Never was a Chris Cole fanboy, but she said "100 pound suitcases"; I'm a decently strong 6' 7" 30 year old Man, about the same build as Chris, and I would struggle to effectively throw a 5 gallon water jug (40-ish pounds) ten feet. That's extremely outlandish. You don't want to be hyperbolic with your accusations if you want to be taken seriously. Also, at 8:39 when she says "any time I reached out for helpI was met with-" and then proceeds to claim that the people SHE REACHED OUT TO FOR HELP HERSELF manipulated her and used her kids against her. That's a big red flag.

I feel like if I were still a teen or in my 20s, I would be looking for any excuse to defend Chris Cole, but having been around skateboarding enough and knowing that it attracts people like us that are pretty f'ed up in our own ways, I do not see this as impossible. He's no Gator or Neil Heddings, but this is NOT that hard to believe, really. Maybe it is an era thing, and skating is far more respectable now and attracts well-adjusted people, but I doubt it. People who genuinely love skating--we've all got demons and they come out in ways that are not always just self-destructive, but can hurt others around us. Cole needs help. It's simple as that.

Having people opposing her lived experience isn't beneficial to her; it's simply undermining her, and making her unhappy. There is no other "side" to her, because her situation and opinion is more relevant and important than ours. We aren't in a position right now to be devil's advocate to her. It'd be ignorant and arrogant to be so. The people who can't simply have one side is us - we have to have both to make a fair and equitable judgment.
I wasn't there so I can't say if it happened or not. I had a friend a narcissist personality and she falsly accused her husband of abusing her. I know that he didn't because when he asked her to leave, she said that she owned his place. She only left because she would be arrested if she didn't. I helped her get her stuff and into a hotel. Then after I helped her get into a hotel she started yelling at me. I blew it off thinking that it was because she was stressed out. She grabbed his gun. She had cats and yelled at me because I suggested that if she was worried about her cats not getting fed to tell the people next door to make sure that they were being fed. I stayed calm. We went to his place and fed her cats. a week later she got accepted into the womans shelter. She had crystal meth on her and the staff at the womans shelter kicked her out. She blamed me for that. I asked her how is it my fault that you got caught? She yelled because you were supposed to hold it for me. So there was another womans shelter in another city. She started calling me when she needed alcohol to buy. She knew it was forbidden to have it on her over there. She got caught with it and kicked out. Again she blamed me. We got into a fight because I was fed up with her yelling at me and blaming me for her mistakes. She threw a punch at me so naturally I defended myself. So the cops were called and they told us stay away from each other otherwise we'll take you two to jail. Two friends of mine picked her up and let her stay with them. Things calmed down after that. We were in another city and she met some people who offered her a job. I was happy about that. So she moved in with them for a while. The night we got arrested she had been drinking heavily and I had a shot of alcohol. A few hours later she got angry and I was driving. We had a big fight. She was beating me so again I defended myself. We got pulled over both of us went to jail. I failed the DUI tests so I got arrested. The cop asked if I would give a sample of my blood. I did. We spent the night in jail in seperate cells. She had to pay a fine. I didn't. I got out the next day. I decided to not have anymore contact with her. She threatened to kill me. When my connections found out they watched me like a hawk. A year later an undercover police officer set up a sting operation. She told the undercover police officer her plans to kill me. He sold her crystal meth to keep his cover from being blown he asked her where was she going. Stupidly she told him. Right when she got to the place she was going cops were there and searched her car and she ended up being arrested.
The son having her back could just be a very manipulative mother. These things are always so tough to judge or get right. I'm not saying that's what happened either just playing devil's advocate on that point as well.

I actually knew Chrissy back in the day before she met cole. Her and my friends would go to hardcore shows in philly. I remember when she first met chris at the vans skatepark in franklin mills mall they would chill at, we never saw here anymore cause she was always with him everyday. Chrissy was such a cool chick. I haven't seen her in over 20 years this was early 2000's late 90's but i can say this is wild coming out like this. I wouldnt see why she would lie about something like this. Financial manipulation is common in abuse situations- abusive men tend to try and push their wife's to not work and have children's because then years later when she's considering coming out or laying charges, the guy has massive leverage because she has no job and can't get one because she has no work experience and if she comes out, the guy loses the money that was supporting her and the kids, so she has no choice but to keep quiet. In this case, Christine and Cole have already divorced and she has managed to get her own job, and the kids are grown up, and so now Cole no longer has leverage over her and that's why she's coming out now
or now that her financial future is secure she wants to ruin chris, ive seen this happen before, ex-wife waits until she can afford to cause problems, causes problems, then basks in the glory, the whole situation reeks of a victim complex
People need to be more specific. Are you talking about a civil lawsuit? A criminal lawsuit. The idea that you can never believe anyone unless there's a criminal conviction is insane. That's the burden of proof to keep someone out of jail, but that doesn't mean normal. Thinking people can't make a judgment call based on the preponderance of the evidence Ponderance of the evidence is a standard for civil trials but not criminal trials.

