I didn't know Wendy had been in CROSSROADS actually......I remember her once in EMMERDALE FARM once with Frazer though. I think it might have been in the late 1980s ?
I know I haven't been to a convention since I met Sylvester, Sophie and Michael Sheard, had a cuddle with Sarah Sutton and got a signed photo of Jon Pertwee but please could they give the guests a decent microphone, I am aware that the size of the hall may have something to do with the sound quality, but surely there's better mic tech nowadays.
I am sure it sounded fine if you were on the room but a smartphone is never going to capture good audio from a situation like this, the acoustics of the room are a big factor. Only way to do it is to capture it from a direct feed.
The only thing I remember about the SPACE PIRATES as a 6 yr old in 1969 is me still shivering with fright & trepidation from the Seeds of Death one week earlier.....lol....But I also remember one other frightening sequence in it ...Where the Doctor was underneath the boosters of a space rocket about to lift off & he was in danger of being incinerated by the rocket fuel flames. Good question about if you missed an episode of the Television there were no replays & not even people in the production could see them. Terrible that the BBC threw so much away like that. In one sense the Dr. Who Movies Jennie was in with Peter Cushing had an advantage in that as cinema productions they were more safely preserved for posterity.
