These are combination pliers, not lineman’s pliers. Also a small amount of oil is a good thing as it protects the tool, lubricates it and prevents rust from forming. You could always wipe it off with a tissue paper/napkin.
@@appliancealliance4444 good to know. That being said i meant that these are called combination pliers by Knipex. Their lineman’s do not have that gap between the jaws.
@@appliancealliance4444 It’s probably just to help differentiate there are different variations of similar items. I’m sure if you were to ask them they would tell you that the combination pliers are also lineman’s pliers
