No control over thickness of roti .It will vary with how resistive the dough is.
A stiff dough will give thick rotis and a soft one will give thinner rotis
Can think of putting some kind od a positive stop to get uniform thickness of rotis everytime .
Excellent idea to get the pressing force in the middle .This is a screw press .Keep improving it and launch a kitchen top model 👌 👏 👍
By using torque controlled screw driver for drive motor you can control the thickness.

It's not brilliant ,There is need to add oil in Atta/Maide to make it non sticky .Which is bad for health

Using plastic sheets for each pressing, is something which requires some patience!
Why not use teflon sheets to cover the pressing surfaces!
Sheet manufacturers can specify the adhesive or the chemical to do this.
The teflon sheets would have to be rough sanded to aid bonfing.
This is almost Hi - Tech design, by using two wheeler engine starter. It works on 12 Volts DC power. Good work. Thanks a lot. 👌

Making roti with tradition way by hand chakla belan is so easy .just use patience.
Can i get more pressure jack for different use?
By making chapti groove in wood we can easily get same thickness or by providing thickness stops at the end of the lower plate. Just like seperators.
A frame in the upper part will give support to the pipes

Sir you could have made the wooden parts in and and have fixed heat element to heat the surface and the chapatis could have come out with slight baked.

You can control the torque by using impact screwdriver gears, then we can able to give torque to specific type of dough
Use that to do lots of thing including moulds 👍 good thing Ive got a few old drills lol but no bike starters lol
