Insight: when the QC was "created" it was on the tag line, communities joined by a river. As a lifelong resident of 62 years, I define the area more as the conglomeration of communities on the Mississippi. I understand that the outliers love to be enveloped in the QC community! I now live in Port Byron, IL and often say that I live in small town just north of the QC.

That's a great insight. I'm glad you shared it. I don't always hear about all the nuisance in the QC

Interesting list. Don't understand Dewitt and Wilton being on the list, I guess it has to do with new builds rather than proximity. Same with Port Byron, back in the day we called it Port Boring, it was pretty much a speed trap on the way to Cordova drag strip. I get LeClaire to a certain extent, certainly American Pickers didn't hurt it's growth. I do understand Davenport, to some extent and Rock Island not being on the list. It's where the majority of the criminal element resides. I'm guessing nothing has changed much. Unless you are on the hill in those 2 cities, guessing it's still that way. I know when I was in high school back in the 70s Rock Island and Davenport both had police roaming the the halls and it still wasn't safe. Kinda don't understand Coal Valley not being on the list BUT, I'm guessing it hasn't grown much and there really is nothing to do there.
