I'm so sorry that you guys broke down at the wedding remembering all that happened around the time of yours. Thankfully you guys have each other to lean on and grieve with so you're not going through it alone. I know your day will be beautiful and while it may look a little different than you imagined, it will still be special and filled with love and hopefully laughter.

I love how Josh apologized for driving on the shoulder, how sweet. When you said that you felt your wedding started with so many difficulties, I understand what you meant. I'd like to share with you something, when my husband and I were getting married 43 years ago. I had always wanted to be a June bride, 3 days before our wedding my grandfather passed away. We had to cancel our wedding quickly, the flowers were already ordered and my family used them for the funeral. We postponed our wedding another month, on our wedding day the priest got lost and didn't show up. We had to call the parish pastor who allowed the visiting priest to perform the wedding to marry us. Talk about starting off with so many obstacles! The only thing that I will always remember was the missing priest. It taught us that we could face just about anything in our marriage and it brought us closer. I married a wonderful man who I got to share my life with for 39 years before he passed away. I wish you many Blessings in life and I'm sorry for the losses you and your family have endured. Take good care of yourselves.

Iam a long time silent viewer but not today as you are heavy on my heart your pain is written on your face and eyes your sister was a happy girl spontaneous she loved you she loved life and would not want you to be hurting she would want you to be happy on your wedding day with your own music and start a new life with Josh my sister passed as well I did not get to say goodbye and I too struggle with that pain but threw prayer and faith I have become stronger find something to believe in your husband your new life together yourself your job something you are passionate about and dedicate to Pup. Love you girl.

Pro tip for busy airports rental cars. Take public transportation to off airport rental car office. I recently saved about half or more off car rental and paid nothing to take the Boston Red Line to the rental car office and only $2.40 to return to the airport. It took me 45 minutes from the time that I left busy Boston Logan airport to getting into my rental car.
Dispute that rental car charge with your credit card company! That is ridiculous to expect you to stand in line for hours - especially if you were there right at your expected pickup time! Oh and I love Publix - it's the only grocery store I visit in the South
Kacey, you and Josh looked so nice for your friend's wedding! Born and brought up in Atlanta and it can be very tough on allergies. Glad the weather was relatively nice for you. The traffic appeared to be the usual (i.e., terrible).

Love how Josh did the old I’m going to do it and apologize latter when he was driving. Normal people don’t know the fun of flying standby. I’ve even been pulled off after I got a seat.
That's normal Atlanta traffic. Also, contact the rental car corporate office and tell them what happened. There's always a possibility they'll refund your money. We never take out the insurance. Your personal car insurance should cover accidents, etc.
It does cover you for accident but they also will bill you the daily rate because the car is out of service. Insurance does not cover that😢
You two are lovely! I lived in Atlanta for about four years, so seeing snippets of it was nice...and I well-remember the bumper to bumper traffic, commuting to work in all that. We're all looking forward to your formal wedding!

FYI, concerning rental car insurance usually you are double covered. #1 from the credit card you used to pay for the rental has built in car insurance and #2 your existing car insurance usually covers the rental (check with your carrier).

A late welcome to my home state!. Atlanta traffic is bad, which is why I wouldnot drive there myself. The traffic in my part of the state is bad enough but Atlanta ughhh.
Tell Josh to find the peaches, he would need to head further South to my part of the state. When you have time, Google Lane Packing and Southern Orchards. It is a huge peach orchard and store.
It's really close to Warner Robins. They sell their peaches, homemade peach ice cream and Georgia souvenirs there.

Kasey I had something traumatic happen to me. I cried every day for about 3 years. It might seem unorthodox what I'm about to share but I'm an uptight Catholic who had no other choice. EMDR therapy did not help. And everyone said that it would. I ended up doing MDMA psychotherapy. My sister said for the first time the next day I didn't cry. ❤️
Living in Georgia I know Atlanta traffic is almost always bad. We always hate going through Atlanta.

I don’t mean to laugh, but welcome to Atlanta! And to think that in some ways traffic isn’t as bad as it was pre-COVID. Granted it appeared your were in an atypical jam if you were completely stopped.
Talking about break downs at weddings. My husbands sister got married august 2021. While we were at the wedding, one of her aunts asked me to video the father daughter dance. I was doing okay for a bit then couldn’t take it. My dad passed away April 2020. I just got married last month. So all I could think about while watching her dance is how I wouldn’t have a father daughter dance. We did some memorial stuff for my dad at my wedding but I’ll say my sister took it the hardest at my wedding, and it was also of course hard for my mom and I.

Definitely dispute the chard for the rental car you didn’t get. The line is just unrealistic and you shouldn’t have been expected to wait in it for pre-paid car.

Don't pay for that car that you didn't get! You KNOW they turned right around and rented it to someone in that huge line that didn't have a reservation. Dispute the charge with your credit card company.
