This is why I love your channel Bob, you show the good, the bad and the everyday 😂. I remember dad driving us through there on the way to Germany about 50 years ago, he rarely swore but I seem to recall hearing some new words on that day😂. He stopped and asked a local driver for help. This kind chap said to follow him and proceeded to drive through the city like James Hunt…..all my dad kept saying was “bloody stroll on, I’m braking the speed limit” 🤣🤣. Happy memories, and that’s just what you’ve made. Thanks for the video mate…. and to Jenny for the “tree” comment. Laughed out load to that ❤️🙌☕️
Really enjoyed that I could feel the stress having been in the same situation, went round and round St pol De Leon half a dozen times when market day was on route barre ,sat nav useless 😊😊👏👏
When my father was in the Army we were based in Dusseldorf and the show wasn’t far from where we lived. Our house was right under the runway for the airport, seems you were parked right under it too😁
What we found was that we noticed more when the planes weren’t flying rather than when they were. If we had visitors flying over to see us we didn’t need to leave home to collect them from the airport until we saw their plane fly over and they were so low we could see the passengers through the windows of the plane.
Oh my goodness what a journey and that caravan site all that queuing. But Jenny you did make me laugh when Bob pointed out a river you I can’t look I’m busy with the maps . Well done for sticking with it x
God Bob and Jenny that whole vlog was filled with anxiety. Even parking up at the show and that tree. Honestly well done both of you! Bet while suffering through that you were thinking ‘should have gone to Bunree’ Seriously well done as all of us motorhomers can relate to how stressful all of that was. X
Well done all of you! jeez! … that was one hell of a journey , 10/10 for your patience , ( on camera at least 😂) even i need a drink now just watching it , great video 👍
Oh Bob & Jenny, living in Germany in the 80’s I took many a wrong turn at Edinhoven and Antwerp. Even today we regularly travel back to Germany and go to Denmark. Antwerp and the Kennedy tunnel can be tricky, the roadworks are constantly changing so I still meticulously plan every trip. The satnav updates do not keep up. I have a few tips for Hamburg and the Elbe tunnel as that regularly changes to. Probably too late by now. The pace of construction is rapid, much, much quicker than the UK. No matter, take care and enjoy.
Oh dear Bob & Jenny! I don't think I have EVER managed to circumnavigate Antwerp successfully. On my way back from CSD I missed the right turn off... I'll be interested to see what you made of the show.
Antwerp is one of those places that is best to walk around 😃 I've got a couple of videos of us looking around those huge halls We enjoyed our visit a lot. I would like to visit again, but not during a tour.
Wow Bob Jenny as journeys go that was definitely a nightmare thank goodness you all got there safely and I would have been far less calm or polite 😂 well done both and also to Trev and Sue as well hope you all had a beer or two after that! all the very best to you all Daniel
I navigate alone and I would probably still be driving around Antwerp trying to find a way out now lol . Loved Jenny's comment about "the frigging tree". What a nightmare. Well done for staying calm and ending up in the right place. Hope the next part of the drive is more enjoyable for you all.
Good morning Bob and Jenny 👋 Jeeez... that was exactly the kind of trip no Camper wants. But I could imagine visiting the Caravan Salon compensated you a bit for the stress "Arriving at". Isn't it absolutely amazing what you can see there? How did you cope with the noise of the nearby Airport? Pretty wild isn't it? It was so funny to see that Roadsign on the Autobahn showing my Hometown (Mönchengladbach) in one of YOUR videos 😅. Hope you have a furthermore great time on your Denmark trip. Take care and keep up with your fantastic videos. We really love to watch them. Greetings from Germany Marcel and Miriam 👋and a big Hello to the Poshcats, too 👋
After working in Belgium and the Netherlands over a period of 10 years I always thought I had Gent and Antwerp worked out, but I have also done the Gent Centrum loop 🤪 and most recently my satnag decided I needed to go through the centre of Antwerp instead of the Ring and Kennedy tunnel ..... of course there were road works, closed roads, diversions etc so I feel your pain. Looking at the amount of vans at the show I`m not sure I could stand the stress 😂 Well done for your persistence.
Great video Bob and Jenny. This was an epic journey that took us where no motorhome had gone before 😂 That friggin tree followed us about on this tour 😂 Thanks for being kind about our leading skills, or lack of 😮 And we got there in the end 👏 👏 💙 Trev n Sue
Thought we were going to get a Jenny F Bomb !! 😂😂😂😂so Funny ! Think this will be top of your charts . 👍🏻Jenny at a Belgium road sign “WHAT DOES IT MEAN “ classic 👍🏻Glad you battled through
Ha ha I feel your pain, I work for a German company and ofter drive to the office in Germany, some of the roadworks and diversions are laughable, I've started using Waze instead of native sat navs.
Bob,Jenny..my living is using sat navs/nags..DONT run both together TRUST you dimensions sat nav then Google for last tiny bit..will save you a lot of hassle . ( Heard the confusion) Happy travels.. I mean this the best possible way.
We would not like to be on those roads and among all that queue of MH’s. I suppose we like our quieter places. We are amazed at the weight you have lost Bob? What kind of dieting have you been doing? Rob and Karynn NZ.
If you haven't seen our videos for a while, I've been on a pre-diabetic program from Reed Wellbeing, since March this year. The program is a national prgram sponsored by the NHS. For further information please ask your GP. So far I've lost 20kg in weight following a suggested menu plan, cutting out white bread and other high carb foods.
Dear St. Bob and St. Jenny. Mr D would have used profanities and said "that's it, we're going home". Thanks you both and Trev and Sue for your patience. X
It must have been bad - Bob nearly cursed ! - never seen you both so agitated . There is a problem with Satnav - you put yourself under their command totally, without knowing where you are really going - I never had any problems in Europe pre satnav - sat down with a map and planned the route , wrote it down and put it on the passenger seat. It gave you a general sense of direction. Good to see you both survived , Bob you look after yourself. Best wishes to you both.
Where Trev made his first U - turn, Google sent me down there during an a.m. rush hour once. It was actually safer, as the lights changed regardless even in a long queue, so l slowed on my approach to increase my gap to time the lights, and pushed my way in. I was in a left hand drive, so l looked like a local and was let in by a bendi bus due to his necessary extra length to clear. I guess what l am saying is it was definitely a you problem, and not a me problem, l just had to go all around the houses with my explanation..... A bit like the Google lady really.😂
Sue and Jenny communicate via What’s App texting each other the next junction etc. They are passengers. Using What’s App is less distracting for the drivers Bob and Trev.
Well that did not disappoint. We have all had these days but that was a miserable one. Thanks for taking us to these shows. Not having to go there ourselves is a big relief 😁👍
Oh my… Well, we enjoyed watching. 😂🤦 “Right under the friggin’ tree” had us in stitches. I bet everyone had a large drink after that day. Maybe not Sue. 😉Looking forward to the next episode. 👍❤️🥂
With what’s going on in the world delays and queueing and parking under trees really is nothing to get stressed about it’s not good for you just try and take it in your stride
We'll get over it, nothing serious. We cannot fix the worlds problems. Just trying to bring our life to you, the viewers. Oh, and if you've never watched our videos you wouldn't know why parking under a tree is such a frigging pain.

