I thought I'd never buy a prius, let alone ride in one. But I absolutely love my 2016, 65 mpg doing 80 mph on the highway and the most comfortable car I've ever driven. I drove it from Colorado to Prudhoe Bay and all the way across Canada to Newfoundland and back to Colorado for less than $750 bucks in gas, amazing!
I randomly decided to watch some goodwood runs. I had no idea that i would see the beast of turin doing a run. thats is a magnificent machine to watch.
Watching the priceless historic cars at Goodwood is a very significant and once-in-a-lifetime experience. However, understandably and unfortunately you will never see them doing what they were made to do - properly go like a bat out of hell in a race. It's a bit of a pity to see them go slowly and carefully.
Alot of them do get driven hard and fast. You have to keep in mind that alot of these cars were never designed to go fast around a track, rather just go blistering quick in a straight line.
"All right, everybody. Let's settle down and get started. Now, first item...we've got to increase interest in our videos. What do people like the least about watching car videos?" "The engine sounds. Definitely the engine sounds. I can't tell you how many people write to say how sick they are of actually hearing the cars." "Great! Easily sorted. We'll just play some music. Let's start with this vid about pre-war cars." "Should it be music from before the war, or exciting soundtrack stuff, or anything that in any way relates to the video?" "No, no. I want it to sound like a 1970s beer commercial." "I've got just the thing, boss."
The Fiat S76 has failed it's emissions test!. One admires these men for taking what must be very valuable rare museum exhibits and thrashing them up that hill as nature intended them to be. Hats off and salutations to them all !!!!.
love the video...But whats the bloomin' music for!!! LOL.....its weird....Cars and commentary would be just fine...not the end of the world I know....thanks for the video...
Five years on from this and it seems the contributor has long since listened to their YT audience and removed the porn film soundtrack from their videos! Nice... Thankyou Goodwood.
Lot's commenting about the crazy musak rubbish and i'm wondering if the uploader has purposely added it for some reason because televised events at Goodwod don''t have that crap on.
I agree no need for the supermarket tunes
Kill the background music please!
Yes ,what dreadful musack
1978ajax could not agree more, why oh why oh why do they do it......it DRIVES ME MAD
YYYEEEESSSSSSS!!!!!1 Turn that stupid shite off
And stop talking all the time...
@@rogerkent7577 , any. There was engine sound in the air.
Sensory overload from these astonishing vehicles .
Huge credit to owners/engineering geniuses for allowing us to still marvel at them
You don’t need music,we want to hear the cars.please.
I want to drive the Fiat Fiat S76 to a Toyota Prius club meet.
hahahaha. You're funny....not.
I would totally join you in a napier-railton.
@@Heinz1zwei found the prius owner

750 dollars bucks

Good apart from the strip-club soundtrack!
That is now my favorite FIAT.
Exhurst manifolds are overrated.
The (horrible) background music is just ruining everything
Agree!
Agree! x2
171 MPH in that Babs car. Could've probably done 200 if the driver's solid steel balls weren't weighing him down
or if it hadn't overturned and killed him. Parry Thomas- great engineer.
The pre war cars were awesome. They looked nice and some performed mentally.
I would imagine anyone watching this is an enthusiast, I understand the commentary, but why the muzak ? WE WANT TO HEAR THE CARS
The flames and heat haze coming from the S76 is ridiculous.
James Konsti thermal efficiency of 1% :D
5:05 I love that Fiat. Madness in physical form.
and totally ruined with cheesy jazz... I want to hear the cars - that's 50% of the experience wiped out by someone who doesn't give a fig.
Stop the music I wanna hear the engines!
who would think a cheesy soundtrack is a good idea?¨
I'd rather just listen to the cars than people talking over them, I'm afraid.

The Railton is not a V12. It is a Napier Lion W12. 3 rows of 4 cylinders in a broad arrow configuration.
Still just as crazy

check out the 1905 200hp darraq, race round this track, its featured on this very channel, it absolutely screams around ,getting sideways!!!!

