After these mercurial videos Josh, I am starting to incline more towards the Puma Ultras.
I would recommend the puma ultras for sure. I used to rock vapors but got kinda bored of Nike so I tried them out and I love them.

The vapor 12 pro was the peak of Nike’s takedowns imo. Vapor 13 and 14 pro also good but genuinely vapor 12 pro was a good competitor to the vapor 12 elite

Totally agree with this! I have Superfly 6 Pro (Vapor 12 line) and Superfly 7 Pro (Vapor 13 line) , SF6 has this similar feeling to Vapor 10 (First grade). I used Vapor 10 before so I know how it feels. SF7 was okay but it's just a little stiff even after break-in.
I do have Phantom Venom Elite as well but I find myself going back to SF7 Pro instead.

Ive had a pair of both, I will say they both look amazing, the vapor 14’s are a little more narrow and tight but not too bad and the superfly’s have an amazing feeling but for me, it was a bit difficult to put on the superflys since the sock is wayy to tiny. Overall I would say I like the vapor 14’s more it would be just perfect though if it was a little more wide

Hey Josh, please do a video comparing the FG sole plate vs the new AG sole plate. I'm dying to see how it compares to the old AG-Pro sole plate and if this current FG plate will be suitable or safe enough to play on an AG surface because I really don't like the look of the new AG sole plate.
The FG soleplate is still pretty much the same with the bladed studs, so not safe and to clingy on AG in my opinion. The old AG pattern was perfect for both, but not so great on older or bad AG pitches. That's why Nike changed back from a hybrid pattern to a full AG pattern that's also good on old AG pitches.
The only thing that is really holding me back from buying the new mercurials is that the AG sole plate isn't the AG pro ones anymore which means I can't really use it on both firm ground and Artificial ground

You can go on Nike and get the elite models in the phantom gt the vapor the phantom venom and others.
I’ve had the Vapor 14 Pro for nearly 6 months, and they’re phenomenal boots. I personally like a really tight, sock-like feel, and the Mercurial allows for pin-point precision. I’ve got quite wide feet, and sometimes experience pain, but it’s absolutely worth it for the unique feel only the Mercurials can offer.
In fact, I also bought a Vapor 14 Elite pair, and I’ve continued to play with the
Pros. Perhaps (probably) it’s just because I’ve already broken them in, but I find them much more comfortable, and sock-like, almost as if I wasn’t wearing anything at all. I’ve yet to replicate the same sensation with the Elites.
Overall definitely recommend the Pros. 100% worth the money.
what about the studs now, is your studs shoe easy to run out? Like the elite if we use 3-4 times a week regulary

I wasn’t thinking about how humble this guy is. He basically thinks that the vapor pros are value for money and that you should save up your money. I just found out today that Josh has a garage full of supercars so I think it’s incredible how this man wants you to save your money. I bet you he makes smart investments IRL.

I honestly wished they just updated the soleplate on the Vapor 13s, and made it so the polyurethane layer didn’t stick out after wear in wet conditions. Think I prefer the knit over the synthetic.

I've been having vapor 13 elites v1 since summer 2019 playing on turf, grass. Except for studs on the left heel weakened over time, I don't see any issues with them. Going to upgrade to 14 or Phantom GTs pretty soon. But 13s were the best so far

@@KyalPOV I’ve currently got 14s and weird thing is I’m a size 6 and had to get size 8.5 but it kinda slips a really little bit when walking u think I just have to break into them? Or I need to go down .5 so a size 8
@@kubzy8477 yeah, i think you need to go down. Ideally, there should be a little or no space at all in the toe area. But in that case, it’s tight on sides. You shouldn’t slip inside, it’s big then. It should be tight but painless.
It still hurts on the sides when i play in the 14s. I’ll try shoe extender
@@KyalPOV there is very little space I would say half a inch 1.27cm but if I get any less I would Chuck away the boots within 2 months as I’m still in that growing period 14yrs old I’ll keep them and see if I can do anything about it maybe it’s cuz I’ve been currently been wearing them indoors hopefully they should be better on their respective surface FG

they can fit on the middle foot if they are steamed out
You always seem to say "go true to size" with mercurials, but they are always running small. Half to a full size up has always been what I've had to do with mercurials

Hey josh, I recently got the superfly 8 elite size 10 but I feel like there’s still space left in the toe to mid foot area, is this because they changed it to fit more wide feet people? Because the last mercurial I have had was the superfly 5 and it was true to size fitting like a sock, but it looks like I might have to even down a size
This exact thing happened to me lol. I got a size 10 and there’s just too much room in the toe area and also on the sides. You definitely will need to have to go a half size down. I recommend you return them

@Liam Dannels-Smith i had tiempo legend 7's and they were perfect, switched to phantom venom they were too tight for me, maybe even bc of that stupid lace cover i couldn't really stretch them properly but i doubt that's the case
I have wide feet and wear the vapor superflys, they feel 👌. Phantom gts are nice but after a couple of games you'll notice the sole plate will start to split under the main ball of your foot. It's not positioned that great. I went through 2 pairs and gave up so don't waste your money

Why haven’t any of the pros been wearing the Vapor 14 or the Superfly 8. When Prem games I don’t ever see any player wearing them.
The launch Dragonfly colorway was only set to be worn by Ronaldo, so that's part of it. As for this weekend, they're new boots with a different upper, so not everyone wants to jump into new boots for a mid-season match. Give it some time, and I'm sure more will make the switch for match days.
