He did a run attack with a GREATSWORD, I REPEAT; HE DID A RUNNING ATTACK WITH A GREAT SWORD! *dies*
He blocked while moving too.
Also don't forget,He missed the first swing
@@om_ikis So Great sword mains still be Greatsword mains
Like the opening of the first Monster Hunter
Not being stationary all the time with the GS it's a good thing in my book.
Best thing was being able to have a secondary weapon attached to your mount that you could switch to almost immediately
Two Heavy Bowguns for sure.
The only downside is way later in the game it’s not really reasonable to swap between a melee and ranged weapon due to how you invest in armour skills, unless they change that system completely so you can either save armour loadouts to the swap or armour has more skills than the usual 2-3
@@itsturniptime3699 I'm willing to bet that its more of a loadout change than just a weapon change.
@@itsturniptime3699 And you can just switch your whole build in the camp anyway.
@@itsturniptime36992 charge blades it is then, I’m not complaining
I'm honestly surprised he's still hung up on the open world idea, what I got from the blog/official MH Wilds website is it'll still have the traditional separated maps (aka locales) of previous MH games but you'll be able to stay behind after a completed quest and just naturally transition into another monster quest if you want to.
So rather than going full open world they are essentially combining the quest/expedition systems we had in MH World.
Yeah that's exactly the vibe I'm getting. It's going to be a more fleshed out and larger version of Guiding Lands from World.
@@home_taping I always got the feeling that the Guiding lands is what they originally wanted expeditions to be, but couldn't for whatever reason. Or maybe they took the original idea and fleshed it out far better, and Wilds will have an even further evolved system than the GL
Yep I thought the same. The blog says that the Windward Plains is the "first locale" the team will visit, implying a separation of locales.
World actually has the same option to stick around after a quest, it's just that hardly anyone used it. With a few QoL adjustments it could be the main way people play, though
I get the impression of PSO2 NGS. It's just one big map with different locales which to be honest I'm not really pumped if that's the case.
did anyone noticed that both , our hunter and palico got a VA???
Yeahhh I dunno how to feel about a talking palico haha but whatever! MH wilds is coming!
Palicoes have always been about to talk they’ve just never been voiced in the mainline games
Yes, I'm going to playing with the "Monster Hunter Language" voice option because that's how I rolled while playing Worlds and Rise.
I think i prefer meowing palico rather than speaking though
Yeah they mentioned that the cat and the hunter is now fully voiced in a press release(I hope you can turn the palico back to just meows)
I love how they’ve really leaned into the Monster Ecosystem. I can’t wait to see more details on it and how it affects gameplay.
Seasonal changes would be amazing to see such as winter and autumn.
Also we better have a home we can decorate again!
The story looks reaaaally boring sadly. Just generic cinematic trash and the cast of characters don't really have good design. There will probably be a lot more of those boring walking segments that World had too (and of course unskippable cutscenes that make replaying just awful).
@@thenonexistinghero those are all nitpicks at best and you don’t know anything about the story other than we’re in a new area looking for someone, something, or a group of someones. The characters look great, and they have an entire year to polish the frame rate stuff and any stiffness in animation. Don’t be a hater
@@thenonexistingherobro saw like 30 seconds at best of the story and is already making huge assumptions
@@thenonexistingheroidiot you’ve literally seen nothing from the story you can’t call it boring 😂
@@thenonexistingheromaybe wait for the game to come out before you talk about the story you've never seen? They showed mostly gameplay and one small scene lol
The clutch claw grabbing the slinger ammo is gonna feed families
I think it’s more like a slinger than clutch claw
@@mappaabyssrusher it said on the page as Hook Slinger
@@5at5unaso both but as one name?
@@manbat4582not clutch claw. They know Tenderise is HATED and would kill their own game putting it back in.
@@deetsitmeisterjd clutch claw minus tenderize?
The moment I saw the sandship.. Jhen Mohran?!??
Jhen or dahren mohran as siege monsters 🤞
Yeah the design is the exact same.
