Thanks for being pretty balanced, despite the title! I love my 13 Pro, but you fairly mentioned all of the downsides. The over exposed high lights are not... great. I end up tweaking the photos in post, decreasing the highlights and shadows. Also with Hallide being the only way to get pro capabilities which seems odd for a "pro" phone. The battery is amazing, I end my work days on about 40% and I occasionally have forgotten to charge it overnight but I can still listen to spotify over my airpods on the train to work while browsing social media, even take some photos without fear of it draining. The battery takes some heavy heavy use like a champ.

No Android phone has the power of the A15 Chip or even A14 .Currently my iPhone 13 Pro battery is lasting 3 days. I couldn't be happier. Both of your review styles are okay. Cant wait for the 16" MacBook Pro release. I just hope it is based on A15 Technology or I will wait to upgrade from my 2018 i9 Pro which still works well.

I get 24 hours out of a 12 pro max during weekdays with 60-70% battery consumed. I can leave my house at 6 am and use it through the day with a couple hours of light gaming and have 20% at 10pm. I do tweaked the data usage, background app refresh, location and some other stuff so it does what I want when I want it and not be running crazy the whole day.
I like this iPhone 13 Pro’s small features upgrade. It will be a perfect phone if there is no notch at all. I don’t mind a slower battery fast charging for battery health. Nevertheless, I’m still going to get iPhone 13 Pro. 😊
Samsung does state that the S21 Ultra can go as low as 10Hz, however as you mentioned yourself sometimes it's best not to drop so low as it caused choppy animations on the iphone
@Tom Samsung are moving OLED to laptops due to many OEMs moving away from Samsung Displays due to their practises. Apple now has the vast majority of its displays with LG and BOE (over 90 million in the next year). OPPO are moving to BOE and so on. Apple was going to use Samsung OLED for their iPad Air next year but Samsung would not do a dual layer design (means higher brightness and doubles the life of the screen) because it would mean the displays last longer and would be bad for future business.
@Tom is true Samsung makes iphone display but not the design. The oled screen in iPhones took longer hours to get burn in result compared to Samsung phones. Just to let you know
Bought the 13 Pro for my Wife. (She had the 8+) She never uses the camera, she doesn't care for refresh rates, etc. All she does is stream & watch downloaded vids. That's it! She may Google something, she doesn't even know how to use Siri. lol That 13 Pro has a Killa battery! All day steaming or watching vids & the lowest it's ever gotten within a days use is 69%!! 🤟 I have the old Note 10+ and thought it was great at all day battery life in 2021/2022. I'm waiting on that S22 Ultra/Note

