    I tried this last night and it came out so good! I substituted the bacon grease with vegetable oil and I didn't add the sugar but paprika instead and it was delicious. My boyfriend thought it was absolutely delicious!

    I especially like creamed corn with sliced tomatoes, black eyed peas, squash, etc. really pairs well with other vegetables.
    Very easy and you can use white or yellow sweet corn. There a lot of hybrid corn varieties available depending on area of the country too which basically vary in sweetness.

    Every Thanksgiving and Christmas and Easter my family made it mandatory for me to make creamed corn lol. The only thing is my recipe is quite different because I was trying imitate a restaurant's cream corn I tried years ago and I finally found a similar recipe to it and that's how I make it. I make it in my crockpot. It's that Rudy's cream corn I make (well try to make).:-) Your recipe looks amazing too and I will make it some time. Thank you for posting it.

    Creamed corn is delicious! Not that common here in Norway, but my mother in law (from Trinidad) has always served with turkey and chicken, and my whole family has adopted it. Even some of my friends and co-workers. We also use a bit of cayenne (just a tad) and nutmeg. That, combined with turkey and coleslaw is simply amazing!

    I m new to ur channel nd desperately wanna try ur awesome recepies..
    can u plz tell wch cream do we add?
    is it mayonnaise? ?
    nd all purpose flour is the one through whch chapatis are made?

    • @emeraldruby3942
      @emeraldruby3942 4 роки тому

      No it is called heavy cream. This is not mayonnaise . Completely different . Heavy cream will be next to milk in the grocery store. I guess an alternative can be condensed milk .......or just regular milk. Problem is it won’t be thick .

  • @martinfairweather700

    In the UK, we call it bacon fat. You can’t beat it for cooking with pasta, mushrooms or potatoes. But I prefer goose fat for roast potatoes.
