The creator of this weapon had no time to explain why he/she named their weapon no time to explain. To fix this conundrum, he/she added the rewind perk, used for a reversal effect to bring the past back to present to show why he/she had no time to explain in the first place. Though, not already having any time to explain in the present-made-future why there was no time to begin with, he/she created a weapon, it was called, no time to explain. If there was enough time to explain, the very foundation of this weapon would crumble. Because, in reality, there truly isn't any time to explain. Why one might ask? Well, if I had time..........I'd probably explain...
One thing that kinda bugs me about TTK regarding primary weapons, is how little of them actually have elemental damage... It seems that next to none of them have elemental damages, whether that be exotic or legendary (Zhaolo is the only one I know of that actually has elemental damage, correct me if there are others). It's kind of annoying, because with Crota, each primary was elemental, as was VoG weapons. Then PoE hit and you started to notice a decline in the amount of elemental weapons (but that didn't matter seeing that you could ascend your old shit anyway). Now that ascension is gone, there are soooo little elemental primaries now it bums me out a bit! I'm not crying, as I do fine without it, but in times where you have match game as a modifier on nightfalls, it gets a real pain in the ass.
+Chris Hazell the reason bungie has done this I believe is quite simple. So your doing PVE and e primaries exsist....well shit theres the obvious choice you'll take those, doesn't matter if you like another gun more. So by eliminating them at least for a little while, people can use MORE guns in pve instead of having to have that 1-3 guns, seems to be the whole idea with TTK, use what you want because nothing is stupidly OP for any activity.
Duh, hard mode will have elemental primaries, remember there was no primaries what so ever from normal crota and I believe only the VoC & Atheon's Epilogue on normal VoG. The best loot comes from the hardest challenges and that's how it should be.
Definitely a boss killer. Not sure how it compares to things like Black Spindle but in the raid I was doing an awful lot of damage with it against Warpriest and Galgoroth. Probably not as much damage but much more forgiving. Against strike bosses, depending on the boss, it's definitely among the best guns.
This was an all-time favorite exotic quest for me, as it also coincided with my second vault of glass run ever. Insanely fantastic quest, super cool gun too.
I play a lot of PvP and I love both this gun and Nirwin's. I think it can be just as viable too. I used to love using the stranger's rifle in PvP so I feel at home using this gun. I'm swapping back between the two, but leaning more towards No Time To Explain because the rewind perk actually comes in handy every so often. It's sometimes the difference between running out of ammo in the mag and dying to someone and killing them with your last few bullets.
you know what's been really pissing me off. I'm a 294 titan that's been trying to do the raid these last couples of weeks. Every time I load it up 90% of comments of forums are 300+, touch of malice, etc. Well how can I get to that point if no one will do it
You should try to make a group with friends. I was 292 when I did the raid but my whole fireteam was my friends from real life so we all got on well and co operated
loved this quest line, this was the most funny 2hour quest in destiny I have had for a long time. that Minotaur mission was the most hilarious thing to date. also the way I found it was being killed in crucible then interrogating the guy that killed me. still, this was a cool quest plus those mission descriptions where really cool and I have a few saved screenshots to remember Praedyth's wisdom
KryptonZ I saw the video in my recommended bar and though it was the stranger's rifle. P.S The Stranger's rifle is my favorite weapon in all of Destiny but I don't use it much because of it's low light level, so I will define to be getting the N.T.t.E.
Legendary Strangers rifle is way better than NTTE for regular pvp. The rewind perk is mainly for PvE. Bas Juju still trumps this gun because it resets your ammo, this gun only gives on precision hits. Good thing I'm not a collector coz I'm passing out on this one.
I'd carry both tbh. You may not like it but NTTE trumps Bad JuJu in boss fights. Bad JuJU = mob gun NTTE = boss gun. NTTE is personally my favourite gun to do KF with (other than touch of malice during invincible aura parts of course)
I completed the last part of the quest by myself. I don't understand why most people are complaining it's difficult. I was 295 light with a 289 stillpiercer I was doing somewhere around 7500 damage when I got a critical damage shot.
Why do most youtubers judge a weapon by its ability in PvP. Here's a secret. The quest weapons, if its focused in PvP like the chaperone its a PvP weapon no time to explain is pve. Also The First Curse is a PVE gun. Just saying.
hey datto it's the next weekly reset and the second half of the quest popped up for me with FWC. it's the next reset after you find all the ghost memories 👍
One nice thing about NTTE is its hidden recoil direction stat -- it's 90/100, which means there's virtually no lateral movement in the kick (compare that to something like Spare Change.25 or Apple of Discord without Counterbalance - yikes). Usually a slower kill than Hawksaw or Bad Juju in crucible, but it's still strong. Definitely good for fans of the Stranger's Rifle... although that weapon doesn't consume an exotic slot.

Arc damage wasn't datamined or rumored. There was a Game Informer screenshot that showed it having arc damage, as well as the actual article mentioning it.
I was very glad that my friends and I ended up doing VoG. But for some reason, the hard difficulty didn't appear for us so we assumed that it was removed. Atheon and Templar were very easy to kill. And ended up getting Atheon's Epilogue and Chatterwhite on my first run
I was looking back at your other videos and looked at the Exotic Weapon Tier lists, and I was wondering, are you gonna do another one for the Taken King? Especially with all the new weapons and the changes to other weapons and new weapons popping up like the Spindle and No Time
+The Chiefs I know how youtubers always get a lot... At some point you get like 10-20 messages of unknown packages... and then each package contains about 1-5 strange coins and 5-10 motes. This happened with me and I got so hyped up and shouted "I FOUND JACK'S POT!" It happens anytime really... I think you need all the DLC's for destiny (EX pack I and II and the Taken King)
Advice, don't go for this gun , I mean you can if your an exotic collector and just wanna do it for the lolz but it's not anything special or good in general
I got lucky with the Atheon part of this quest, with the ppl I played King’s Fall with inviting me to play Vault of Glass. Both raids are my second and last times completing them.
If anyone is having trouble with the Gatekeeper section, there is a ledge on the right side of the area that you can jump to and shoot from without having damage done to you. I solo'd it because of this.