Great review and waiting for my 13ProMax here in Pasadena (all LA stores sold out weeks ago). I hope the awesome new cinematic mode software can make edges sharper like portrait mode and not blurred as are now
I switched from iPhone to Samsung Note 9 a few years ago, because of 1. Battery 2. Customizable home screen with icons and widgets 3. Split screen apps (particularly UA-cam and Notes) 4. Multiwindow apps (particularly maps, translate, chat heads, notes, and UA-cam) 5. S-pen 6. Low light photography 7. Thumbprint unlock I don't plan on switching back anytime soon, but admittedly Apple has caught up in the battery and camera. It'll take a lot more for Apple to win me over again.
I’ve always been an Android guy but the 13 Pro Max is the best phone I’ve ever owned and, as far as I’m concerned, the best this form factor can be. Only way is foldable now.
It depend the taste of the person. The person wants freedom a customizations Android ecosystem is better, if you want stability and performance iOS is the preference. The downside of apple is that they reuse the hardware and is not constant the upgrade. Most of the upgrades they manage is from software instead of hardware as Android tend to do. More hardware than software.
lol only two years ago I said am probably never going back to apple ever again after getting note 10+ took apple only a year to perfect their design and increase the comically shorter size of their phones to on par with Samsung taller display more suitable for power users, now for me the 13 pro max is the best iPhone ever and I say yet with a grain of salt 🧂 😁
iPhone I’m pretty sure was one of the first with the LiDAR Scanner or the first, also with MagSafe, sensor shift stabilization, iOS optimized private chips, first to remove the headphone jack, one of the first to use a matte glass back panel, and more. I don’t know why people think Apple doesn’t innovate anymore but yet I can still put together a list from the last few years.
It’s the people who think they’re techy but aren’t if you’re using a 5 year old iPhone or Android you ain’t a latest and greatest type person you’re stuck in the past and are purely judging from that period 😁
Reviewers do pick and choose which features they highlight to make Apple look bad. Apple has the best chip on any phone, except another iPhone. Also the neural networks are better than any Android.
Lots of stuff u mention are apple marketing word I do agree with LIDAR And how is removing headphone jack consider innovation lol Or matte glass back panel ? Lol That I’m sure other companies can do if they want but they have to charge a lot and I’m term of brand power they can’t compete with apple Not saying apple iPhone sucks. But let’s be honest here , they are taking , to put it nicely Slow and steady. Or in normal language , milking their customers Steve cared about profit too as any CEO but he also cared about user experience and very anal about what he believes to be good. Tim with his supplies background cared more about bean counting and living off the empire Steve built Tim is lucky he still had core team that worked with Steve since 90s like Craig Jony(at least for a while ) Phil …etc
@@sharonb.9128 having the best chip but don’t utilize fully. and I would say it’s that they are the biggest purchaser of chips that’s why they get to dip into the technology If u look up u know it’s company like TSM who invent the manufacture process Yes apple design chips but they can’t do it without the help like tsm asml ..etc Or lens from Sony Screen from Samsung And coz apple is so big they are able to get the best quality and the first dip.
@dandansfu Tim Cook was pretty greedy from iPhone 7/8 making little change to the device indeed. I do see what you are saying here and it is true. But when Apple users pay for the phone in which they are getting “milked”, they are paying in for the ecosystem. As for the standard user or ones goals who are based around productivity typically chose Apple. Whether it’s a student in college using a MacBook Air for its decent performance or reliability. Or if it’s a designer using a m1 iPad Pro. These are consistent and reliable devices that perform well and are… respected… in the market. Btw is samsungs marketing technique mocking Apple for not having a headphone jack, or mocking Apple for removing the adapter from the box, or mocking Apple for not utilizing a expandable memory slot. But yet the next year remove all from their phones too?💀
Its a perfect review of an imperfect phone!! Well done mate.. the content has just right amount of technical detail, comparisons with previous models and android competition were on point.. I like your simplistic presentation style.. unbiased, informative and extremely engaging.. great job!! 👏
Agree with your review 100%. Were it not for Apple’s ecosystem, this wouldn’t be my primary device, the Fold 3 or S21 Ultra would. But the ecosystem is phenomenal, especially now with spatial audio and Dolby Atmos. But even without that. Also, I wish I had stuck to the 11 Pro Max until this phone. The 12 Pro Max was far worse battery life wise, and didn’t offer much more in other areas.
I held out on upgrading from my iPhone Xs. Until this year, I got the iPhone 13pro max, when you wait 4 years to upgrade your phone any new phone is an upgrade. But this phone is great, easily two days of battery life.
I don’t believe any phone is the perfect phone as everyone wants more. My perfect phone would be 1. 6 inches 2. No notch 3. 5000mAh 4 headphone jack 5 charger in box 6. Under £800 7. Amazing camera 8. Nice oled screen 9. Software updates for 5 years 10. Fast charging.
