A song so good it slays in the hands of any masters. A song so good that it starts pub dart solos. A song that settles hearts and raises voices in downtown traffic. Rock solid, Rock on, Rock strong... TY JM
Stop me if you think you've heard this one before! Exactly, i stopped it at 0.54 because yes i've heard it before, and it was much better then. Morrissey is obviously the best.
These two are the major driving forces behind two of the worlds biggest bands and aren't even in the same league as morrissey and marr The smiths really were that good
Two of my favourites musicians covering to one of my favorites bands, I quite like it. Of course Morrissey sings this so much better but these two together sound great.
I really don't know why yall complaining, of course the guy isn't Johnny Marr or that chris isn't Morrissey, this song was meant to be a tribute and to me it sounded like a great tribute and they are having fun paying respect to a very influential band
Don't criticize Christ Martin singing this awesome Smiths' song. This is Chris Martin you're talking about. He's genius in his own right... lyrically and vocally. Morrissey will forever be Morrissey and The Smiths will always be one of the greatest bands of all time.
Everyone missed the beauty to this video it wouldn't have been right if it was all perfect but people with good ears can hear the oasis and coldplay sound mixed together even with Noel fucking up the chords if you listen closely u can still hear that trademark "wonderwall oasis " sound.
as a fan of all 3 of those bands (Coldplay, Oasis, The Smiths), i'm pretty confused how to feel. sure, Chris' voice can't be compared to Morrissey's, and the arrangement is so bland compared to the original song. still, i think they've done a pretty good job
@@TheScrimbliestBingus had to doublecheck the year to make sure viva la Vida wasn’t included in this lol - but yeah their albums after VLV and before EL weren’t very good at all, I think EL is hopefully a return to a more fresh, experimental sound, even though it definitely doesn’t beat any of their pre-mylo xyoto stuff
I heard the first ten seconds of this I crashed down on the keyboard And the pain was enough to make a shy, bald Buddhist KILL FREAKING OASIS AND COLDPLAY I SWEAR
come on guys, go easy on 'em... they (& the audience) had a great time and it was more like a jovial sing-along. It was a tribute, not an insult. The performance put a smile on my face lol
Noel, Johnny and Chris bring their own unique talent to this song, bringing it new life. As a Smiths fan since they began, I adore this, especially the sheer joy Chris radiates, causing both guitarists to smile widely. If his happiness is not already clearly evident, look out for the moment Chris is seen to sway his hips with such passion and ecstasy he nearly causes his pants to fall down. At that instance, I was reminded of Dave Gahan, and think I'll always see Coldplay in a new light now.
oasis and coldplay singing the smiths. the only thing stoppin this from bein my dream come true is john lennon added to the picture but il settle for this!
Coldplay should release an actual cover of this song, like a more concrete one with the missing instruments Imo this cover was pretty good, they could do better ofc
sorry. i don't like oasis but i do love coldplay and i LOVE THE SMITHS way more than anything. this cover sux sh*t bone dry! i am sooooo dissappointed but i think it's more noels fault than anybody elses...if he was alone i'd say...where's the bomber!
We all sound better in the bathroom, I dunno, professional or no, I always figured singing life in an open space is very different to singing in a studio, or a hall :L
I've listened to A LOT of music from the 90s, and all of the albums ever made by all the bands you listed, and I still stand by my opinion. You do realise it's possible for people to hold a different viewpoint to yourself, or has that not get dawned upon you?
This is bloody amazing 3 of my favourite bands combined and I love this song!!!
People don't understand that covers are made as tribute, not to replace the original.
Pro trick: you can watch series at InstaFlixxer. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies recently.
@Kamden Imran yea, been using instaflixxer for years myself :)
this is a live cover. if it was a studio recording you could criticize it but this is off the cuff.
Nice live performance of a classic
A song so good it slays in the hands of any masters.

Rock solid, Rock on, Rock strong... TY JM
Chris + Noel + Jonny Such a good healthy energy throughout! I love it.
masters at work!
noel + chris+johnny=music!!
love the smiths
Love this... it's recently become my favourite Smiths song. and seeing rock stars playing it as well as I can is refreshing
Chris Martin is so happy and he can;t hide it ! I love this video
I can imagine morrissey say
Thanks. The feelings not reciprocated.
This collaboration is Damn cool. Sometimes I see covers and they make me smile from my Soul. This video is one of them. Thank you for sharing it. 🕶🤙🏽
Stop me if you think you've heard this one before! Exactly, i stopped it at 0.54 because yes i've heard it before, and it was much better then. Morrissey is obviously the best.
I almost cried with this cuteness
These two are the major driving forces behind two of the worlds biggest bands and aren't even in the same league as morrissey and marr
The smiths really were that good
Very well put
In all fairness you're comparing the two people who wrote the song and recorded it to two people who "rehearsed for less than a minute"
@@Harpdashian either way it was useless ,i honestly expected better
Funny Jonny Marr thinks Noel G is pretty gd🤭
Factz
Wow Chris sounds so good on this song! Beautiful