Fun fact, mentions of Jhen are actually in the code for MH Rise. Maybe they were testing some stuff for Wilds.
キャラクターもMH4と共通する服装をしているので、期待出来ますね
I'm so hesitant because I don't want to get helplessly addicted to another Monster Hunter again like I did with World alongside Max and everyone else lol
There is no escape
it is inevitable
It's FUTILE to resist.
Stop resisting... Let yourself go and continue the hunt...
Don’t resist it…
Succumb to it…
It won’t hurt you…
Let it embrace you in its arm…
So weird hearing a palico talk that isn’t from Stories
Palicos have always been able to speak to the hunter، felynes in general can talk , but never been voiced
@@khalil8043 Yeah that what I meant. Wonder if all of them will "talk" or will this Palico be like Navirou was in Stories where all other palico's meowed instead of him.
@@darklordjackal1742 yeah Idk about stories it's not cannon
@@khalil8043 I would love to properly fight some of those end game bosses that were in both games, but I doubt it.
I wonder if there'll be an option to switch between regular Palico speak just like the classic Monhun speak.
I can't believe we saw 2 characters from 4u
The blonde girl is 100% the Little Miss Forge from Harth because: the goggles + she wears the jacket from the fucking Caravanier
And the Lance Ace, he litteraly has the exact same hair, just older, less tanned + it would make sense for an Ace to become an official of The Guild considering they're among the best hunters
Imagine if Ace Cadet also shows up later.
LMF doesn't have any goggles in her key art, that's just a protective cowl lol
Also, people said the same thing about Minayle in rise loool
@LS95774 her dialogue suggests that she based her clothing style on someone she knew so I figured she was LMF's acquaintance.
She also has one of the Guildmarm's monster plushies on her belt
I'm waiting for Nagoonimations to cook up something spicy
I’m so hyped for Crocodile Gorilla, and Bear Dog.
Weapon swapping is an insane mechanic
Cool mechanic in MH games now, wouldn't say it's an "insane" mechanic. Lol
@@TheEthanGamer As someone who started playing MH on PSP with MH2, it is quite insane. World added a LOT of quality of life improvements to help bring in more players and just being able to swap weapons at the camp was a huge change up. Being able to take two weapons into the field and switch at will mid-hunt via your mount is indeed "insane" compared to what I was used to back in the day.
@@TheEthanGamer Given the variety and depth of MH's various weapons and overall combat, yeah, it kind of is, actually. It _dramatically_ alters how you're going to be able to approach hunts.
@@ShinKyuubi It's a cool new addition for sure, but it just seems a bit hyperbolic to say its an "insane" new feature, since it's a single step up from simply going back to your camp and switching weapons from there. Now if you could switch weapons on-the-fly, like actually switch you weapon right where you stand with out having to pull it out of your mount's bag or anything, THAT would be insane (and probably busted)
@@Mikedot Before World you didn't even have the option of switching at camp, you went to camp to sleep or deliver quest items like eggs and stuff...that was about it. There wasn't a tent to go in and swap things out or anything like that just what amounted to a big lean-to like thing with a big bed for four hunters to sleep on. Just being able to swap weapons at the camp was a huge step, not even having to go back to the camp is not as low key as your making it for someone who's played the older MH games. That's something we would have only dreamed of while hurling paintballs at monsters and having to worry about carrying bug nets and pickaxes that could break after a couple of uses.
WE GOING BACK TO FRONTIER MOVESET BOYS.
Just needs the huge blood splatters and hitstops lol
Two new features in weapon switching and mounted combat (Can you say Lance actually being able to Joust a monster?), and even that alone would make it top tier but the fact that they're teasing out the weather system slowly but surely is great to see. Hopefully if we get a trailer in Winter sometime it'll show off how the weather effects can change monsters.
Yeah, lance on mount would be awesome. I dabble between hammer and lance. So charging while on mount or running with lance on mount would be nice.
