kind, funny, lovely human being!
He had so much genuine love for everyone he met. What an incredible loss. R.I.P. Richard 🙏🏼🕊️❤
This was touching . The ending was a tear jerker
What a lovely person he was.
Of all the celebrities I've seen over my 60+ years, there are three whose passing hit me a little harder than the rest: John Ritter, Robin Williams, and Richard Simmons. RIP to all of them.
RIP Richard Simmons an unforgettable human being of the strangest and rare vintage.
Richard was one of my all-time favorite guests on the Howard Stern Show. He was always electric!
Unforgettable at the end almost got me 🥲
RIP Richard, One of the best humans.
I’ve waited for Howard’s reaction to be posted and it didn’t disappoint ♥️
"you know, you know" -Robin
Hands down the best guest of the Stern Show. Golden radio of the 90s

You will be missed. I loved the tribute
Sorry Gary for your loss too .
A genuinely good person.
I always enjoyed his segments on the show.
RIP Richard you beautiful person.
I've listened to Howard Stern all my life. I still remember 9/11 when I was listening to him before school and he said, "is this a joke?" when the first plane hit the towers and he still stayed on air.
Richard was a great guest, and his appearance on Whose line is it, was one of the best moments!! I just wonder if Richard liked Howard or Dave Letterman better..
He was so amazing. Such energy!
OMG what a lovely tribute. 😢❤
Awww Richard.
this was a nice sweet memory and moments with Richard Simmons, I remember alot of his appearances on the howard stern.
Robin was choked up😢😢😢😢
Great tribute....RIP Richard
RIP Richard. Amazing person
One of my earliest memories what when I was 4 or 5 and my mom watching the Richard Simmons Show and workouts - probably '80 or '81. Wow
Me too… my momma used to watch his infomercials 😊
Richard on the early shows was some of the funniest back and forth banter in HS show history.
I miss Richard. He was part of my life for as long as I can remember. What a beautiful tribute Mr. Stern.
richard was such a beautiful heart and soul rest in peace richard
He was pure of heart. 💜
What a legacy he left for the world.❤
What _'legacy'_ was that?
RIP Richard. Luv ya buddy.
About time, Richard was such a big part of the show. I was worried Howie wasn’t going to give him a tribute after all the drama.
I been waiting for this!....RIP Richard...such a gentle soul, caring and loving person, amazing fun guest on howard, funny memories forever!❤
Robin looks timeless. She's so pretty. RIP Richard!
i wish they would have all been reunited in studio. what a loss
Friends. How beautiful. ❤
I remember him leaving in tears from the Howard stern show
Some people made fun of Richard Simmons, but I think he really was one of the best, kindest human beings.
I loved Richard, especially on this show. Every time he was hurt, I was hurt. (I laughed, but I was hurt for him!) What a doll. May he rest well.
The laugh Richard did on-air is priceless 😂
Damn it Howard, I'm crying at my desk; both tears of laughter and sadness. Richard was one of a kind!
The best guest ever on the show. Period.
Rest in peace Richard and thanks for the memory ❤
This made me smile. Props to you Howard, you were podcasting before it had a name!
Simmons was just a really nice person. RIP
Richard was an absolute gem and a true national treasure. The things he did for people throughout his life could raise him to sainthood. Gone WAY too soon 😢
Awwww uncle Richard was the best.
RIP Richard and Angry Alice…and Captain Dennis. 😢
❤Richard was a treasure and Howard and the gang knew it. Thank you for all the years of Richard.❤
Richard Simmons all time classic Stern show guest.
Aside from HS appearances, the funniest thing was seeing Richard in the Bridgestone Tire commercial during the Super Bowl
One of the greatest humans! ❤
My favorite was when they called Walter Hudson on air. 1 800 BIG FATS 😂😂
Absolute Gem!
Did his own thing and did it well. Rest easy.
Rip to Richard! A gem
For a great laugh and to see how much of a sport and character Richard was, just watch the WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY? with Richard as a special guest. BRILLIANT!!!
