The hug at the end is a metaphor for forgiveness and the reason it is weird is due to our inability to forgive. That’s how I see it, but this is art so it is meant to be interpreted in multiple ways.
They’re right though. The white man in the video is an unapologetic white supremacist. The black man is a civil rights activist angry at an oppressive system. You can’t compromise with a white supremacist. 1861 proved that.
Dani Garcia it’s that neither side is completely right or wrong, you aren’t supposed to chose a side and just see that we should all come together as one

The hug isn't let's hug it out it symbolizes that they are both men who can discuss the root issues or the real issues that people face and in the end they can act like men and hug it out.
No good sir, the hug actually symbolizes the illuminati. Get this... 2+2 is 4-1 thats 3...quick maths you could say but what happens if you took the 3 and multiplied it by 1, the answer would be 3 meaning that the hug symbolizes ground beef (MIND BLOWN)
I'm not saying these kids are idiots but I don't think half of them understanding the video, the two kids were like "This isn't what America needs right now, the video is about two different sides of two different cultures, the point of the video is about a misunderstanding, I feel people misunderstand the video like people misunderstand different cultures and backgrounds.

Here's the problem. As soon as the brother started his verse they were imidiatly on his side like "yes yes exactly". The point went whoosh over they heads.
TotallyTaco I doubt it, they were all picking sides, genuinely pissed, or were in a state of shock. They were too busy picking sides then actually analysing the video.
tannercollins9863 I think they meant that it’s surprising that it’s gotten to this point, where a white person is actively approving of someone generalising and insulting their race. It’s more sad than unbelievable at this point, since it’s been this way for a while now
The point of the song was to tell both sides of the story to show that it is only misunderstandings that divide us. And they hug in the end because they learn eachothers history and there are truths in both parts of the song that both of them understand now so they gain respect for eachother and have sympathy for eachother
the problem i have with fbe comments section is that it's difficult to have a conversation. everyone is like "react to this" "react to that" so it's difficult to find serious discussions

I swear these kids miss the whole point this exactly what America needs the need to have this conversation and sit down and talk about the differences between these two cultures.
I understand your point but shouldn’t we be focusing on the similarities between us to bring us closer, and recognise the differences and be ok with that. Not the differences and say they’re bad, to separate us?
Yes but there are way more then two cultures you have Mexicans Latinos Japanese and way more people who get treated different but the only side America is on white
6:10 CEO of missing the point of the video. You shouldn’t feel “represented” the point is to show the disparity and lack of understanding between the black and white cultures.
I listened to this in middle school Now I’m graduated and I understood this song and the point of it The problem is that these kids only wanted to hear one side of it The message this song was trying to send went wayyyy over their head Didn’t even try to understand it
Tomas Roque the whole point of the song is that neither side is wrong, but both right. Sadly. Their point of views are completely different but in their perspective they are right.

I don’t mean to start anything but the dude that said he got pulled over for race looks white as hell if I was a cop I would think it was like a 16 year old white guy
A lot of you are criticizing the kids for “not getting it” and picking a size, but frankly, it seems fitting because here you have a bunch of people who agree wholeheartedly with that second verse. If you had atrump supporters react they’d be just as biased in favor of the guy singing the first verse.
But, like, if this video was meant to show both sides of the story, didn't it kinda fail? They all got so mad about what the first guy was saying, and then praised everything the other guy was saying.. I respect he intention with the video, but I don't think people got the clear meaning behind it..
These kids don’t get it. Embarrassing. In fact, most people don’t get. People always have something to say but never want to listen. Everyone always thinks that they are right, when in reality we all know so little. We need to search for real truth, not just believe what the government or society or our community tell us.
The white mans perspective is nothing but attacking the black dude/black culture, the black dude is mostly telling his story and defending himself from what the white dude said. The sides aren’t the same.
@@th3re4l1ne9 everyone has opinions and has the ability to feel empathy, you can understand how awful things are right now and how important it is that things need to change without having had trauma beaten into you
@@genderlesstoast6633 That wasnt the point he made. Most people in California typically have strong left beleifs, their is something called a hive mind. In this case, large populations (california being the most dense) share the general same belief. These kids in this video are all 1 sides, and dont hear out the truth from that was in the white guys words, meaning they never saw his perspective. I'm not saying everything he said was right, just every side has valid points to it.
This is just an entire video about them showing each what they were fed while they were growing up and these kids just had it fly way over their heads.
Jisoo's Bish OvO I see it as how we need to stop picking sides. Even tho it seems like one side is completely in the wrong we all are in the wrong, since we’re all human. And we need to put the differences aside and come to an agreement without always putting race in the picture. And from the reaction you can see people only listen to what they wanna hear. If we wanna solve it we need to understand everyone’s point of view. We need to stop focusing so hard on our paintings and realize there is a bigger one infront of us we need to work together to complete.
I love all the guilty white kids who are like yeah you tell em man when they really have no clue what either is talking about because they both have valid points.
Hey there just saying their opinion they on the black side and not on the white side like the black man in the video he on his own side and he sayin his opinion
No way that kid is saying " Hug it out are you kidding me" Noooo are YOU kidding me for saying that......it is a positive thing that they are hugging it out

@@reid.ellzey4392 You gain intelligence by being educated.

Yes, I think that most people think, that the story of the second guy was just an answer to the first guy.

Nah it didnt fail
These kids don’t get it. Embarrassing. In fact, most people don’t get. People always have something to say but never want to listen. Everyone always thinks that they are right, when in reality we all know so little. We need to search for real truth, not just believe what the government or society or our community tell us.
The white mans perspective is nothing but attacking the black dude/black culture, the black dude is mostly telling his story and defending himself from what the white dude said. The sides aren’t the same.