According to the official site the mount monster is called a "Seikret" and it can take you to places on the map or the objective. It also like the Palamute from Rise lets you sharpen and heal while riding it on top of being able to swap between your other weapon and use your Slinger while riding.
The OP combo of self-buffing with Hunting Horn, and then rapid shooting with the Bow.
I can't wait!
7:28 imagine doing that to Fatalis. I'm gonna cry 😭😭
yea but problem if Fatalis start fire breathing while block his mouth.. it will be new BBQ
Breaths fire 🔥
What's insane is that the hunter that u play as is fully voiced unlike rise/sunbreak where the hunter only talks during hunter actions, drinking potions or during gestures/emotes
Not insane at all, games have done it before.
@@thenonexistinghero I was mainly referring to the monster hunter series but I should have made that clear in my 1st comment my error
I actually hate that your hunter talks now, coz I want to feel like I'm the one talking to other npcs not the character that I control.
@@impakt0When do you ever feel like you are talking in an MH game, ever?
Every game makes you feel like a mute, all the NPC's seem to patronise and speak like a baby to you
I still think your hunter isn’t going to talk all that much. Keep in mind that past monster hunter games had like 10 to 20 different voices for both Male and Female players (plus the multiple different languages) so I highly doubt they’ll give full dialogued scripts for ton of people to say the same exact thing for the same characters.
Heres hoping because its a dessert setting we get Altha-Ka back in some form.
This is just one map. The whole game won't be in a desert.
It looks like we are very far from the civilization, entering these Forbidden lands with just a small team. If that's the case, makes sense the quests are not given by the guild or any other member in the village, maybe there's not even a village.
I'm betting we were the first fleet and was instructed to go in the forbidden lands and find a suitable place where other hunters can call it their home
@@theadmiral4157 What I got from the trailer is that we are going into these lands to rescue that kids parents. I think we will eventually colonize that land though.
@@matheusps92
This is just a random guess for me but I think that part of the main story is that Nata (the mysterious boy we saw) is looking to re-unite with his family who has secretly colonized in the Forbidden Lands.
@@Zerethos
That's a fun theory.
I think the kid is from a hidden tribe or village in the forbidden lands and we (the guild) is using him as a guide to enter the lands and possibly connect with the tribe.
God dammit the cat is talking and it's better than my English
Better than harry kane's for sure
Those weapon trailers will be nuts!!
They are nuts!
Seems like they took the concept of the Guiding Lands and applied it to the entire world, maybe in the form of seasonal changes in each region?
The language on the website still calls them locales. I think the maps are still separate.
I prefer them being separated. To make the transition from one biome to another, the map has to be pretty massive. Keeping the locales separate actually makes it feel much more natural.
Step 1) Open Game
Step 2) turn on Monster Hunter Language
This is the way.
Huh huh
10:59 I’m all for new hunting weapon types, but finally allowing two interchangeable weapons mid-hunts is a more welcome mechanic!
I'm hesitant on that. Feel like it's going towards a fast paced 'MH: Rise' kind of feel instead of a more reserved 'master your weapon' kind of deal.
was hoping the latter.
@@chwig7354 I don't really understand how this can make the game faster. You can probably only switch while mounted, or at least stood next to your mount (maybe only outside of combat). It's not like you're gonna be able to swing a greatsword and then switch mid-combo to dual blades. You can only use one weapon at a time. And from what we've seen so far, the GS moves have a pacing similar to World. I think the only real way the combat might feel faster is due to the mount being able to rescue you from a knockdown.
@@RoaringTide Greatsword Main here since the very first MH game. I think the pacing for the weapons will be similar to Rise and GU rather than World. It seems it'll have the adept-style charge forward from GU which does give it a little more speed and mobility. I think it'll be interesting to see how it unfolds. The bowgun on the saddle of the thing you ride seems the most interesting to me. As you said, what if only while mounted? As soon as you leave you go back to your main weapon. We have lots of questions and little answers.
