As for the 9.7 matches being uptiered, I followed up more. It seems the chance of getting uptiered is rare, but it IS there. Some folks have seen them, some haven't. I suppose for now your odds are still good.
How do you get the green HUD stats? Mine are only white, but I see other UA-camrs having green.

It's ridiculous that the MiG-19 is the same BR as the F-4E and MiG-21MF. Considering the huge jumps in performance in the Cold War I don't know why everything is so compressed rn

Well for starters you're using an aircraft designed to be a ground attacker as an Air superiority fighter...... Just saying
su-7 was a multipurpose, not strictly a ground pounder.
@@shrekrecker aye but mainly used in the ground attack role, the Su -9 being the missile armed interceptor derivative.
I fact it we due to it's poor performance as a low altitude fighter that it's design was switched to a fighter-bomber/ground attack aircraft in the SU-7B variant.
A ground attacker that comes with no loadout stock, so yeah, it's basically forcing you to play as a fighter
So then why did Gaijin put in in the interceptor line and not under the Il-28s? If Gaijin wanted a ground attacker they could have easily gone with the Su-7BKL that actually has AGMs.
And still, if you want to use this aircraft for its "intended" purpose, CAS, you are pretty much forced to use it as an Air superiority fighter for a ton of matches, because you know, stock grind

I have confirmation from multiple folks right now, DEFYN, Potato and one other guy in my discord all experienced it. I haven't played, it sounds like its a bit more rare....
@@WhooptieDo maybe it is specific planes... an example (in my experience) is the jewtour, it gets mostly downtiered, other 9.0s see 9.7 a lot. I just hope for a max br difference of .7 at top tier at this point
WhooptieDo Ive played at least 100 games of 10.3 since the patch came out and in my matches the only 9.7s or below Ive seen were in squads. It might be possible now but it still seems extremely rare if you're solo queueing.

It's amazing in Ground forces to be fair. It can carry 4x500kg bombs that drop one at a time, and can carry 4 S-24's, plus if you take it out at 9.7 Ground BR which gets a fair share of downtiers nowadays, no enemy fighter can catch you.
It was used as a ground attack aircraft more than air to air battles after all...
I finally bound my elevators to keys because of what I’ve seen people like you pull off, and honestly my gameplay improved tenfold.

The SU-7 is a big aircraft, it was designed as a bomber hunter but did way better as a ground strike aircraft. The SU-7 had issues with maneuvering at all speeds, it was a struggle bus in real life

The chances of getting an uptier is rare.
Well one persons enjoyment of having more advantages than disadvantages over a subsonic jet can also be another person’s misery. There are way better ways to balance an aircraft than to make it face inferior opponents 90% of the time.

First of all great video I always learn something new from you when I watch your videos. Also I would like to hear you're opinion on Germany 8.0 air rb. I've been flying out my Me 262 C-2B and it's been super difficult to stay in the skies. Trying to dodge missiles is nearly impossible for me because of the lack of manverbiltiy needed to dodge them is not present on this aircraft, but I'm sure you might fair better off than me in that regard lol. But I would appreciate some tips or strategies to combat this situation. Thanks WhooptieDo
C2b got a decent nerf awhile back, the boosters don't last as long and 108s don't do the same damage they used to. I do have a tutorial for it though, it was one of my first ones I ever did, so it's buried deep.
Finally, was anticipating this. I was actually thinking about buying this plane, but now I won't since it faces supers,which sucks. Guess I'll have to wait and see if they make BR changes.

9.7 is fun I get downtiered most of the time and I absolutely love the SU-7B and especially the S-3K’s

It sucks that the cap was removed, but I tried playing the mig 15 today and the only plane I died to over 4 games was an f-104. I dont really think that they could avoid it unless they make 9.3-9.7 a special matchmaker for only those brs

I'm going to call it now, update 2.00 is going to add BVR combat and increase the BR cap. They're improving the radar system and adding more low level supersonics in preparation for that.

