This video is packed full of good tips, like a dragon giving a tour of its hoard. The energy level is genuine and infectious. I hope you can show the mechanical process of "create starting area" in a video of similar length. 👍
That was good basic advice, especially the point players dont care about far awayland or the detailed history. Don't fret the small stuff, start rolling dice
@mykediemart Thanks. I know sometimes people fall in love with their own settings but unless it's relevant to what is going on in the game it doesn't matter.
my campaign started with knowing just what the basic setting is, what the bbeg may be [which can change] and then where to start, i usually start them off in the midst of conflict or stuck in a cell, or trapped in a camp or maybe walking a lonely road and something comes flying out of the forest in front of them to entice them to investigate. From there i build on the campaign as we go. things will change and people may come and go but thats the fun of it.
The "sweet spot" of
B/X. 👍
@@freddaniel5099 It's the perfect mix of simplicity and crunch.
Great video and advice. Sometimes less is more. Don't over do it. Do just enough to get the ball rolling and see where things take you.
@@Pantherrrr That's it! The objective is to sit down and start playing. Everything else can he done along the way.

@@swordsnstones Starting with a bang is a good way to go. You really just need a general idea and fill in the blanks as you go.
I offer Roblox and Raid Shadow Legends as tribute to the algorithm