@@strawberrysundaes When I said only while mounted, I didn't mean maybe you can ONLY use the secondary weapon while mounted. I meant maybe you can only SWITCH to it while mounted. You could still get off and use the secondary in that case. But my point was that if you can only switch while mounted, then I fail to see how that changes speed of combat. It would only change flexibility on a particular hunt (i.e. your secondary is better against a particular target). The actual speed would still be dictated by whatever your current weapon can do.
@@chwig7354tbh we have not seen a full 1-on-1 hunt yet. I think the combat will be waaaay slower, even if you still have some flashy moves.
What I’m more concern with is the bird Wirefall, bird sharpening and bird chugging. Dog sharpening and dog chugging was bad enough in Rise since it basically let you heal and sharpen while running at full speed. It should not return at all
11:30 They never said that there isn't a new weapon coming, just that the original 14 are returning. we still have from now until sometime 2025 whenever the game releases (and possibly the expansion (assuming we get one like past games)) to get confirmation. There is a chance that we genuinely get no new weapons, but I'm hoping for tonfa's.
I'm bout to rock my Glaive and Horn in the ready!
Absolutely no one:
Max at 0:31 - "DIRT BOAT" 😂😂😂
I feel that. I restarted playing with MH4U which began on a similar boat.
Remember what Max said bout Wilds’ graphics not looking like much of an upgrade to World in the teaser, because HOT DAMN THE GRAPHICS
Still not much of an upgrade tbh
Then was waffling about how graphics dont matter after Rebirth flop lmao. Fanboy is so fanboy
@@KuronDarklyits an upgade and will look even better in the release
I remember when he said it would be called world 2.
@@KuronDarkly Same here, I still feel like it's not much of an upgrade. Also not too fond of the character designs and story stuff so far (story just looks incredibly boring, more comparable to something like Assassin's Creed in how it's told).
I keep hearing about open world theories but I can't say I see that happening. I think the games are just gonna stick to the Hub and going on quests instead of giving an open world thing besides a sequel to the grinding lands.
I think the biomes are gonna be LARGE but still not open world... Just more comprehensive than Worlds.
Same here. The wording on the official website makes it seem like WAY bigger biomes, but still not open world.
You guys didn't pay attention to the part where the handler said " let this hunt commence, by order of the guild" that literally authorization to hunt the monster because you don't have one in the first place!! Meaning there's no quest counter, there's also the mention of "encounter" "discover " , this is not a normal monster hunter scenario where you take quests and hunt monsters, this is more like an expedition where you go discover the new locals
it sounds less like an open world and more like they'll integrate quests into expeditions from world, where you can finish a quest and still keep exploring or go into an expedition for a quest.
@@khalil8043 They could have literally been in the expedition quest to investigate a certain monster after finding its hints of it like world, there is literally no need to even mention what quest they are on inside a trailer. Encounter and discover has been there since 4U's expedition and world heavily used that concept in both monsters and locals. Also that line literally means nothing other than scenarios between: 1. The guild gave permission to hunt the monster on site if needed and It was deemed by the handler as too dangerous and must be subjugated at once or 2. a normal battlecry where people have that one liner that starts the fight. Many games and stories have that one dude that says "by the authority given by blah blah, we must hunt this blah blah" and similar lines like that commonly found in fantasy genres. Dunno why you think that's a gigantic revelation
Grinding lands was a sandbox test for this!
Good call
I knew the RE engine would make this game look godlike!!!
The monster and character designs…holy smokes the detail 🤯
For all the times Max has said “this is definitely a psp monster” and it’s from the 3DS, or how “there’s no way the next MH game won’t have the Monster Hunter World branding” I should remind everyone that if Max says “this is how I think the next Monster Hunter game will be” rest assured it will probably be the opposite XD
I love how this looks a little more modern than the other games. Like it takes place decades later.
I’ve seen people pointing out some of the characters we see might be Monster Hunter 4U characters but older, so this might be the first large time skip in the series! Some 10-20 years after World maybe.