Datto, you kinda understated the difficulty of the Groundskeeper mission. It is not 'somewhat difficult', it was HELL for me. I was at 326 light too. The boss itself was easy, but THE MINOTAURS. ALL OF THE MINOTAURS. INFINITE MINOTAURS. MUCH DEATH SUCH ANGER. WOW. I did do it solo though so it probably won't be too hard with teammates.
this gun will be a good option for dps on the raid. the rewind perk makes this weapown the primary version of the black hammer y1. this gun will be good only problem is that it would be better if it had a burn.
The sights are alright, but worse than on Stranger's Rifle, yeah. It's a very good PvE weapon, particularly in the raid on things like Warpriest and Daughters. If the invincibility buff is removed for hard mode, it's going to be a VERY good alternative to Touch of Malice. No Time To Explain quickly became the go-to primary for a few of my clanmates, but I'm leaning towards you on this. Overall a very good weapon, but I might as well use Nirwen's and something like Black Spindle.
It's on the next reset day cause I just got my no time to explain quest last week and you don't have to get all three hidden ghosts all I did was get the "cult" ghost at the end of the paradox mission... Hope this clears up confusion and helps you guys :)
A much easier way to get the simulation core is to load the mission "last rites" on heroic difficulty, a major Minotaur is a guaranteed spawn in the main battle
The chest in Twilight gap took me like 10 seconds to find because Keen Scout marks it on the map, it was in the little room with the shelves by C for me

assuming you're talking about Destiny 1 and not 2 where you need the deluxe edition. Yes you can do it on a regular mission, but it must be heroic.

Hey Datto! I have a cool idea for a new mythbusters video about swords and just how much they can block! I have seen the oversoul and the devouring essence absolutely DENIED by the sword blocking maneuver. Hopefully you see this. I think it would make a great video!
Datto, you kinda understated the difficulty of the Groundskeeper mission. It is not 'somewhat difficult', it was HELL for me. I was at 326 light too. The boss itself was easy, but THE MINOTAURS. ALL OF THE MINOTAURS. INFINITE MINOTAURS. MUCH DEATH SUCH ANGER. WOW. I did do it solo though so it probably won't be too hard with teammates.
I'm 320 light did it no problem and by myself
Yeah I did it at 335 with two who were just under and it was still pretty painful
this gun will be a good option for dps on the raid. the rewind perk makes this weapown the primary version of the black hammer y1. this gun will be good only problem is that it would be better if it had a burn.
The sights are alright, but worse than on Stranger's Rifle, yeah. It's a very good PvE weapon, particularly in the raid on things like Warpriest and Daughters. If the invincibility buff is removed for hard mode, it's going to be a VERY good alternative to Touch of Malice. No Time To Explain quickly became the go-to primary for a few of my clanmates, but I'm leaning towards you on this. Overall a very good weapon, but I might as well use Nirwen's and something like Black Spindle.
Pretty sure this was the last exotic I got in D1. Hopefully it’ll make a return in D2 someday.
No Time to Explain's Rewind ability procs when your target is hit and/or teathered by Shadow shot.
It's on the next reset day cause I just got my no time to explain quest last week and you don't have to get all three hidden ghosts all I did was get the "cult" ghost at the end of the paradox mission... Hope this clears up confusion and helps you guys :)
A much easier way to get the simulation core is to load the mission "last rites" on heroic difficulty, a major Minotaur is a guaranteed spawn in the main battle
Time gating for Lakshimi opened back up. It looks like its tied to the reset if you didn't get it the first time.
Will be better if they add back Rewind as an intrinsic perk (missed shot has a high chance to return to the mag.)
The chest in Twilight gap took me like 10 seconds to find because Keen Scout marks it on the map, it was in the little room with the shelves by C for me
Also, No Time to Explain is pre-nerf Black Hammer as a Pulse Rifle

Hey Datto, Jordan here, I know you probably have a lot of content to do and that you're slowing down your content release rate, but a topic that I'd like to see you cover would be the new PVP meta/where PVP is at the moment. By this I mean, what weapons, weapon classes, subclasses, subclass perks, exotic armours and weapons are good in TTK crucible meta. If you do make this video, I will send you a video of me eating a spoonful of vegemite, through some means of messaging. Because in Australia, we eat vegemite every day, and if Australians say that they don't, they are lying, or are not Australian.

U should try it out in the raid against targets that u can hit constant precision shots(golgoroth, oryx)!

+iMixMaSteR1 woaah relax yourself there, but I've seen it in action and they are believe it or not. when black spindle runs out of ammo. That's it. dps is over. but no time to explain is infinite, so im theory infinite dps. so actually I'm not an idiot and you are just closed minded

It can be super useful in the raid. No Reload during warpriest, golgoroth, deathsingers. It can be a poor man's touch of malice.
This is what passes for an exotic now. A perk that is slightly better than three others on goddamned blues.
Just finished the raid with 3 people using 310 No Time To Explains, according to them, it's really good in the raid besides Oryx where Touch of Malice is still better