This situation is odd. If she is telling the truth, that's not enough evidence. Just by looking at those slight bruises, the location of them don't make any sense. If he had her pinned on the ground and was choking her, how tf did she get a bruise on her knee and side of the thigh? That's not really consistent to that story and also, where are the pictures of the neck bruising from him choking her? That "abuse letter", there's no way that's actually real. I don't see enough here to warrant her even taking this to court. The case is muddy at best. Not only that, if that story about her teeth is true and she didn't tell the dentist what actually happened, she kind of screwed herself. Photos of bruises aren't necessarily proof of abuse, I'm sure Cole as a skateboarder has many bruises as well. Yes those bruises COULD be caused by abuse, but pics are just 1 person's word that is how they got them. People fall, hit body parts on furniture, run into things, etc. and get bruises all the time. Video and credible witnesses (Children are least credible as they can be coerced easily) of the abuse actually happening are FACTUAL proof and doesn't require believing just 1 person's story. The son may not necessarily back the dad, if he is a "momma's boy" he will back the mother. There's 3 sides to every story, his side and her side, both of which will push the narrative they want to be true, and the actual TRUTH.

She didn't say she only wants people around who don't question it at all. She said she only wants people around who care that it happened, as in not completely dismissing it and making her feel wrong for being a victim. People who care that it happened are the ones who would be there to actually discuss it if she wants to, because they take it seriously and not just "playing Devil's advocate". She seems very resentful and calculating. Women can be very manipulating and antagonistic. I've had a few try bait me into aggression so they can claim the victim. They've even outright stated their evil intentions to frame me. Fortunately I have been very cool never to hit a woman, but I can say it's not to hard to imagine why a man would do that. Women can be hysterical, nasty, disrespectful and out right cruel to men. I just don't think it's wise to jump to the side of the woman, just because she's claiming to be the victim. She stands more to gain from this. Also maybe those bruises are her falling off a skateboard, she is married to a pro skateboarder. Going public and trying to defame him just falls into the narcissists playbook for revenge. A truly traumatized person wouldn't want to escalate things and potentially put themselves at further risk if the guy is actually violent.
Chris Cole definitely has some anger issues. I've seen some major meltdowns that rival Kerry "hockey temper" getz rage outs! But to be fair I think almost every skater has at least a few times raged out not landing tricks.

The reason the court of public opinion is so fucked is the plague of drama channels covering every personal issue of every type of celebrity. Never was a Chris Cole fanboy, but she said "100 pound suitcases"; I'm a decently strong 6' 7" 30 year old Man, about the same build as Chris, and I would struggle to effectively throw a 5 gallon water jug (40-ish pounds) ten feet. I feel like if I were still a teen or in my 20s, I would be looking for any excuse to defend Chris Cole, but having been around skateboarding enough and knowing that it attracts people like us that are pretty f'ed up in our own ways, I do not see this as impossible. He's no Gator or Neil Heddings, but this is NOT that hard to believe, really. Maybe it is an era thing, and skating is far more respectable now and attracts well-adjusted people, but I doubt it. People who genuinely love skating--we've all got demons and they come out in ways that are not always just self-destructive, but can hurt others around us. Cole needs help. It's simple as that.

It'd be ignorant and arrogant to be so. The people who can't simply have one side is us - we have to have both to make a fair and equitable judgment.
I wasn't there so I can't say if it happened or not. I had a friend a narcissist personality and she falsly accused her husband of abusing her. I know that he didn't because when he asked her to leave, she said that she owned his place. She only left because she would be arrested if she didn't. I helped her get her stuff and into a hotel. Then after I helped her get into a hotel she started yelling at me. I blew it off thinking that it was because she was stressed out. She grabbed his gun. She had cats and yelled at me because I suggested that if she was worried about her cats not getting fed to tell the people next door to make sure that they were being fed. I stayed calm. We went to his place and fed her cats. a week later she got accepted into the womans shelter. She had crystal meth on her and the staff at the womans shelter kicked her out. She blamed me for that. I asked her how is it my fault that you got caught? She yelled because you were supposed to hold it for me. So there was another womans shelter in another city. She started calling me when she needed alcohol to buy. She knew it was forbidden to have it on her over there. She got caught with it and kicked out. Again she blamed me. We got into a fight because I was fed up with her yelling at me and blaming me for her mistakes. She threw a punch at me so naturally I defended myself. So the cops were called and they told us stay away from each other otherwise we'll take you two to jail. Two friends of mine picked her up and let her stay with them. Things calmed down after that. We were in another city and she met some people who offered her a job. I was happy about that. So she moved in with them for a while. The night we got arrested she had been drinking heavily and I had a shot of alcohol. A few hours later she got angry and I was driving. We had a big fight. She was beating me so again I defended myself. We got pulled over both of us went to jail. I failed the DUI tests so I got arrested. The cop asked if I would give a sample of my blood. I did. We spent the night in jail in seperate cells. She had to pay a fine. I didn't. I got out the next day. I decided to not have anymore contact with her. She threatened to kill me. When my connections found out they watched me like a hawk. A year later an undercover police officer set up a sting operation. She told the undercover police officer her plans to kill me. He sold her crystal meth to keep his cover from being blown he asked her where was she going. Stupidly she told him. Right when she got to the place she was going cops were there and searched her car and she ended up being arrested.
The son having her back could just be a very manipulative mother. These things are always so tough to judge or get right. I'm not saying that's what happened either just playing devil's advocate on that point as well.