To wish fast charging and software updates for 5 years together is meaningless. You can't use your phone for 5 years, if you use fast charging, that kills your battery in just 2-3 years (and after this amount of time, most manufacturers not support the phone with part, so only the cheaper remanufactured battey remain as replacement, which can backfire, and kill your phone completely), this is why Samsung and Google also limited the charging when they announced the 3+ years software updates. The 2 things are totally opposed each other, one is exists to force you to buy a new phone more frequently, the other is let you keep your phone longer..
@Vinis Bertalan same with iPhone, but iPhone offers 6+ years of software updates. Like bruh they are still supporting the 4” display iPhone SE 1st gen with iOS 15💀😂😭
@@Winkoo6 I would rather have a good looking phone with excellent build quality along a solid battery that won’t lag after 2 or 3 years like previous phones did for me it makes the current 13 pro max a candidate I keep for 5 years of regular use usually all phones particularly Androids start to look and feel old after two years by complete first year you feel if money grew on trees 🌲 you would immediately upgrade to the next 😁
Me personally I'll take reliability that iOS has over the instability of most androids. Yes android innovates more but ultimately that means nothing if the support and long term performance aren't there. With an iPhone, you get reliable performance and updates for almost a decade. When it comes to fast charging, it's a gimmick. Because while it's nice to have a phone that charges in 17 minutes, my guess is you'll have overheating issues long term as well as replacing your battery more often. From all I've seen, the iPhone 13 pro is the best all around iPhone. Because even the new 14 pro takes a step back with lesser battery life and an always on display that isn't quite executed very well. In 2022 if I were buying the perfect iPhone it would be the 13 pro.
Your reviews are very simple, sincere, and user friendly. A quick history. After being hacked on my HTC (you do remember HTC) in Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦, I promised myself never to use an android again. Soooo, I purchased the iPhone 5S which I currently use today. This was nine years ago. However, my 5S battery is showing its age and the time has come to upgrade to a new phone. I’ve seen “squeaks and peaks” of the new iPhone 14 Pro. Based on your current knowledge, do you think that the 14 Pro will outshine the 13 Pro? If so, by how much? Is it worth the wait? Supposedly, the 14 is scheduled to come out in October 2022. Your thoughts please.
Apple stays with: - Notch: bc of unique layout - AOD: to advert smartwatch - 3xtele: to still being able to upgrade - avrg charging: to advert magsafe ...
I gave up a XR for a 13PR it was a great decision. The camera is traffic,to see Apple backup and use the frame from the 6 was great. The rebate made the purchase very worth while. Have a wonderful Holiday!!🎅🏻🇺🇸🐻
Was contemplating on getting 13ProMax instead of the 13 Pro because of the increased battery life... but then I remembered I still have my One Plus 8 phone.. (and my ol reliable One Plus 6). So yea, I'll just get the 13 Pro.
Hi Daniel, thanks for the video, it is excellent! You answered my question regarding battery life between 11Pro Max vs 13 Pro. I will go with the 13 Pro because I want to go to a smaller phone now.
The battery life of my 13 pro is an average of 3 days, and if I push it hard, I'm guaranteed to have it for 2 days. And I am not addicted to the Internet 24/24 hours.
I really don't know why AOD is a matter of concern for folks. It is really distracting each time the text shifts to prevent pixel burning. I own the OnePlus 9Pro and switched off AOD in a day as it was just so distracting.
Daniel Amazing Video and I appreciate all the things that I have been thinking and waiting for someone to mention.Especially the Battery and Camera.Keep up with all the great Videos.Deb 👍✌️
Like your unbiased review. unlike other UA-camrs you have mentioned that there is problem with iPhone 13 camera. IlHopefully issue would be resolved via updates.
For the choppy animation, many cross-platforms apps (especially Google apps) these days are not using native/built-in scrolling mechanisms. That’s why the OS can’t automatically adjust all these for 120hz.
@@funkam0nkey yeah went to the apple store yesterday for battery replacement for family member, checked out the new pros and they are really cool. Love the 120Hz
Good battery is great. But the problem is it deteriorate after one year. Even the battery health may say 95%. Somehow it feels it is more than that I really wish apple or Samsung or anyone can maybe fund or do RD on battery tech as they really haven’t improve much past 10-20 years I understand now phone is more demanding. Bigger better screen but I still think there are rooms for improvements Also there are many videos that shows that really not 120hz more often than apple make it sound I feel they call it “adaptive “ to get away more non 120hz than competitor
If you look after your battery it should not degrade. Never charge it above 80% and try to not go below 20%. Keep it in that sweet spot and the battery cycles will increase four-fold, so 2000 cycles until 80% capacity. Consumers abuse their batteries and then complain!