Even the clothing, the handler outfit resembles a hoodie and the hunter set also looks more modernized
As far as i know, there is 10 years between each generation of games. So like mh1 was 40 years apart from world and such if i am not wrong.
Two Waifus? GOTY already
The clothes look so much better and Floppier, That's what I like, Also, Hopefully they add the Boomerang as a Weapon That would be cool
Personally I've been wanting the Tonfa from Frontier to make their way in.
Its same 14 weapon as in world
@@yangtsur Ah lame.
@@yangtsur Don't mean they can't pop in a new one and just not be telling us right now. Odds are it's likely just gonna be the same 14 but people have been wanting a new weapon for awhile now since Frontier had some different ones like the Tonfa and Magnetic Spike and then Monster Hunter Explore (a mobile game) added in the Accel Axe.
@@ShinKyuubi i certainly hope they put something new too

There’s def gonna be more gameplay of this at summer game fest, I’m curious about new weapons and monsters. Also where the story will go next. Ah leave it to Capcom to make bangers as usual 😏
11:35 It's been the same old stuff for a while. 10 years now to be exact. I think they wanna focus on the graphics and other new systems since it's their first next gen game.
Trailer 2 is confirmed for june 7th btw
My body is ready for another 5 year grind.
6:14 The hunter whistled for the Seikret at this point. It came running and automatically scooped the hunter up, it doesn't seem like a fast-recover type thing. Unclear too if it's active or passive behavior, like with Palicoes.
Yeah, it seems like a more involved "Let me Ride" action for the Palamutes in Rise. Seems to be able to pick the Hunter up off the ground if you get knocked down after calling for it.
Notice the Hunter whistled for his mount when he got hit 6:15. And whistled with his weapon out 6:45.
Well technically we weren't mute in Rise either. I guess we just chose to say nothing during cutscenes.
0:34 she reminds me of yang from rwby and Cindy from ff15 😅🤷🏾
4:18 - The website specifically mentions locales. So either open world with very, very discrete areas, or the standard of how we already have it.
I'm tending towards the latter.
funny physics glitch/sim issue happens to the hunters sleeves and the master(?)s coat 3:54
6:20 Not too surprising after World. Subspecies aside, and before any updates, the only returning monsters World had was Rathian, Rathalos, Diablos, Barroth, Uragaan, and Kirin. All other returning monsters that weren't a subspecies were either tied to an update or Iceborne.
Also lavasioth kushala and teostra
@@Stories-ji7lz ahh, my mistake, I forgot those were in the basegame before the title updates....not helped by Capcom having removed all the title update info from pre-iceborne from the MHW website
I think if there was a new weapon, they wouldn’t show it now probably it would be unlocked during the story even though I know that new weapons got showed off in trailers for the older games, but this is just a guess though
There was another video with the director and producer and they mentioned a new trailer for Summer Game Fest.
They also updated the promotional site for Wilds. There is info on almost everything they showed in the trailer as well as the name of the characters shown in the trailer
My Hunting Horn is throbbin with melodies of anticipation!!!
Idk about one big open world anymore.. at 9:28 when Max is reading about the "locales" like the "Windward Plain" & "other locales" sound like maps again.
If we are gonna get giant open maps then maybe, just maybe, we'll see a return of Dalamadur or Jhen Mohran
If you're a long time fan you might have noticed Little Miss Forged all grown up, wearing Caraveneer's jacket and with one of Guild Marm's plushies on her hip.
6:20 Max....there are literally a group of Goss Harag in the trailer
3:11 another video another day of max complaining about framerates
ARE WE GETTING THE GANG BACK TOGETHER FOR MH??
the BIG 4?? Mizu, Gammoth, Astalos and Glavenus?
The mh4 ultimate gang
I hope we don't have another Dragons Dogma 2 situation with the performance.