I'm so happy the F-104 isn't behind the F-100 in the US tech tree, finally a supersonic that I actually have a chance to get soon. Also the 104 is just one of my favorite planes so I want to get it regardless of how good it is. 9.7 for the F-104 seems too low imo, I was facing it in a sabre and the only possible attack window I had was when he was landing. But it's just not fun to strafe people on the runway. Speaking of the 104, I think it's bad now, but it will become much better as faster planes and better missiles are added.
The early 104's (the A and C variant for america and I think J in the japanese tree) are fine at 9.7 imo. Their engines have roughly 2000kg of thrust less which makes them kinda useless at 10.3 (10.0 match making doesnt exist). You just dont have any edge over the enemy. You climb roughly the same or worse than phantoms and migs, you're less maneuverable than them, your acceleration is actually worse than migs and on top of that all you have are aim-9B which are poo. on the other hand at 9.7 you have a lot better climb rate and speed than almost everybody else... But you're rarely going to kill anything since you cant really turn lmao. Its such a weird plane, but its super fun in sim, you can actually do great work in there since it has an actually working radar sight, which makes aiming very easy and if you sneak up on your target you can even make the missiles work cause there is no missile warnings in sim
@@kamilpiotrowicz248 What you're saying makes sense, and I also don't think they're OP. I just don't think they should face 9.0's when they can out-speed 9.0's while on 0% throttle. It's just not a fair matchup. The only time for 9.0's to actually have any sort of firing opportunity is when they are landing, and "Runway Strafe Thunder" is not a fun game at all.
@@Agent-ic1pe Oh yeah. There really should be a br for planes like 104, su-7, f-100 and planes like that. A match making for a bit crappier supersonics would be the answer since those planes are either clubbing when downitered or being clubbed in uptiers, nothing in between, fingers crossed gajin actually gives a damn :D
@@kamilpiotrowicz248 oh yeah 500kmh faster on deck and 1000 kmh faster at alt vs 9.0s and 9.3s and also have much better accel than them yep not op at all. Its hard to get kills with but it shouldnt fight 8.7s regardless. Rather have it be shite than stomp everything

But then again, I am a guy who uptiers A5 sabre to 10.3 because dealing with supersonic lobby is easier than flying against G91's

hey I have this weird glitch where when I'm in the phantom and i press F on the keyboard it activates the target point for bombing and i go to my key binds and it doesn't say i have anything binded to it. Does anyone else have this glitch?
when u aim at the floor only and not the sky? i do it all the time and its so distracting. also dont know why u cant dive bomb with f4e anymore. always says bomb release permission.

WhooptieDo it hurts to hear you ignore the starfighers cause you might be one of the few planes in the match who could take care of them.
They take care of themselves when they run out of fuel. It's a waste of mine to chase them and they're very easy to defend against
Idk what all this hype about starfighters being op is about, if you have aim9bs you can reversal and get a pretty much gauranteed kill. A third of my kills. in the german 86k are like this.
Chinese and French F-100 are 9.7 btw, also F-104A and F-104C are 9.7... I don't see any uptiers in this video.

Nope, I just flew it before the current meta. It was a blast. Maybe 20 out of those thousand kills are AI. I have C2b videos buried in my library from back then if you're curious.
C2b was a god back in the golden age of german jets, silver age of jets in general.

Astral Plane will try to get again, but had my left wing just get destroyed with holes in it while in a light pull, no g warnings of any kind, no enemies behind me, had just fired ahead at an enemy, and it ends up being a crash, no kill credit. This is me going in with stock guns in at super sonic and exiting before the turn.

Su-7B is originally attacker.... if i get Su-7B, i'll get 4x500kg bomb load and bomb to get other modules.. except M61, every gun with jet battle is pain..

Yeah i know... Su-7 was proceeded to Su-9 and to Su-11, Su-15 while Su-7B proceeded to Su-17 series and Su-24...
I just think Su-7 performs much better irl, I just can not belive that this plane is such a whale even with almost same contruction as Mig-19 and even with bigger wings.
The Su-7B is around 8.3 tons, and its engine is 2.2 tons! The MiG-19 is 5.4 tons, and its engines are 1.5 tons.

Why did gaijin change the loadout selection? I know it looks like this in DCS world but here it is ridiculous. It is inconsistent with the other drop down items and feels really uncomfortable. It just spreads the same information over greater area and adds nothing new. I often end up with the wrong loadout because I click on the picture instead of the text. If this needs to stay there at least the picture should be clickable.

You survived likely because they ran out of aim9js lol. I say that because that's the only time I've had success in it lol

Well, I don’t play War Thunder. Perhaps I ought to, and I’m wondering how much RL is reflected in WT. In any event, I’ll give you my feedback in terms of RL experiences. Of course you’re not going to fight a MiG-21 with an Su-7, at least not the way you want to. IRL, when flying the the Fitter, 104 or Phantom...any jet set up that way, the pilot exploits his speed to make high speed passes, or converts to a tail chase without (hopefully) being seen then separates as fast as he can. Getting slow and entering a turning engagement will get you killed against a more maneuverable adversary, especially a Fishbed. Is WT more RL, or is it an arcade game that rewards numbers of kills? Probably the latter. IRL, if you survive an engagement, that’s a win. In WT, I suspect you have to be willing to get shot down, a lot, to rack up as many kills and points as possible, which makes the more patient, one kill a game approach by not trying to turn with a 21 counterproductive to racking up a lot of points. I’m wondering what your thoughts are on my comparison between winning IRL vs. WT.
WT isn't very realistic. Maybe around the prop genre it can be, but top tier right now (which this bird unfortunately joined) its a point and click adventure. 12 on 12 combat on very small maps. Most folks have aim-9js or equivalent and only the Phantoms have counter measures. It's not realistic at all, even more so when you have jets that are two generations apart fighting each other.
If you play right now, stay away from jets, at least top tier. There is no skill involved, no logic just point, click, die, repeat
