- AEW Fight Forever is a wrestling game from All Elite Wrestling, the up and coming promotion that is the preeminent rival to the WWE's sports entertainment crown. However, as Andy and Mike discover while playing through the game's Road to Elite career mode, there's a lot more to it than that, including taking in America's most famous landmarks, eating local specialties across the land, participating in wild minigames, taking selfies with other wrestlers and, occasionally, doing some wrestling. I don't know much about wrestling but I would watch Andy and Mike play wrestling games everyday just because they are hilarious and wonderful together.
Okay, "on account of there being no voiceover" got a big laugh from me
While I am not a fan of wrestling games, I do enjoy watching yall play.
I want a simulator of going out to various cities and eating regional delicacies without the wrestling part.
The Yakuza games are kinda like that only there’s a lot of street fighting in between delicacy eating.
@@olsmellyknuckles9653 Thanks to not being able to eat unless I was missing health in some of the Yakuza games, and trophies and in game rewards and certain types of XP being available from dining, often I find myself going out to get deliberately beaten up just so I can go back in and eat more food.

My favorite part was the 100% correct response to seeing Sammy Guevara
some cool features in this game, i love it how Andy started to do the outro just before pinning the guy, such confidence he was going to win
I live in Jacksonville Florida and that restaurant didn't have enough random stuff stapled to the walls but the gator tail is on point!

Wow, the cutscenes remind me so much of Yakuza, especially how your guy chows down with his back to the camera then it shows you a photo of the food

Any fight forever content you are guaranteed to see comments where people are so angry that others enjoy the game. Love how their feels revolve around a game they don't play

I might pick the game up if the Stadium Stampede mode is fun or stupid enough. It definitely looks like the latter at least.

The only name I recognise here is Luchasaurus (I know nothing about wrestling, but he was in the "Super Slow Show" once- seems like a cool guy by the way), but it's always fun to see a game that both delivers actual gameplay and doesn't take itself too seriously:)

To be fair, Andy, Road Warrior Animal wore the spikes into his 50s, too.
"This is on Dark so no one is watching it" the burn is burning bright I actually watched AEW Dark during its first year in UA-cam and did have some great matches back then before it became squash match city.
The best part of Dark was always seeing the people they brought in for a per appearance type thing. Also Excalibur and Taz together alone "in the booth" was always a comedic set up.
I loved Dark and later Dark Elevation as well. But I digress
As a Seattlite I can say the local dish is completely wrong.
While not glamorous, Teriyaki meals are an iconic part of Seattle history. Seafood is an important part of our food options, but teriyaki joints are as numerous as Starbucks out here and people have their preferred places

I'm seeing a lot of people say this game looks terrible, and I have to wonder if they have actually played wrestling video games at all despite what they say. This looks like every other wrestling game ever, all due respect to AEW.
@@jsmith3946 Personally, I feel the WWE control system is a fancy way of trying to give people more fine control over what they're doing, but have you ever tried to play a modern WWE game with other people irl who aren't so well versed in them? And honestly, playing with other people was the best part when I was a kid playing Smackdown 2 on the PS1.

I've no idea who wrestlers are, but the guy andy is playing as looks like a young, shiny, Peter Stormare - so that is my headcanon for this video.
To me the best part of this game is the inclusion of Owen Hart. Glad to see him finally get his due as well
WWEhas wanted to use him in games and docs for years but Martha Hart keeps blocking them from doing so. For good reason. She specifically gave AEW the permission to honor him.

Agreed. AEW had her on to present the belts for the charity tournament they started for him. The chairman of AEW seems like a genuinely chill guy.

TRENT, from the BEST FRIENDS, WENT TO MY HIGH SCHOOL!!! I WENT TO HIS HOUSE COUNTLESS TIMES GROWING UP! "SUE" (HIS MOM THAT APPEARS OFTEN, I'M TOLD) KNOWS ME LIKE A FAMILY MEMBER, AS DOES "TRENT", BECAUSE HIS YOUNGER BROTHER WAS - GET THIS - *MY* BEST FRIEND GROWING UP, AND STILL IS TO THIS DAY!
We're all from Long Island, New York, but Trent's family has since moved to the South (as most New Yorkers tend to do once their kids grow up), but I've been following his career through stories from his lil bro, & our other best friend, who also has the same connection to the family (I don't have cable TV, & have a lot on my plate rn, so I've only seen clips & stuff of Trent being dropped off by Sue in the SUV, etc.).
Once he _left_ the WWE & entered AEW, I was super happy for him. He got to keep going, arguably in the better job. Around this time, I left a comment on an OXBOX video. I asked Andy if he knew who Trent was; he REPLIED to my comment, saying "Yes of course, the Best Friends!" That was mind-blowing enough right then! Little did I know...
Now, like 9 years later or something, after Trent has come back from countless horrific injuries, & still continues to wrestle like an absolute LEGEND, I saw that AEW was releasing a *GAME!* I asked one of my aforementioned "mates" if Greg (his real name🤫) was going to be immortalized in videogame form- and he sent me a promo pic of his character model! I STILL can't believe it (even if the likeness isn't good, I know his face lol).
So just imagine this. You grow up with your best friend - who wrestled in a homebrew Ring with us in his backyard btw - (I've f**king wrestled Trent lol) and then your BFF tells you "my brother is gonna be a pro wrestler!". You go on living your life, UA-cam explodes, and the first channel you really fall in love with is this upstart with Andy from Inside Xbox, Mike from OXM, & millionaire UA-camr Jane Douglas😅
You watch it for years, it grows and becomes a wonderful community.
Then one day, *that channel who you've watched since day one, says they're ABOUT TO WRESTLE **_YOUR BEST FRIEND'S BROTHER,_** in a VIDEO GAME!*
To make it even more insane- they're called the damn *BEST FRIENDS!* I know I'm late to this video, but again- I got a lot going on lately. I just hope that anyone can appreciate how amazing, mind-blowing and RADICAL AF this is for me, and everyone I will be sending this to!

The match scoring system gives higher scores to shorter matches, as well as higher scores for you losing less health throughout the course of the fight. Both indicators of a one sided, boring match. It’s based on dominance, rather than some sort of “audience enjoyment” metric…which would’ve been more fun

I do enjoy that has my favorite part of wwe 2k20. It's absolutely unhinged and ridiculous so you have no idea what's going to happen next. My favorite part of wrestling.

UA-cam's new UI for fire TVs is abysmal and gives me a headache now as I try to browse your videos.
I'm unfortunately not going to be able to view much more of your future youtube content under these circumstances. It shame, because oxbox and oxboxtra are my favorite youtube channels.
Really wish UA-cam would be reasonable and allow some level of accessibility features/customization. But we should all know better than to expect UA-cam to ever do the right thing.