@@merlinarthur4072 yes for example i last charged my phone 100% on sunday 06.30am and its now monday 08:51am i still have 40% battery left on low power mode. I have watched videos, browse social apps and played a bit of games. I think for me this is the best iphone ive ever had.
i was planning to buy fold 3 but if the battery of iphone 13 is good, i might change my mind
Does it feel very heavy in your hand?
This is the only Vid that doesnt have Ads bfore his video starts! I was surprised bcoz im used to waiting 5 secs for the ads to finish. This is funny! 😂
Yea the battery on the 13 pro max is even Better. Lasts longer than any flagship androids too
How is your battery life?
@@pasanruwanga1574 terrific. All day battery even with heavy use. Never have had to worry about the battery.
I agree with you. I no longer put my powerbank or charger in my bag because I know it can survive the whole day and I can still use it even at night before I sleep.
I had a hard time to figure out if i wanted the 13 pro or the max. I wanted a big phone but I didn’t want the “ bulky feeling”🤦🏾♀️ but then i said you know what let me just go with the pro. Hope i made the rt choice😩😂😂. Based on this video I made the rt choice. Keeping 🤞🏾btw I’m coming from a 11…
I was FINALLY able to justify my upgrade from the 10 XS -- very happy so far. This, and the iPad Mini 6 made it the best Apple product release in some time
Upgrading from iphone 11 to 13 pro max is a huge changes! Battery life is great!
It's laughable that the A15 with low power mode is almost as fast as the Snapdragon 888 which I believe is the top android chip atm
@@BobRossRightHand the 888 is not the fastest the 888+ with higher clock speed, there are reasons why the snapdragon chip is not unlocked for benchmarks speed
I have it and it’s the best iPhone ever.
will be perfect when it drops lightning port
Last time Apple switched ports, the entire world went upside down.
Samsung is capping, it can't drop that low, do your research
Lol stop misleading i am using an s21 ultra and it doesn't drop that low either an adaptive refresh rate or 60hz
Either way S21 ultra do a good job with the battery performance for it does. Btw S21 or iPhone13 pro? S21! 🤣🤣🤣
Just to let you know
I don't think Apple will go further than 3x zoom. It's the perfect length for portrait photography.
Nice and perfect description dude!! Preordered iPhone 13 Pro Max, eagerly waiting :p
I've been loving my 13 Pro so far!
Thank you….very helpful! At & t is giving an $800 trade in for my Xs to get a 13 Pro; You helped me make my decision :)
Love my 13 pro
Bought the 13 Pro for my Wife. (She had the 8+) She never uses the camera, she doesn't care for refresh rates, etc.
All she does is stream & watch downloaded vids. That's it! She may Google something, she doesn't even know how to use Siri. lol
That 13 Pro has a Killa battery! All day steaming or watching vids & the lowest it's ever gotten within a days use is 69%!! 🤟
I have the old Note 10+ and thought it was great at all day battery life in 2021/2022. I'm waiting on that S22 Ultra/Note
@6:00 “Military grade” drop protection. It’s 1 notch better from “Aerospace grade” drop protection.
The Pro-motion display, all-day battery and improved cameras, they all add-up!!
Yeah i was a bit dissapointed at the live event, but i decited to upgrade from my 12 pro anyway, and im happy that i did.
Been watching your channel and subscribed from the s7 Edge era... Mahn we come along way even though you will never know me... All love from Africa Zambia mahn.. You rock and really stand out with detail
Thanks for the support Sammy! Really appreciate it! 🙏🏻
You truly put in the work and I really appreciate that alot fam... You a real one
Yeah. Because battery in ip13, I pre order it. Been using android flagship and never cross my mind about buyin the iphone because of its battery life. But the ip13 make up my mind. 👍🏻👍🏻
+ bcause the size of the pro in my small hand!!
Im heavy user sometimes and gaming too, can you suggest me which one tht i can choose? Pro or Pro Max?
Friend only pro res is exclusively for pro models. But photo styles and cinematic mode is available for complete 13 line up. You mentioned it wrong.
Great review and waiting for my 13ProMax here in Pasadena (all LA stores sold out weeks ago). I hope the awesome new cinematic mode software can make edges sharper like portrait mode and not blurred as are now
You can adjust DoF with a slider which helps bring your subject into focus better, stopping those blurred areas.
cant wait to buy this phone in 3 years
First plan I will keep my 12 pro, but the 13 battery upgrade its so tempting, now using the 13 pro max and smile
Yo bro really love ur videos u really deserve more subscribers
I switched from iPhone to Samsung Note 9 a few years ago, because of
1. Battery
2. Customizable home screen with icons and widgets
3. Split screen apps (particularly UA-cam and Notes)
4. Multiwindow apps (particularly maps, translate, chat heads, notes, and UA-cam)
5. S-pen
6. Low light photography
7. Thumbprint unlock
I don't plan on switching back anytime soon, but admittedly Apple has caught up in the battery and camera.
Lots of stuff u mention are apple marketing word
I do agree with LIDAR
And how is removing headphone jack consider innovation lol
Or matte glass back panel ? Lol
That I’m sure other companies can do if they want but they have to charge a lot and I’m term of brand power they can’t compete with apple
Not saying apple iPhone sucks. But let’s be honest here , they are taking , to put it nicely
Slow and steady. Or in normal language , milking their customers
Steve cared about profit too as any CEO but he also cared about user experience and very anal about what he believes to be good.
Tim with his supplies background cared more about bean counting and living off the empire Steve built
Tim is lucky he still had core team that worked with Steve since 90s like Craig Jony(at least for a while ) Phil …etc
@@sharonb.9128 having the best chip but don’t utilize fully. and I would say it’s that they are the biggest purchaser of chips that’s why they get to dip into the technology
If u look up u know it’s company like TSM who invent the manufacture process Yes apple design chips but they can’t do it without the help like tsm asml ..etc
Or lens from Sony
Screen from Samsung
And coz apple is so big they are able to get the best quality and the first dip.
But yet the next year remove all from their phones too?💀
I can’t wait to get my iPhone 13 Pro Max Sierra blue 512GB
I love that you're a LongBeachGriffy Fan
Its a perfect review of an imperfect phone!! Well done mate.. the content has just right amount of technical detail, comparisons with previous models and android competition were on point.. I like your simplistic presentation style.. unbiased, informative and extremely engaging.. great job!! 👏
Actually ProRes is already available and they have added a Macro switch in the settings.
Where in setting I can’t find it?
@@masaun73 Its in the beta release, not yet out in the stable version
it's only in beta.
Where is the link for the mag safe stuff please, great review btw - I love my 13 pro.
I don’t believe any phone is the perfect phone as everyone wants more. My perfect phone would be
1. 6 inches
2. No notch
3. 5000mAh
4 headphone jack
5 charger in box
6. Under £800
7. Amazing camera
8. Nice oled screen
9. Software updates for 5 years
Best phone now, I have used 2 of its compatision
Your conference with Junior League was awesome. I can’t wait to talk to you and get more information on hormones and the brain.
Could you please make a comparison between 13 and 13 pro battery life? Which is actually better ?
I watched an android user’s review and even he really enjoyed using the 13 pro max
Just bought the PRO 13 hope is good as you say. Thank you Happy Thanksgiving.
Thank you! You explained the display experience so well! Hope it gets fixed.
Apple stays with:
- Notch: bc of unique layout
- AOD: to advert smartwatch
- 3xtele: to still being able to upgrade
- avrg charging: to advert magsafe
...
Even King Kong be like “why is this phone so big”?
I gave up a XR for a 13PR it was a great decision. The camera is traffic,to see Apple backup and use the frame from the 6 was great. The rebate made the purchase very worth while. Have a wonderful Holiday!!🎅🏻🇺🇸🐻
What rebate and for how much was the rebate
Was contemplating on getting 13ProMax instead of the 13 Pro because of the increased battery life... but then I remembered I still have my One Plus 8 phone.. (and my ol reliable One Plus 6). So yea, I'll just get the 13 Pro.

