King’s Garage
Приєднався 6 вер 2016
This channel covers what I am working on in the garage. I prefer old gas burning 4x4s. I will cover repairs, detailing, and off roading. I am definitely in to Jeeps and Gm, but I have owned Japanese and German cars. I tend to like impractical and unusual stuff. Not into hybrids or electrics, but if you are, great. I love working on and maintaining the old beasts. I also have a passion for detailing cars and trucks. I have changed my name to fit more of what I do and my experience.

Eastwood internal frame coating
Переглядів 552Рік тому
I used Eastwood’s internal frame coating to stop rust. Its really easy but can be very messy if your not careful. Basically you need a few can to seal up the inside of your frame, unibody, or hard to get at places. Its thin and soaks into the rust and dirt. I always use black, but you can also get it in green.

I chased the problem with the stalling on the van in the fuel system but it looks to be in the ignition system. All that was needed was an 8 mm socked and ratchet. I would recommend brake clean, electrical connection cleaner, and dielectric grease as well.

Is this a Jk?
@@jeremysyrop4552 no it is a tj, but being a 241, it would be the same.
Didn't know Jack Black did this kind of work 😅
I get that all the time, we are about the same shape and all, but I am way taller. Lol I consider it a compliment.
Does this work for 2011 overland
@@adrianlopez3023 I would assume the internals in the door would be very similar, it should.
Did this on my girlfriends jeep, the whole thing broke apart and messed it up even more.. thanks
Sounds like yours may have had more than a dead motor. What kind of Jeep you working on?
Good
No discussion of getting the shroud off?
Sorry, and its been 7 years since I have worked on a liberty, so I can’t be much help with that. My appologies.
Thanks! It works
Great!
What tool is that? What else can we use? Thanks
Its actually the motor I used. You could use anything that would fit to raise the window.
best way to fix it is not buy a Chrysler product!
I am sure it will work on your Ford too.
@@Kings_garage nah, old school manual windows. no problems 🤣🤣
So helpful thank you!
Glad I could help.
Thanks for the video, found it easy with that video
I am glad I can help!
Please let this work my window motor just went out ugh
Fingers are crossed!
This is the BEST video on Jeep TJ Clutch master slave cylinder replacement I have found after hours of searching, thank you so much!!
I appreciate the comment and I am glad it helped you out.
It didn’t move
Sorry I couldn’t help more.
You didn't show any detail!!
Sorry I didn’t have that forethought 7 years ago. I will do my best in the future.
Stfu all these years and I didn’t think of this 😅
Haha! Some times I cone up with an idea!
Great!
Thank you so much for this video! This was exactly what I needed 👍
I am glad I can help!
You certainly did brother!
Hey again. When you did the conversion, did it include an aftermarket wiring harness? Or stock wiring? My wiring on my 04 rubicon is rusty and hacked up from previous owner putting crappy chinese leds in it. Gotta love new england. What region are you? Your TJ looks super clean. I was thinking of going with the Rampage Products H4 housings. Gotta figure out a wiring/harness solution.
I live in the middle of Illinois, and I am pretty religious in cleaning my Jeep. I did not use any wiring harness. I used auxbeam led bulbs and Hella e code housings. Many years later they are still going strong. In fact I use the same bulbs in my Cherokee and Astro. They have increased in price since then, but I feel they are worth it.
@@Kings_garage Update: found that companies make harness repair kits, they include new bulb connectors with pigtail attached, which you splice to your good wiring, cutting out the bad section. Then i plan to get the KFabSuspension upgrade harness, it supplies higher voltage to headlight bulbs, more important when using halogen bulbs. The stock XJ/maybe TJ headlight power goes through the headlight switch I read, and there is quite the voltage drop on the way to the bulb. The harness upgrade makes your headlight switch control relays, which then send power direct to headlights from battery. Led's may be in the future afterwards. It would be nice to have readily replaceable H4 bulbs. The amount of choices in LED's is overwhelming.
Do you have a part number for the bearings and seals? My Buggy is a 2008 Classic.
I do not as this is my pops buggy and he bought the parts. I will see if he still has the notes on it.
Show it up so I know it works
Sorry, no can do, that ride has been replaced 4 times over. I wish I could change it.
Big thanks. This helped me fix the driver side window on my 99 cherokee sport
Happy to be of assistance!