I can def see Q1 2025 ive heard from multiple sources(Take with grain off salt) but it would make sense to itll give them 2 years of dlc drops
2 expansions? The second one would be frontier lvl of crazy
@@agssilv5919 no u know the first year free monsters then expansion plus another year of free monsters
Might be a Destiny Style "Open World" with Large Areas synced up online so you can get help from randoms which is pretty good for this series
We are gonna have quest lists from a hub like always. They would never drop that. Seems more like they'll just expand what you can do during expeditions
Now I get why they call it "Wilds", meaning the Wild West. The motif and designs give it all away.
or just the wilderness. There's nothing cowboy about this, yet
Based on everything we know so far, the one thing going through my mind is "damn, ain't no way this game will run on my Steam Deck."
So we will Naturally get the second best Handler and simp for the best one....xD
I think that it's a good sign that it still has 6+ months to go. Even though it seems like it's not really close to done there is a lot that can be done in 6+ months especially with a large team. With that in mind I'm really excited to see how this will turn out.
3:02 This reminds me of a really old Mechanic from Vindictus, If you play Karok you can grab a enemy and hold him in place for a few seconds while your allies deal free damage to enemy
I feel the missions will be like world where you'll get told to explore X area and then encounter monster and return to base and repeat. Then the questboard works as normal if you fail or want to farm for parts.
One thing I'm iffy on is having two weapons. Cause some weapon builds are super different so when you go from Hammer to Gun will your armor/skills auto change to loadout 2 or swap your whole armor set? Will you have to make a build that works for 2 different weapons? Or Min max 1 weapon and make do with the secondary (Min Max on Hammer but start dagger to cut tail then bash head in)? Also still hopeful for a new weapon at some point in the future.
I don't know if it's just me, but I keep thinking that it is quite suspicious that on the rock in the "center of the map" when there is a storm, something or someone is permanently illuminating it. New Ancient Dragon Maybe?
That noise right here 2:45 is highly reminiscent of Beyond Oasis sword slashing on the Sega Genesis/Saturn it's modified but sound like it so much
In this trailer, we got new counter attack for great sword, Alma made everyone think she's the world handler in her 30s. We also got the ace lancer getting someone to do an expedition. Overall, MH wilds is promising

@@Mare_Man Exactly 🤣
I love the variations in monster hunter games right now. We have World with it's insane environments and content filled gameplay and than we have the pocket huge game of Rise with very fast moving combat and quicker fights.
It seems like there will still be zones, but larger than world. At least I think that is what their site says
Dude Todd Haberkorn is VA for the hunter. That’s awesome
It looks like secondary weapon is attached to mount. I wonder if it's like swapping between Switch Scrolls in RiseBreak? Also, I did anyone else notice that he had a grapple early in the trailer, and that he launched the flare from his wrist? I don't see a Slinger, so maybe they've improved on that technology? New attacks for weapons make me hopeful that modular movesets are coming back. C'mon, Capcom, even if you take away Blast Dash, at least give us Gunlance mains some form of mobility!
She Tobi my Kidachi till my monster rises
This is how sequels should be made. take parts from previous entries, tweek them as necessary then add the sauce that makes it unique.
The way the Palico talks reminds me of a Digimon companion, and I am HERE FOR IT
I am not and i hate it, i don't need my cat yapping 24/7.
@@Foogi9000 That sucks.
@@thesamuraiman It's all fun and cool for the first 50+ hours but what about the next 500+? These aren't games where you stop after 100 or so hours and often a character can go into the literal thousands of hours. Do you want to hear the same dialogue over and over for your entire playthrough? Especially if it's just constantly spewing cat puns? With previous games it was better because they sounded like cats and there was a charm to that.
i never thought i’d see the day where watching greatsword gameplay didn’t feel like watching ryu
As a greatsword main I’m excited to be able to carry 2 great swords in each hunt!
His view of the Playstation Blog didn't have the accompanying images that really helped visualize some of the changes.
For example
The "Focus Mode" images showed red scoutflyes hovering over different body parts. The hunter hit one part with a "Focus Mode" attack, then "dragged" the weapon to an adjacent scoutfly marked body part (in the trailer, from the head to the arm. In the blog, from the head to the rear leg).
