I only really noticed when you went to plan your route to the academy, but the roundtable is full. Will, Gallica, Strohl, Grius, Hulkenberg, Neuras, Hiesmay, Junah, Eupha, Basilio... Finally, every tribe coming together for a better future.
Basilio raised some good points about Will's Prince Impersonation Plan. Rella had a WILD first day as a candidate. I didn't expect that turn from her. Louis probably knows Will isn't the prince and doesn't care. I knew Neuras would make the ship fly eventually, but I didn't expect it to be so awesome. Kind of disappointed that Mage Academy wasn't a full dungeon. I wonder if the other Chromatic Dragons will show up at some point. Basilio is OP.
Never have I seen a playthrough that understand how important debuffs are and at the same time will not use the debuff class. Basilio is out here talking like he's in an infomercial: "There's got 'ta be a betta way!"
Every guide I ever looked up on this game all seems to agree on ONE thing: For the time you're currently at, Sogne the Icebound is the undisputed hardest boss you'll face up to this point! Rella's assistance no doubt assists in that!
@@felixtran6601 Well, the Mindbreak Hammers would work in normal cases but not this time, there's also the fact that as long as Rella is still active, if Sogne does NOT have a Quartz Wall up when it becomes the enemy turn, she(Rella) will ALWAYS put another Quartz Wall up if the inital wall is gone!!! This will continue until the next Phase of the fight! Personally for me, I focused on being either resisted or immune to Ice & Frostbite! Bringing Heismay along so that he can hopefully dodge hits also helped!
@@NeoDanomaruyea mindbreak hammer only works for makarakarn. I predicted that the fight would be weak to fire due to the cold climate so I was running a mage build. Lowk could've prepped with ice and frost immunity, but I just resorted to strike weakness stacking with berserker, press turns with wizard, buffs with general, and tanking with dark knight.
honestly i when i was playing this part of the game i wasnt really planning on using basilio but man wanton destruction or whatever its called is so broken, it literally saved my ass from the dragon when rella casted makarakarn

I got extremely lucky going into this boss fight, especially since I ignored all the warning signs of this being a boss fight like an idiot and thought the Mage Academy was going to be another dungeon. Had Samurai Strohl with a Charge igniter, Basilio, Cleric Junah, and Soul Hacker MC up front, and the fight rapidly deteriorated into Strohl and Basilio whacking the frozen lizard as hard as they could while Junah healed and MC spammed items. Least the magic barriers didn’t do a thing to me.
@king81992 I sure feel like it is, consistent debuff application is strong in Atlus games Although there are people who think you should farm items and use them instead (but tier 2 Faker has an op skill that applies -2 atk and def, I don't think there is an item with similar capabilities, plus this archetype also has Debilitate so yeah)
@@king81992 On top of the various debuffs, there’s also Faker’s Roguery… Anything that changes the action economy in a turn-based rpg is huge, and even though this skill is not 100% reliable, in my experience it works in my favor most of the time
@@arthorias06 Summoner and other archtypes have synth attack that give -3 attack levels, -2 defense, etc while also doing decent damage. That is why faker isn't really overpowered, deblitate in this game is just pretty good, not amazing. (and one you hit end-game, you can buy evil eye talismans to replace it for 2k money)

In my LP when I seen these thorns when he was not able to use magic I was Like:"WHY IT HAD TO BE RELLA?!" I was so sad and shocked at a same time, how about you Johne?
Something I did during the first phase was always use the last turn icon to intentionally get hit by a reflected magic attack, thus making it so rella would continuously put that barrier back up and waste a turn icon.
Spoilers for the episode below The coolest thing about the Rella plot twist is how when you look back we always had reasons to suspect her but our biases made it unfathomable The reasons we believed Louis cursed the Prince was because the perpetrator had to be a child with advanced magic skills and a motive to attack the royal family, but Rella filled those requirements just as well as she was stated to have been a super child prodigy and shown to be at the whims of the church whose leaders expressed a clear desire to take over the country. Our bias for har what's so strong that most people still didn't suspect her even though Louis was out of the picture, Forden was revealed to be involved In the attack, we were reminded she was a child at the time, and we were told how her father would become very distressed whenever people started to suspect the church Atlus played us like a damn fiddle
@arthorias06 what I mentioned may not be a strong enough reason to immediately call someone's attention but it is clear enough that one would see it if they were looking, like if someone questioned if Louis actually did it and started looking for other suspects. I've seen only a single let's player doing that

The biggest argument against Rella being the assassin is pointed out by Hulkenberg here: she's the one who stopped the curse from killing the prince outright. Of course, this is another secret hint: of course she'd know how to save him because it's her curse

Just use Magic Knight and Berserker here. I one shot this boss with the AOE elemental guard of Magic Knight plus Berserker dealing damage. You have to make sure you heal Hulk and her synthesis partner MP when you run out

the protagonist being voiced was definitely a step in the right direction, but i wish he had actual real dialogue. it kinda disappointed me when strohl did most of the talking on the stage last episode and hulkenburg did most of the talking when introducing us as "the prince"
In all fairness, he actually does talk a lot outside of our given dialogue options, at least when compared to the very minimal non-optional dialogue of past protagonists in their games but yeah it is still pretty minimal. More often than not he'll only speak unprompted for sentences at a time, and any dialogue that goes on for several is usually introspective and unvoiced.

Will is still an inexperienced kid, Strohl is a noble of a fallen village, so of course he will be the voice of the team. He has a lot of wisdom to give and also a great strategist. Will did need some more independent voice lines outside cutscenes.
Oh yeah, Charge and Hyper (concentrate for this game) seem to have a translation error.

Wanton Destruction + Charge combo carried me through the rest of the game. It absolutely rips bosses to shreds thanks to the weakness it grants

Out of all the required bosses in the game Sogne is the hardest one other than arguably the final boss.