Very nice, this sold me on the H4 conversion, im gonna do it.👍
I have had these for years and I still run them and love them.
Damn bro why you so out of breath? Jesus made it hard to watch .
How did you like the lift kit?
Its my second 3 inch from zone. I love it.
It perfect for 31s very minor trimming.
@@Kings_garage awesome! How's the ride quality? I ordered one yesterday after watching your video.
@@rudysolis4204 its a bit more stiff than what I replaced but I like it. I had a broken leaf spring and they were flat. It rides so much better than before.
Next time, cut the upper vent brace 1/4" plastic so you don't have to cut in to the air ducts makes it easier
I legit wish I would have thought of that! Thank you for the input to make it better!
I'm curious down the road, say 5 years from now, will the product still be holding up? Or will it need to be touched up again? Will oil spraying hurt the product? I seen a video on UA-cam where a gentleman sprayed a petroleum product on a rust converter and product immediately failed. I'm afraid these products could cause more harm than good.
I have had good luck with product, there are several different types of products you can use. I did my wrangler 3 years ago, there wasn’t much rust to begin with but I have looked in the frame with my bore cam and it looks perfect. I honestly cannot speak to if you use this and then sprayed fluid film or something like it. I would think it would be double the protection but I am not an expert on it.
how do you like your LED headlights and what brand are they?
I hated them. They were dot approved trash. The brights just were like double bright low beams. I have hella ecode housings and auxbeam head lights now. I use them in my wrangler, 6 years and not a single problem. I like the stock look with leds. That is a sick combo. I had them in my old Cherokee too.
Thank you for your response.@@Kings_garage
Don't hang the weight of the axle assembly by the rubber brake hose! (rear axle)
That didn’t happen on purpose, the jack slipped on the diff. You are correct.
That sort of crap can happen to anyone.@@Kings_garage
A bad blower motor resistor that causes melted blower fuse ?
Its really the worn bushes on the blower motor that ruined the plug and the resister. When the bushes are worn it pulls more power, and thats what melts the plug.
Thank you tons for posting this it worked super well and saved me from having the shame of the black bag on my window 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I am glad I can help.
Did changing the ckp sensor solve your problems?
Actually no. It turned out my brand new gm fuel pump was bad.
I have a problem with my 08 jeep patriot, every time I want the dome lights on they don't work so I have to turn the turn signal to the right position for the dome lights to turn on can anyone help me with that problem?
Why not break the plastic off off that and turn the meatel component into a drill bit and just roll it up that way
Honestly I never thought of it.
Or you could just use a wrench!!
This is true.
Good video👍🏻
Thank you.
Spent too much time talking about nothing and didn't show how to remove door panel. Total waste of time.
Did you grease up that bearing before install?
Nevermind, seen they are sealed. Thanks for video, it was big help!
You didn’t show dog shit. My pos keep Liberty 2006 has 0 and I mean 0 room for me to physically get the wheel hub off
I apologize, I don’t have a dog anymore. I also didn’t remove the wheel bearing to replace the wheels studs, so I cannot comment on that. Thanks for leaving your comment for Rank Amateur Garage, its all in the name.
@@Kings_garage sorry about that man I got it fixed now but Jesus Christ was that wheel hub a b*tch
That flat spot means the wheel feel off to me
It did. The owner found the wheel about a mile down the road. He had the tires rotated at Walmart if i recall correctly.
@@Kings_garage ya I did that once it wasn't that far for me tho I just cam back the next day with 6 new studs and lug nuts and got it back going
Quick question, after getting the new bearing on axle, does bearing spin jerky, mine is not smooth after installing, not sure if these aren’t the right bearings or if it’s normal for them to feel jerky and not spin smoothly?
It should be smooth.
Do you think this could be causing my lights to come on sometimes when my patrios off. The blinker has also been acting strange. Either this or tipm which is Hella pricey
That is a possibility. I have had similar problems in other vehicles.
Video didn’t help at all
Hi, thanks for the tip! was the motor the problem? and how did you know it was the motor? my window is stuck all th way down. All the other windows work.
My problem was the motor. The motor was dead and would do it, so I replaced it and it was good.
Man that absolutely got the window up till I get the replacement. Thanks for sharing this 🙌
Thank you and glad it could help!
What tool can I use? Thanks
How to golf cart bearings (front)
Sorry to not be of help on that, I haven’t messed with the front bearings. On the Bad Boy they would be different as it has a solid front axle and 4wd.
Good video thank you
Let me ask you this bro… I bypassed the safety start thing on the push rod so I don’t plan on installing it. Do I need to install the foam and plastic o-ring? Also how did you get that safety thing off of the original push rod?
To remove the switch there is a white clip on the top, remove it and it will slide right off. I would still install the plastic and foam washer, but I would also still install the switch it has another function od shutting off cruise control when the clutch is depressed. Depending on your year, Jeep has a procedure to temporarily disable the clutch. There are several different ways depending on the year.
Thank you very much for posting this video. Both rear axle bearings on my easy go golf cart or bad and the dealer quoted $675. After watching this I don’t think I’ll have any problem doing it myself. I found the bearings with seals and rings on Amazon.
