The Inside of a Traffic Signal Controller Cabinet

- A quick video I took inside a traffic signal controller cabinet. I was doing some troubleshooting on one of the Wavetronix detection units but one of the side streets wouldn't place a call. The programming was fine in the computer but the actual card wouldn't close the contact to place the call. I swapped the positions of the cards and then the other side worked so looks like I'll need a replacement card!
Great video cool to see the inside of the control box 😁
Really cool to see!
Nice setup! Where would I be able to get a back panel for the load switches relatively cheap?
Are you looking for a TS1 or TS2 backpanel?
I’m currently looking to run a ts1 setup. Capable of running a standard 8 phase with FYA overlaps
@@train1596 okay I will see what I can find for you
Thank you. I appreciate it
Interesting:)
I spy Powered by Linux sticker.
Yahs
I have a ts2-1 McCain timer...was in a knockdown cabinet I ended up with. Need a training class on it to use it, not strong on these. Do a video on basic setup?
This one was a city controller and unfortunately I'm not in that division anymore! I have some other controllers at home that I could use but not McCain unfortunately!
@@TheTrafficTech did you buy some old traffic Signal 8" peds w glass lens from me?
@@chrisbell1687 I think I did actually! The worded ones?
@@TheTrafficTech yep. I think you said one broke. I have a ton of that stuff.
@@chrisbell1687 YES the don't walk lens had broken! But I had another!
This needs to be simplified and better....
What would you suggest? This also has to have failsafes for liability reasons which is why it’s so complex. Also being able to reprogram controllers, replacing standard parts and being generally pretty vandal proof is ideal.