That didnt look like fun. Out of interest, did you have a good old road atlas to refer to? Aside from the traumatic journey, the video production was your usual high standard.
That was more painful to watch than I think it was you driving it. I can’t understand why all four of you have no idea where you were going and to use two different satnav plus Google maps is just a joke.
Thank you for your kind comments and understanding. It makes you appreciate how professional drivers cope with diversions in foreign countries. Or do you know what I'm really thinking?
We all have nightmare journeys to endure. They make a good story to tell others about. You guys film everything which unfortunately lends itself for people to make a ‘smart’ comment about what they watched. Personally, we loved this episode. I bet the debriefing and drinks afterwards were fun? Well done Bob and Jenny. 😉👍❤️🥂
@jimmyconnolly3461 Exactly. As politicians say, mistakes were made and lessons learnt. There's always someone who knows so much more than you. Without making the journey, we wouldn't have the experience.
Crikey that had me on the edge of my seat, especially when you started going along the single track roads.
You were both so calm on the journey and were still able to laugh. I take my hat off to you both. Take care Gill
Thanks Gill. 😄

Really enjoyed that I could feel the stress having been in the same situation, went round and round St pol De Leon half a dozen times when market day was on route barre ,sat nav useless 😊😊👏👏
Glad you enjoyed it. It's not always easy sharing driving challenges.
When my father was in the Army we were based in Dusseldorf and the show wasn’t far from where we lived. Our house was right under the runway for the airport, seems you were parked right under it too😁
Yes, we didn't need an alarm clock. Six thirty every morning ✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️
What we found was that we noticed more when the planes weren’t flying rather than when they were. If we had visitors flying over to see us we didn’t need to leave home to collect them from the airport until we saw their plane fly over and they were so low we could see the passengers through the windows of the plane.
😅 Yes, I suppose you get used to it.
Oh my goodness what a journey and that caravan site all that queuing. But Jenny you did make me laugh when Bob pointed out a river you I can’t look I’m busy with the maps . Well done for sticking with it x

Seriously well done as all of us motorhomers can relate to how stressful all of that was. X
You sometimes have to stretch what you think you can do. It was tough fitting Dusseldorf in on this tour, but very glad we did.
Well done all of you! jeez! … that was one hell of a journey , 10/10 for your patience , ( on camera at least 😂) even i need a drink now just watching it , great video 👍
Dear me, what a journey. I was stressed just watching you, goodness knows what it was like in real life. I’d have given up!

