Well, firstly you need to have a genuine love of nature and the outdoors for it to even begin to make sense. And assuming that box is checked.. when you learn outdoor skills, like navigation and survival skills, and then use those to plan a trip and get where you’re going successfully, it can be incredibly fulfilling, and the time spent in the outdoors that you love was great. And if you haven’t been exposed to, or experienced one of the horror stories first hand, the enjoyment and fulfillment is just what remains with you 🤷♂️ and then you want to do it again. And even the people that are aware how badly things can go tell themselves that those stories are rare, which they are on the whole, and ‘It’s not gonna happen to me if I just stay smart and stick to what I know.’ But unfortunately, sometimes it still does. But that’s just regular trail stuff, like moderate temperature and weather conditions. The people who climb mountains in ridiculous weather and freezing temperatures, where things can go badly wrong really easily.. those are something different. Similar but with an adrenaline junky, crazy challenge seeking element.

Whatever was following probably put the food there for her. Seriously after all those days it would have got her if it wanted to. Also what did she eat for the majority of the days. She only had like two more days supply until she met her friend to resupply when she went off the trail. That's a lot of days and a Back pack just does not hold fifteen days of food and that's figuring on the low end of 23 days. She said the donuts and such helped for only two days.
Why does anyone go off a trail? To go to the bathroom. Mark probably had to pee in the night. Left his pack cuz he was coming right back. But got disoriented and called for help. Got lost trying to find his way back to the trail.

Sounds like mark died of exposure/hypothermia, but that doesn’t track at all with him getting dragged out by an animal… Also, the point about how he was too exhausted to continue walking so therefore how could he have gotten up in the middle of the night and walked three miles makes no sense; he had just been sleeping/resting so of course NOW he could walk again. He only couldn’t walk further after he’d already BEEN hiking nonstop for hours. Once he got some sleep it basically was a brand new day for him and I’m sure he could hike just fine again. And were there any injuries indicating an animal attack? Also, why would the animal go through the trouble of dragging him out of his tent AND 3 miles away but then NOT finish the job? first of all. if you ever broke your collar bone, thats paralyzing pain. I do not think anyone can play like that if thats a true story I have no idea how. I got smashed between 2 kids who were gigantic in size compared to me playing hockey one time and broke my collar bone and I wasn't able to move for a month. the pain that shot through my body made it impossible for me to change my clothes or even get up from bed. I have a high pain tolerence too i play through most injuries.

first of all. if you ever broke your collar bone, thats paralyzing pain. I do not think anyone can play like that if thats a true story I have no idea how. I got smashed between 2 kids who were gigantic in size compared to me playing hockey one time and broke my collar bone and I wasn't able to move for a month. the pain that shot through my body made it impossible for me to change my clothes or even get up from bed. I have a high pain tolerence too i play through most injuries.
I no patience for idiots going into forests or climbing they just asking for death! ♥️🏴