Great cars, great engines, recalling of heroic drivers. Even the color comment is worthwhile.
But the screeching "music" is insulting.
Close your eyes and the music makes you think you're watching Shaft! :D
STOP THE MUSIC
It’s not golf we don’t need the music commentary
which war?
I didn't even notice the music, I was just laughing at that S76 commentary
Amazing cars..loved it!
The drivers of those vehicles back in the day had balls, the size of Jupiter. 😳
that auto union car is something else...
I would spent all my savings to drive the Fiat S76 at Goodwood
3000 views only? This video totally deserves more!
28 liter four cylinder! Just think about that for a second.
Fiat S76: motorised boar. Look it's shape face on and from the side XD.
Music, the curse of You Tube
The fiat s76 has the exhaust pipes missing.
That fiat 76 is amazing
The Fiat S74 kinda reminds me of a shorter version of the legendary Mefistofele
How can you amateurs put diskusting musik on this movie???????
I must go to Goodwood.
DEVILISHLY HANDSOME BEASTIE
love the video...But whats the bloomin' music for!!! LOL.....its weird....Cars and commentary would be just fine...not the end of the world I know....thanks for the video...
Ditch the tunes - the engines are the music
Those cars are just impessive!
The Silver Arrows at the beginning is like a spaceship compared to the cars that followed.
Love the Fiat S76!
The Napier Railton is not a V12, It’s a W12!
bonjour super video
Not sure if the Jazz-Groove stylings of Mrs. Mills on the organ is necessary?
I bet you that Type D can rival any Floyd concert with the amount of noise it produces
I want to drive the Fiat at an Earth Day event!
HAHAHAHA
Are those haystacks at the corner of the track? And a flaming exhaust is passing by...Good show nevertheless.
Wonderful cars
The first car has a dangerous driving position.
Nick Mason does NOT look comfortable driving the Auto Union.
And he's no mug behind the wheel!.
Driving these cars in a Shirt and some Jeans, just like back then, when there was almost no safety
what is pre-war?
Man, it was green in 2015! 2018 looked brown and dead.
Wasn't Parry Thomas beheaded by a broken drive chain on Babs? V12 Liberty aero engine, 27 litre I believe.
I cant watch because of the music.
Again please with no music thanks
Is the "babs" chain driven?
28 liter 4 cyl. Insane.
5:09 did the passenger get any 3rd degree burns🔥lol
That S76... Fuck emissions, i want one!
Damn it sucks that 100 years from now our modern cars probably wont even last half as long as these
Five years on from this and it seems the contributor has long since listened to their YT audience and removed the porn film soundtrack from their videos! Nice... Thankyou Goodwood.
The audio isn't balanced right, a time the cars and music really overpower the voices of the hosts.
Crazy how much +camber there is on the cars. I wonder how much they understood basic suspension-wheel compression/positioning and camber effects.
+LxC that camber on the front wheels made the steering lighter because of no powersteering in that era
Most race cars don't have power steering.
Exquisite 👍🇬🇧
Loose the music
Lot's commenting about the crazy musak rubbish and i'm wondering if the uploader has purposely added it for some reason because televised events at Goodwod don''t have that crap on.
oh what i would give to drive one of those
The commentary is rather boring. I'd rather heard the cars do the talking...
I recognize 42 from chitty chitty bang bang
Why the crap background music
For pity's sake, get rid of that music (sic)
what is with the elevator music?
IM STUCK IN AN ELEVATOR!!!!!!!
back then when fiat was cool and eco friendly
"eco friendy". Lmao 😄
Great game 🚙🚙
These giant old engines didnt have much RPMs but GOD! The torque!!!
4:48 The lovely smell of beaver???
Track day, Chap!
In 100 years we will look back on the civic type R, Evo, RS4, etc and think how far we came since then. Street cars of racing pedigree.
The country is addicted to "music" 24/7,24/7,24/724/7,24/7,24/7,24/72,24/7,24/7,24,7.
Please the commentator let the cars speak for themselves?
ahhhhh music no no no no no ahhhhhhhhhhhhh
Without a safety bar there’s no need for helmets anyway cause if you roll it your dead, you’ll get crushed, but cool
28 litres and a hand crank to start it
get rid of the horrid music
Babs killed its owner. chain snaped and beheaded him while doing a land speed record
Fun !!!!!😊
Why make a video like this and then ruin it with music.
Blimey!
3:49, 24 meter v12? what? lol
Yes yes yes 👌
i like british engg. cars
I have to wonder why all these guys wear helmets. It won't make a difference :/
Captain Slow GT86 I was joking that they're so dangerous the'll die whether they're wearing a helmet or not so might as well make it quick.
get the music out of here! what where yall thinking?
