Looking good! What blades are you running? I've got a single grow over over my WB Pen25 and loving it. I was considering adding a glow for some pop when I get all the corals in. Are you going to do a par test?
@@whatthereef yeah they pump out some light for their size. I haven’t done a par test on mine yet so I’ll be intrigued to see how you fare. Keep up the good work 👌🏼
I actually just started this tank back up again! Still in the cycling process. Have the Nero 3 on random 50% and axis on 50% constant. I will adjust it some more when corals are in!
Just getting my Cube 20 going. Do you put the heater in the same chamber as the return pump, or out in the main tank area? Is a protein skimmer necessary on these? Thanks for your help, love the videos
I use a 100 watt ink bird in the return chamber. I usually use a skimmer for oxygenation with co2 scrubber for ph. You could get away with just filter sock or filter floss depending on bio load!
😂🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽 I just realized I swear doesn’t matter how many times you set one up some shi* always happens .. it’s actually cycling well. I did add some Aquaforest bio S for safety measures. I appreciate the heads up!!
@@whatthereef interesting that the tank is cycling. What levels are you reading for your params? I'm not sure if the freshwater strains will survive in saltwater. If they do then thats great for biodiversity. I would recommend adding saltwater strains if possible. Goodluck beautiful tank!

I have two grows and one glow 12inch. Yes par test is coming, I have a feeling it’s gonna be very high lol

Where did you get those water containers for your mixing station there super clean looking.
Tractor supply. They are solid containers but a bit $$
@@whatthereef Nice thanks bud!
I live in a small condo and would love a small reef. I have to way to store water, so I would have to use tap water. Is this possible?
Would not recommend it. Tap water has a lot of impurities. You will have a lot of issues! I would just get a rodi unit and make water as you need it.
What do you use for filtration. Also what nozzle is that on your return pump??
What settings do you have on your axis and Nero fans? I got the same ones in a 16 gal

The ato line is supposed to leak. Its designed that way for no back siphon.
Ahh guess I never payed attention to it
3 x AI blade coral grows at 12 inch? I have 1 on a 5 gallon and it's nice. Wonder if the glow version is worth getting as well.
Yes 12inch. I got the glow so it won’t be so blue. Doing sps in this tank and I always have issues with par so I went all out lol

Are those rocks the ones that come with the tank?
No rocks come with the water box.
@@whatthereef ahhhh I believe you can add them on. What rock package did you use? I love your scape!
Thank you! Had some left over rocks from Aquaforest
Waterbox 20 or 25 peninsula for first saltwater tank?
I only had the cube but the peninsula looks good too. Both are good beginner tanks!
Nice setup. What nozzle are you using?
VCA dual 1/4 flex off of brs
Your Dr. Tims bacteria is for freshwater

@danielbrito3852 I did go ahead and add Aquaforest bio S! Literally saved this tank if it didn’t work lol so thanks!