I recommend going back and looking at the blogpost yourself or their main website for more visuals if you want more
2:45
I dub that that G.S. move "The Can Opener"
The hits don't look like they make the same impact.. yet. But it does look awesome! I can't wait.
Day 1 buy, let me pre-order!!! 😫
We need cross play... The Ability to trade weapons and armors and materials.
7:27
This reminds me of Exoprimal's Roadblock interaction, where a triceratops charge gets stuck in their shield and the two enter a stalemate until either a shield bash Roadblock wins via an ability use or shield break where shield health (likely to be run out of stamina in MonHun) runs out. Looks like well be getting that for at least Greatsword (Lance, GLance and Chargeblade, cause I'd eat my hat if Lance doesn't get a cinematic block when Greatsword does)
It such a unique interaction, the option to hold a monster still for several seconds at least gives shield based weapons an excellent tool for other player's dps.
[Speculation not expectation]
Likely, each guarding weapon will have a conditional counter. GS needing enough stamina to charge their counter, CB needing phials, GL needing one of its alt fire (Wyvernfire or wyvernstake, perhaps selecting via inputs) and for Lance...super guard to hold the monster for even longer.
Charged Counter
Discharge Counter
Wyyvernfire/stake counter
"HOOOOOOOOOOLD!"
Probs just a GS thing sadly, maybe even a switchskill equivalent just to rub salt in my dreams
I hope they stick the small monster catching and side quests in this like World had.
It made the world feel so alive with all the side content.
Get ready for the grind my dudes.
The Moment I seen that title that said gameplay review I was hyped!
This game will be HUGE…20 million first weekend it’s out, calling it now lol
I expect the "open world" to be more like multiple "Guiding Lands" from Iceborne. So map with monsters coming and going.
2:51 ngl he looks like barnabas from ffxvi
I'm still not convinced on it being open world but the big thing, I think, will be "less corridors". That will definitely make the maps feel more open.
I think you'll still have the hub and have choice to go back once the quest you're on is complete and select a new one from there, or stay in the wilds and organically find a quest
They definitely got that block at the end from Exoprimal and I'm all for it
All i want is the community being pulled back together and i thing this game has a potential to do it.
So apparently it's still going to be separate zones and each zone's going to have three different cycles where it's abundant Life and then harsh and then extremely harsh environments where only the toughest monsters are surviving
MonHun always looks rough during trailers but they clean it up quickly. I'm expecting a Feb or March release.
Man, I wish Max would stop acting like he's an MH expert eventhough he only played World and Rise. I love his FF7 videos and kinda disappointed to see he dismiss the story as all MH stories are bad.
He also viewed this game as a departure from the classic MH formula, but in reality every new MH game shakes up the formula, like World, Rise, 4U, GU, etc.
He commented that there's no familiar monsters yet other than Rathalos. Well, yeah, its a new Monster Hunter game, meaning more new unfamiliar monsters, like all the games before.
And then speculated Wilds will be open world, neglecting to read that the game will consists of Hunting Locals as usual.
I started in World, but even I know that this is normal for MH. What kinda gets me is that when he switched to the other trailer he was concerned about FRAMERATE. Not the cool new game and the future of a great franchise, but framerate. I love Max but cmon man get the PC Optimizer out of there for a sec and enjoy the trailer
It kinda seems to be that world/the people world brought onto the series, have encouraged a mindset where all the previous games are viewed as antiquated or not worth any time, which ignores a huge amount of incredible game design and art, seemingly just because world and wilds are pushing high fidelity as their focus.
Just wanted to say that it's not about the visuals, as it is about the limitstions the older games have. You have to travel across multiple areas multiple times during a hunt, and having to hit a loading screen with each area can be quite annoying if you're coming from MH World. @@flamepunk8683
I only saw 3 games I'm interested in that State of play and Monster Hunter was one of them
