    Let's just take a moment to thank daniella for letting us come along and watch. I always respect when females show this footage for all to see because we all know how hard it can be for us to struggle with what our skin is going through and then to show everyone for informational purposes isn't something that would come easily to anyone. Thank you for sharing!

    Hello! I’ve recently found your channel and I’ve been obsessed ever since. I have a question for you: I experience similar skin issues Daniella including the cystic acne, pitting, scarring, etc. and I’ve been prescribed several antibiotics and topicals over the course of several years and nothing has seemed to work long term. My dermatologist just told me that if my current prescriptions are not successful, then my last option is accutane. Knowing the details of accutane, I’m very skeptical of going through with it. My question is, what are your thoughts on accutane? I’m wondering if it’s better to just take it or see an esthetician instead of a dermatologist. Thank you in advance!

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  5 років тому

      It is rare I say yes to accutane, just because there is so much that can be done before that big move. I have agreed on the odd occasion when all other treatments have been exhausted. Can you send me pics to educateyourskin@gmail.com. Please mention in that email you are from my UA-cam.... Accutane yes or NO in the heading:)) thank you Alisa

    Nerida I’m using an eye cream with retinol in it. Do you think it’s ok use it on the top eyelid? I noticed I don’t think you ever put your eye gel on the lid or brow bone area? Is there a reason for that? I’ve always used a regular moisturizing eye cream/gel around my whole eye area as I don’t feel complete unless I’ve moisturized my whole face, neck and eye area. I have had no irritation so far doing this and have been using the retinol eye cream for a couple of weeks now. Thank as always for your help. -Dee

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  4 роки тому +3

      I don't recommend starting out in chemical peels until you learn more bout skin analysis. It's a final stage not a stage to start out with. You have to learn to prepare and treat the skin. By starting out specializing in peels, you are not going to get the BEST results. I can understand you want to go there.... but, you must learn to walk before you run if you care about your work and our place in the business. If you start out working with a doctor, then that may be best for you:)) Good luck to you xo

    I am confused , was looking up info on lactic acid peels and everywhere i have read says Lactic is the mildest type of peel where it doesnt really burn nor actually peel at all. Glycolic and TCA it says are the deeper ones that actually peel . But this lady says Lactic acid peel frosts and peels . Are we sure this is a lactic acid peel . Looks like this client needs a TCA peel not a lactic one from what i read.

    • @NeridaJoySkincare

      Sometimes, if the client would like me too.....depends, some prefer you not say too much as they know you know what you are doing and they also know that you will be doing the very best type of treatment for their skin.
      If i was having a facial treatment with someone, and i did not feel too confident I would want the Estie to tell me what they are doing (steps) and the products they are using....the why? question for sure:))

      frosting means the skin is saturated. Usually you would stop at that point....but frosting doesn't happen evenly on the skin..... for deeper peels I sometimes do a little more...but I always also use the pre peel first before the peel. It is a custom decision with your cleint treatment at that one time that you have to make:)

    Hi Nerida, I read somewhere in the comments on another video something about dry surface skin causing large pores and congestion underneath. I think this may be the issue with my skin. Can you elaborate on this and what a good treatment is? Thank you!

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 років тому +1

      Change your cleanser to non-foaming.....get off whatever is making you skins surface dry. A dry surface does not allow oil to get out so it builds up within the pores and stretches the pore size, causing congestion underneath because oil, bacteria and dead cells builds up in the pores.

      Apply 2 coats of pre-peel if you are concerned to start with...the rest is all up to you by the number of applications. If you are concerned about it being to strong, you probably should not be doing it in the first place. You have to keep an eye on your application and coats, so its really up to you, as you have full control.

    Hey Nerida,
    I have pretty clear skin, but I consistently get black heads and small pimples around my chin and a little onto my jawline. They usually aren't bad, but I get them often. The blackheads won't stay away, even if they are extracted, and I want to be done with them for good. Do you have any suggestions or product reccomendations?

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 років тому +2

      Wherever there is oil, blackheads will be there. 85% of the population has blackheads even if it's just a few. The only way to keep them at their smallest is by good regular cleansing x2 in the PM using a warm wet washcloth at night to remove the first cleanse and rinsing the second cleanse off with luke warm water. Next, exfoliation..... Are you really good about these two tasks and is your skin oily underneath and dry on the surface? Are you using a non-foaming cleanser? where do you live? Get back to me with your answers and we will go from there:))

    • @usaonthemoon
      @usaonthemoon 6 років тому +2

      Nerida Joy I don't always use an oil cleanser and then another after, I usually use a gel cleanser or a lightly exfoliating cleanser (one in the morning, the other at night), and rinse with warm water. I don't feel like I have oily, surface dry skin. I feel like I have a normal (with maybe a little dryness) type. I live in the Midwest US. The climate is at a high altitude with very dry air.

    • @NeridaJoySkincare
      @NeridaJoySkincare  6 років тому +2

      Try using the wash cloth in the PM to remove your first cleanse, rinse the second. The amount of blackheads and pore size is often reflected on the cleansing and exfoliation routine. Just try to do a better job particularly at night and see what happens.....:))