Thank you. We can look back at it now and smile.
Oh Bob and Jenny , it made my palms sweaty and I felt anxious just watching this. I such a stressful trip. I think we will stick to the Uk in our MH
Congratulations. Not a single obscenity. Thank you for sharing that not everything goes well on tour. Stay safe.
I navigate alone and I would probably still be driving around Antwerp trying to find a way out now lol . Loved Jenny's comment about "the frigging tree". What a nightmare. Well done for staying calm and ending up in the right place. Hope the next part of the drive is more enjoyable for you all.
Thanks for understanding. 😃
I feel your pain and frustration regarding the sat nav situation in Antwerp, if you do travel to France AVOID ROUEN by all means. Good luck 🤞👍
Thanks, will do!

Lol...when you did that U turn in Genk I found I was actually leaning to the left in my chair!!!
So we're we 😄

I'm really sorry you had a bad time, but honestly this really tickled me, so British
It looked like you were in the Mersey tunnel at one point 😂I hope you all had a nice glass of wine or a whisky after all that.
I certainly did!
Ha ha I feel your pain, I work for a German company and ofter drive to the office in Germany, some of the roadworks and diversions are laughable, I've started using Waze instead of native sat navs.
oh jenny i burst out laughing when you said right under the friggin tree
Fab video Bob and Jen. We have great adventures don’t we? Lovely memories .

Oh gosh, WHAT AN AWFUL TRIP, for you both. I felt tired watching you all. Well done getting there 🥰🥰
Thank you

Phew! I need a rest after this one! 😅 well done, Bob and Jenny for the u turn! 👏🔁🔄🔀🔃↪️↩️
OMG what a horrendous journey! Well done for staying sane. What a fine example of Keep Calm and Carry On!!
And a strong cup of tea at the end. 😅
When it told you to follow East 17 bet you wish you had said Stay Another Day 😂😂😂
Not sure I wanted any jets 100 ft above my head though. 😆
Phew, driving abroad , oh the joys ,great video again
Dear St. Bob and St. Jenny. Mr D would have used profanities and said "that's it, we're going home". Thanks you both and Trev and Sue for your patience. X
Thanks, but I'm not sure I would have wanted to go back the way we came. 😅

Oh Jenny did make us chuckle with her “frigging tree!” 😂 hope you are both keeping well x

Yes you are right about reliance on sat nav but we didn't know about the diversions until we were in them.
Where Trev made his first U - turn, Google sent me down there during an a.m. rush hour once.

A bit like the Google lady really.😂
Yes, apart from the fact there were cars on my inside, I could have made the turn.
We feel for you, never had a smooth drive through Antwerp. Wish us good luck as we have to pass through to the Hull ferry tomorrow.
Well at least you'll avoid Antwerp. Good luck with the ferry.
I have the same problem going through Leeds City centre 🙄.
I felt stressed after watching that!
Well done I would have lost my temper and gone home miles back. Stay in Britten.
😄 That wasn't an option. Thought about it....
Woooo that was tough... Only advice is keep the gap between you and Trev much shorter.
I was feeling your pain. What a nightmare journey and to top it all off you end up right under a friggin’ tree!
Have you considered getting walkie talkies for when you're on convoy? Then the leader can remain 'in charge' of navigation.
Thats illegal if you are talking on them classed as the same as using a phone while driving
I'm looking forward to driving down the M6 to the NEC now. 😄
Jenny effing at the tree 🤣respect ✊
O wow😂😂😂 show looks good though.
O M G I could hardly watch, what a, palaver 😅
Oh my… Well, we enjoyed watching. 😂🤦 “Right under the friggin’ tree” had us in stitches. I bet everyone had a large drink after that day. Maybe not Sue. 😉Looking forward to the next episode. 👍❤️🥂
We all had a stiff drink! 😅
I'm stressed just watching. Well done

I'd fly and stay in a hotel
Yes sounds like a good plan. 😄
I changed my satnav voice to a mans voice, i feel guilty shouting at a woman
What a fun filled journey to Dusseldorf!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow guys "interesting" journey, you kept your tempers well, or maybe well hidden !
We didn't lose our temper until the end, but it was a frustrating journey.
Waze and fantastic app miles better the google maps
Great job there Bob makes you wonder how we managed before sat nav / google / mobile phones
Why not buy a motorhome/caravan specific sat nav..
Have you not watched many of our videos? We have a Avtex Tourer Tiwo and traffic is switched on. Helped us escape from Ghent. 😄
Bob, are you losing weight?

@@BobEarnshawMoHo fantastic progress

Yes but that wouldn’t have helped with the road closures and diversions on the day.
