Can you do a step-by-step for this camera if we need to review something (an accident or a break-in)? Let say the car gets broken into at 2am and we have the park option setup, what are the steps to get to the recording and provide it to the police?

I'm plagued with problems since i bought the cam 1.5 months ago. Constant beeping sounds and "fake recording" where it says 2 channel recording but actually there is none. Realized it was due to a faulty original Viofo 256gb SD card. Replaced it and was ok. Parking auto detection mode records everything, even light flickering. So consider it as constant recording instead of auto. Final straw was a total hardware failure where the unit keeps restarting. All known attempts to troubleshoot doesnt work, firmware update not possible as it cant even read the SD card due to the constant restart. Reached out to their support and awaiting response. Its been a lot of hassle and stress to constantly be paranoid if the camera is working or even recording. Now, its not even booting up.

I work in the downtown east side and my car sits in the lot next to our building. Does having a dashcam make me more or less of a target for smash and grab? Is this camera meant for permanent install?

Good question. I have heard of dashcams being stolen but it's also very very hard to do. Just taking the dashcam off the sticker without a heat gun is difficult and if you have the cables installed it's hard for thieves to resell a dashcam without a power cable. Iver never had issues and I've never heard from any of my followers that they've been stolen....I think if it's a suction mount then it would be easier to steal

@charlt7670 well there's a reason why most dashcams (regardless of brand) are separate from the rear view mirror. Also from my understanding those don't have rear cameras

You removed my doubts about the 24fps.
Its makes a difference of 0,37cm (or 1.2 ft) between each frame when you go from 24fps to 30 fps by 160km/hr (or 99.4 miles/hr).
Why this "breakpoint"?
In the Netherlands the country roads are 80 km/hr. So head on some ofy come upfront and hit your mirror (or something) and bail out (don't stop to chance information for the insurance) you have more frames to catch the plate.

The cables are so thick, Specially the power cable. Is it easy to hide them in the trim? If you want to plug to a secondary battery instead of the car battery, what should I get? Thanks

Hey sorry for the late response. Cable width shouldn't matter too much it should fit behind vehicle trim. When it comes to batteries it shouldn't matter which dashcam you use since they all connect to various dashcams. Thanks for watching!

Could I turn the front camera around in case I want to record a police stop, for example. If yes, would it work in the daytime and evening? That way I would only need a 2 channel.

The front camera can only record the scene in front of the car and the FOV of it is 140°. It cannot be turned around to record the side part.

Hii i order this camera after watching ur video . But in app when I connect the camra through wifi it shut off my phone internet . I,m using Samsung s21 ultra phone. Is there any settings i have to do ? Can u help me with this

Congratulations on getting a new dashcam! Yes it most likely is a phone issue. I do know some of my dashcams in the past I had to put my phone on flight mode and turn only wifi on to download footage. Hope that helps

would the quality of the video be affected with a tinted front windshield and 5% tinted rear window?

Usually you want to put the dashcam lens below the tint at the top but I don't think it would make a big difference. If it's too dark you can always increase exposure in the settings so the footage is brighter. Keep in mind that if the dashcam is too high up on the windshield then the wipers can't clean the glass in front of the lens. Thanks for watching!