I haven't seen her in over 20 years this was early 2000's late 90's but i can say this is wild coming out like this. I wouldnt see why she would lie about something like this. Financial manipulation is common in abuse situations- abusive men tend to try and push their wife's to not work and have children's because then years later when she's considering coming out or laying charges, the guy has massive leverage because she has no job and can't get one because she has no work experience and if she comes out, the guy loses the money that was supporting her and the kids, so she has no choice but to keep quiet. In this case, Christine and Cole have already divorced and she has managed to get her own job, and the kids are grown up, and so now Cole no longer has leverage over her and that's why she's coming out now
or now that her financial future is secure she wants to ruin chris, ive seen this happen before, ex-wife waits until she can afford to cause problems, causes problems, then basks in the glory, the whole situation reeks of a victim complex

Just by looking at those slight bruises, the location of them don't make any sense. If he had her pinned on the ground and was choking her, how tf did she get a bruise on her knee and side of the thigh? That's not really consistent to that story and also, where are the pictures of the neck bruising from him choking her?

In response to the “court of law” thing. There’s a statute of limitations which limits someone from pressing charges if the crime committed has been more than 5 years. Also, how do you make a public response without your kids knowing?

Photos of bruises aren't necessarily proof of abuse, I'm sure Cole as a skateboarder has many bruises as well. Yes those bruises COULD be caused by abuse, but pics are just 1 person's word that is how they got them. People fall, hit body parts on furniture, run into things, etc. and get bruises all the time. Video and credible witnesses (Children are least credible as they can be coerced easily) of the abuse actually happening are FACTUAL proof and doesn't require believing just 1 person's story. The son may not necessarily back the dad, if he is a "momma's boy" he will back the mother. There's 3 sides to every story, his side and her side, both of which will push the narrative they want to be true, and the actual TRUTH.

Uhhh. Yeah I am very skeptical of the ex wife. I've personally seen women do CRAZY things to manipulate a situation. Even the son's response could be something she orchestrated. Humans lie (usually 8 times a day, in fact you just did by saying she was abused in your comment) especially in divorces with millions of dollars, insane assets and status involved. You also know this, because you just lied to harm someone for no apparent reason. She seems very resentful and calculating. Women can be very manipulating and antagonistic. I've had a few try bait me into aggression so they can claim the victim. They've even outright stated their evil intentions to frame me. Fortunately I have been very cool never to hit a woman, but I can say it's not to hard to imagine why a man would do that. Women can be hysterical, nasty, disrespectful and out right cruel to men. I just don't think it's wise to jump to the side of the woman, just because she's claiming to be the victim. She stands more to gain from this. Also maybe those bruises are her falling off a skateboard, she is married to a pro skateboarder. Going public and trying to defame him just falls into the narcissists playbook for revenge. A truly traumatized person wouldn't want to escalate things and potentially put themselves at further risk if the guy is actually violent.
Chris Cole definitely has some anger issues. I've seen some major meltdowns that rival Kerry "hockey temper" getz rage outs! But to be fair I think almost every skater has at least a few times raged out not landing tricks.
Hey Dan love the channel, especially as a fellow uk skater that has uploaded for 10 years plus, although never taken serious and I’ve just used UA-cam as a footage archive. But I really hate these drama videos, I can see there really helping with your channels growth, but the more and more it pigeon holes you as the uk skater keemstar, and that just ain’t it chief. Pls stick to all the other sick shit you’ve been making to help progress the uk skate scene, rather then being the Uk guy that has constant beef with U.S skaters.

The reason the court of public opinion is so fucked is the plague of drama channels covering every personal issue of every type of celebrity. Why is anyone caring about any of this before a case is brought to court? All of this is an ongoing case and all parties should have privacy until it’s sorted 🙏
