Accuracy is basically 2 parts. 1 part velocity spread and the other is barrel harmonics. Seating depth comes into play but mostly for the bench rest and sniper folk.
You did pretty good. that front sight isn't a target sight, It is for combat shooting.. It is for combat shooting. (It's a Inverted "V") and it will play tricks on you. peace out dude. Dave
It boils down to vertical stringing (don't get distracted by horizontal deviation). Take the load that has the smallest verticle spread and use that to hone into the sweet spot (this is referred to ladder load).
I use the exact same bullets and brass but instead of 4064 I use 50 grains of Ramshot big game. The velocity I have chronographed is 2480 to 2530 fps. My rifle is a modern JP sauer S100 in 8x57mm. Will shoot sub MOA as its a cold hammerforged barrel.
They are good bullets and seem to the best for me of everything that I have tried. Thanks for the info, I need to get other powders as 4064 is non-existent these days. 👍👍
Would you like to try some of the new 240g Cast from the mold I just got? Its gonna be a while before Im able to test them. My contact information is in my about page. Happy ta send ya some!
@@kyfirearms Scotsman hooked me up with snail mail contact info for you. Ill get a box together. Any other calibers ya might like ta try some cast bullets in?
The 43.5 looked good. 👍 Try that one again, chrono numbers don’t always prove groups. 👍🕺🏻🇺🇸
Thanks👍👍 I am going to load some more and try them in another rifle.

Thanks. The front sight is hard to pick up on that black target. I appreciate you. 👍

@kyfirearms Ramshot powders are also about 100$ cheaper for an 8 Lb jug vs IMR.

@@cw2a Thank you, very generous. I don't cast for rifle, so maybe just 308 for 30-06. Thanks again 👍
