Thank you very much for posting this video. Both rear axle bearings on my easy go golf cart or bad and the dealer quoted $675. After watching this I don’t think I’ll have any problem doing it myself. I found the bearings with seals and rings on Amazon.
@@candacetimphony4299 not on a bad boy, but I have rebuilt several full sized axles. Its not to bad, but you will need a bearing separator and a press. Just make sure all the shims go back where they came from and make sure you torque the pinion nut and bearing caps to spec.
Quick question, after getting the new bearing on axle, does bearing spin jerky, mine is not smooth after installing, not sure if these aren’t the right bearings or if it’s normal for them to feel jerky and not spin smoothly?
Sorry to not be of help on that, I haven’t messed with the front bearings. On the Bad Boy they would be different as it has a solid front axle and 4wd.
I didn’t really lubricate the bearings with wd40, but I did use it to get them to slide on more easily. But at the end of the day, hammering the bearings on, is probably the bigger sin. Its a Bad boy buggy, its not fast, even for a golf cart and my dad runs in in mud and water, so those bearing are not the last ones we will put on. You are correct that wd40 is not good for bearing, it does still help them slide, especially when I didn’t have any silicon at the shop. Thanks for watching Rank Amateur Garage!

Have you ever dealt with noise coming from the differential? sounds like bad brake
grinding.

Did you grease up that bearing before install?
Nevermind, seen they are sealed. Thanks for video, it was big help!
Do you have a part number for the bearings and seals? My Buggy is a 2008 Classic.
I do not as this is my pops buggy and he bought the parts. I will see if he still has the notes on it.

It should be smooth.
Good video thank you
So helpful thank you!
Glad I could help.
Where can I get the bearing and seals
Sorry I just saw this, I am pretty sure dad ordered them from amazon.
Thanks 😊
Didn't know Jack Black did this kind of work 😅
I get that all the time, we are about the same shape and all, but I am way taller. Lol I consider it a compliment.
How to golf cart bearings (front)

Good
WD40 is not a lubricant and is actually horrible for bearings.
