The parallels i experienced when i moved to italia 30 plus (38 !?!) years ago are astounding. At that time there was no internet , etc. yet all the things you pointed out are still the same - this summer/fall when i returned the best thing was reconnecting with old friends, some alive and some not so much. Next year i will return but the complete relocation part is taking longer than i anticipated . I was really glad that I returned to amalfi and salerno and wow you really made an amazing impact there as many people mentioned how much they missed you. Anyway have a great Christmas 🎄
Your thoughts and reflections about communication and language are always very deep and true to me, as a former expat I confirm how struggling to understand people around you and be understood can hugely affect your mood or even your personality, on the other hand I witnessed the risks and the effects of the isolation due to the difficulties in communicating and interacting with others. So defintely the first advise to anyone who wants to move to another country is to learn the local language or a language that is commonly spoken by the loclals
Hi 👋! I love your videos. Your approach is so practical, real, raw, down to earth and authentic. I find them to be the most helpful as I do research about moving to Italy. Thank you for your videos and the information you provide. They speak to my soul
Thank you so much for your kind words. I try to give a balanced view of life here because it’s important when you are considering moving here, so I’m so happy that it helps
Another great informative video. I agree with all aspects of moving/living in Italy. I believe learning the language is a must. The tree looks pretty, thank you 😊
Auguri
Great advice as usual, thank you! 🙏🏼 You were so brave to move without knowing a lot of Italian, I'm the exact opposite - worried that I won't have enough to comfortably communicate. I want to get to B2 level before spending a lot of time there, so piano, piano :) Happy Christmas! 💜
Thank you 🙏🏻 I think you have exactly the right mindset about language but I would say don’t worry about being a perfect B2 before you come here. The fact that you will be able to speak at intermediate Italian alone will put you in good stead!
this is basically a guide to life. If you are not following these "rules" you will not have a very open broad life. basically life is to be lived not a portal to observe others. you have to be open a bit friendly and the like.

I couldn’t have worded this better myself - thank you 🙏🏻
Very good point about finding a community BEFORE the move!
Yes - it helps a lot!

Absolutely - thank you.
I think I am ready which is good because I fly out on January 2nd.
Amazing - it will be a great experience
Amazing - it will be a great experience.
Did you notice that at the beginning of the video you said 3 with your hand the way the Italians do?
Ahaha yes - I’m more Italian now than I realise 😂
Nice Xmas tree!
Thank you!
You’re really cute !
Ah thanks!
