After 20 seconds or so TIG welding aluminum my machine shows a red hold sign and arc stops. After a few seconds I can restart. There is no way it's getting too hot, because this happens right from the start. I've been reading the owners manual, but I figured I'd ask here too.
can i use my bobcat 250 like a power supply ?
is there pulse wile in ac mode for aluminum
Hi Anthony, when welding in AC tig mode with the Multimatic 220, it does not have pulse but you do have frequency control and balance control. The Multimatic 220 does have pulse capabilities in DC tig. Thank you.
I'm sure it's more than capable of doing AC GTAW-P, but if Miller allowed that they wouldn't be able to sell you another Welder, or an upgrade down the Road. Planned obsolescence! 🖕🏻