One of the best covers I ever seen.
Not heard?
You really should get out more if that's the case. This is execrable.
I really wanna see them together one more time
One of my favourite songs with two of my favourite bands O.O How much luckier can I get?!
Only one Johnny Marr....
How can they be so awesome?! Deamn it, I love them..
STOP THEM, OH HO HO STOP THEM D:
Amazing cover
dude! noel gallagher and christ martin singing a smiths song! This is awesome! :D
Don't criticize Christ Martin singing this awesome Smiths' song. This is Chris Martin you're talking about. He's genius in his own right... lyrically and vocally. Morrissey will forever be Morrissey and The Smiths will always be one of the greatest bands of all time.
That was better than it should've been
After The Beatles , The Smiths.
Everyone missed the beauty to this video it wouldn't have been right if it was all perfect but people with good ears can hear the oasis and coldplay sound mixed together even with Noel fucking up the chords if you listen closely u can still hear that trademark "wonderwall oasis " sound.
Noel with the bed wetters
Never seen this one and in LOVE!
The Smiths é a melhor banda dos anos 80
*ever
That's a a huge call my friend, considering how many truly great bands I remember from the 80's.
This is perfect. Chris Martin's voice is amazing.
And still part of one of the greatest bands of all time.
awesome, great tribute
THE SMITHS :3
as a fan of all 3 of those bands (Coldplay, Oasis, The Smiths), i'm pretty confused how to feel. sure, Chris' voice can't be compared to Morrissey's, and the arrangement is so bland compared to the original song. still, i think they've done a pretty good job
Gita Andani everythings bland compared to the smiths
@@callumsmith7464 they had a minute to go over it.
This is better than 90% of anything chris has done in the past 6 years
@@TheScrimbliestBingus ding dong your opinion is wrong

An imperfect homage to The Smiths.
Gallagher and Martin realise they are unworthy to untie the sandals of
Marr and Morrissey.
The Smiths pra sempre ❤️
lol! "We shoulda done We Are The World." floored!
Chris Martin & Noel Gallagher!... ♥ the perfect combination!
I was glued to my seat otherwise I would have got up and left
Ah, someone else remembers Dennis Pennis eh? "Not even a household name in his own house" etc etc.
ha,ha,ha - classic thanks for that!
This is how I found The Smiths. Awesome!
We find the smiths in weird and wonderful ways, almost like they find us 😁
Nice cover. Although, I prefer the original song. Nothing can beat Morrissey's voice and Marr's guitar.
Love💜
@BoysLikeMeee Hardly a lyrical genius. Excellent melodist, knows how to appeal to common tastes.
Great. Thanks for posting. x
Call it morbid...call me pale..
i wish coldplay covered this song and put it on their next LP
I actually don't really like Oasis or Coldplay (much prefer the Beatles and Radiohead) but I LOVE Moz so these guys are cool in my book. Great job
Best song of Coldplay (ironic)
I heard the first ten seconds of this
I crashed down on the keyboard

Saskia Kiernan Calm down love
kill coldplay, oasis r ok
Legend s together not many around people 😮
2:38 "Don't hide" LOL :P
Love this!
When Coldplay made real fucking music
what do you expect from a Zuckerberg look-a-like ?
can't stop
Good cover. Chris has a nice voice.
Nothing has changed ❤ I still live you
Only slightly less than I used too
Stop me if you think I 'M GOING TO KILL THEM.....(8)

The only song by Oasis and Coldplay I genuinely like. There it is.
ppl shitting on Chris Martin's voice here, I think it sounds great
Gotta love this :D
I enjoy this.
@WhatIf42 The chord they're supposed to play. One of the guitarists played the wrong chord, which should have been a "B" chord.
Where's the life in the song? Fuck me that fell flat.
Let's see, take out all the anguish, put in half the effort and rely on the audience applauding because, well, they're Coldplay fans.
Epic!
Somebody should have stopped them!!!!
totally agreed
I've heard this one before. For the love of God, just stop.
Noel and Chris together !!
perfect ! :D
Rough start, but looking past that they did okay.
oasis and coldplay singing the smiths. the only thing stoppin this from bein my dream come true is john lennon added to the picture but il settle for this!
Manchester is Red.
Chris:"B!"...rsrs
nothing is perfect! ;)
but I love this guys!!! (Coldplay and Oasis)
I love it
whos the third guy'?
Chris martins voice is incredible

Anyone knows what Noel says at the beginning?
Someone stop him, please!!!

I haven't heard this joke before, but I would still like them to stop.
@WhatIf42 yeah noel was a little off from the sound of it...
They are prof musicians though. His voice sounds well thin. I sound better than that in the bathroom:-)
bloody Ameaturers
professional musicians...I've shit em
no better than any budding guitarist
