Hi: I just wanted to know if your statue is resin or what material. I want to repaint Mary's statue that is resin and need to make it waterproof. What paints do you suggest?
This statue was plaster. Resin is a plastic so the best paint to use would be acrylic. I used Liquitex Professional Heavy Body Acrylic and Golden Professional Acrylics to paint this statue. Be careful with lower grade acrylic paints. They have a higher concentration of binding agents than pigment, which makes coverage more difficult and colors more dull. When you are done painting, I would seal the statue with a spray varnish that has UV protection. If you plan on leaving the statue outside just be careful if weather turns to freezing temperatures. Freezing temperatures can damage the varnish or crack the resin statue.

Color of the flesh what did u use
It is a mixture of Liquitex Heavy Body Titanium White, Cadmium Red Medium, Yellow Ochre, and Ultramarine Blue.
