They were simply beaten by a better team. Why is everyone so surprised ? Its good that we now have teams that can bet the Bok's and All Blacks. This comes from a All Black fan. Gone are the days were we just turned up. I think its great for the game.

      @@stevenbissett I'm Argie and it's a mix bag.
We do care about Rugby, because it's a popular sport in the Provinces and with Private Schools.
Same happens with girls and Field Hockey where we are a Power House.
At the same time, we still are AMATEUR in Rugby, but we are turning Pro everyday more to maybe a point of no return, that would more than probably end making us better.
Also just think that in the past, even being absolutely amateur, we had players of the caliber of Porta, Pichot, Juan Martin Hernandez, so the talent Pool seems will always be there, in some way it's an equivalent of NZ, Australia or South Afrika being amateur in Soccer/Football while producing constantly since ages Pro Elite players, so we always had that to compete even with the lack or regular competitions and not having a Pro preparation.

@laureanoalfaro9351 In my opinion, the main factor in the rise of success of lesser nations is the exportation of Kiwi coaching talent. Even South Africa has employed a Kiwi (Tony Brown) to teach their back line how to play. I would like to see eligibility criteria apply to coaches as well as players. That would see a lot of teams put back in their box. Starting with Ireland.

This was the most vague and pointless speech I have heard from a 'coach' after a game. Not a single actual aspect of the game was mentioned. Phrases like: 'the quality of our skillset' 'the execution of our goals' the 'components of the game, our synergy' and 'learnings' mean absolutely nothing. If that's how they talk to the players, when the realities of a game consist: of tactics at the breakdown, tactics at lineouts, tactics in backline passing and positioning, tactics getting out of your own half, tactics when kicking, etc, etc, then no wonder the players look lost. The man sounded like a management manual, not a sports coach.

We built a reputation through wordless deeds and action, now we’ve become the biggest talkers in the rugby world, got more in touch with our feelings and identity, grown those learnings like a garden full of weeds. These players have shone at all the preceding levels, so they’re unlikely to be lacking ability. And yet as the All Blacks they look a poorer team every time the list of buzzwords gets a new addition. There’s a lot of energy going into marketing the idea there’s a lot of thinking involved (“process”, “review”, “core roles”, “Skills going forward”, “identifying opportunities to respond”, “Themes”). On the field they simply look a poor team, either lacking an understanding of how they will play as a unit, or being uncomfortable doing so.

    - Kick-off receptions/Exiting the 22
    - Kicking game in no-mans land. Making kicks contestable.
    - Tries vs penalties: kicking to the corner instead of points.
    - Ruthless mentality vs Offering too much respect

I've heard alot about "learnings". When are you going to translate the learnings into the actual game? Are you focusing on the lack of mental strength and composure? It stands out like dogs balls. We have the talent, but not the belief. Install belief and composure and you'll see us start to turn back to the days of old. My 2 cence.

NZ team talk: Our skillset & execution, looking inward blah blah.
Springboks: Let's go Fk them up.

Doesn’t Argentina have a new coaching staff this year? They haven’t gone backwards, in fact they have progress even more. This All Black team has gone backwards. Where’s the toughness, wheres the Mana. I can’t watch this All Black at the moment.

To be honest the level of expectations from NZ is pretty toxic when it comes to the All Blacks. Like the boys start performing on the level of every other international team a few games and they get scrutinised like be realistic, even champions have to lose every now and then that’s how growth is actually made

Synergy Schminergy….. let the boys play!! If they were anymore synergised they’d be Siamese 🤦🏽‍♂️
Complicating a simple game which even the new rules favour us from a speed standpoint. Enough lovey dovey fluffy care talk. We lookin lost. Make the obvious player changes and let’s play with flare pace and purpose

NZ need some raw mongrol back in the forward pack. Dominant up front and let the talent out wide unleash.

Can we get the Sevu Reece that roves the field looking for the ball. The Ab Reece is the total opposite from this seasons Crusaders version...

Ok. Theres the problem... Players don't like patronizing coaches.

Mils got it right on The Breakdown Rugby Show. Apart from that, too much un-qualified hype-up and fan-fare usually has a leveller; and this is it. 'It' will not be the last time 'it' happens.