Hi Daniel, thanks for the video, it is excellent! You answered my question regarding battery life between 11Pro Max vs 13 Pro. I will go with the 13 Pro because I want to go to a smaller phone now.
Are you from Manchester? I recognize the background when you was shooting the video, media city?
If possible, do some in-depth iPhone 13 pro camera review .
I own the OnePlus 9Pro and switched off AOD in a day as it was just so distracting.
wow that refresh rate step thing was something new I've heard of from a reviewer........nobody tells that stuff
lol what? They've been talking about it a year leading to 13's release
Daniel Amazing Video and I appreciate all the things that I have been thinking and waiting for someone to mention.Especially the Battery and Camera.Keep up with all the great Videos.Deb 👍✌️

You don't need to turn on power saving mode to get 60Hz on the screen. Go to settings>Accessibility>motion and reduce frame rate, turn it on

Loved the review Dan. In the ocean of reviews you found an original angle with loads of details and objective criticism.
Like your unbiased review. unlike other UA-camrs you have mentioned that there is problem with iPhone 13 camera. IlHopefully issue would be resolved via updates.

You can change macro mode with the iOS 15.0.2 update and it fixes the little bugs
I have the iphone 13 pro and i really like it besides the port. I really wish it had been usb c..
Not me watching this video on “The Perfect Phone”😭😭
For the choppy animation, many cross-platforms apps (especially Google apps) these days are not using native/built-in scrolling mechanisms. That’s why the OS can’t automatically adjust all these for 120hz.
Can that be fixed via updates?
I owned the 5c and 7. Then went to android for the GS10, now I wanna come back but will wait for the 14, let's go
5c was a hand me down I would have never wanted it plastic body but was like 14 when I got it so whatever

Where were you to take this photo at 8:56? I can’t work out which side of fiddlers ferry you are? Big up the local lad!
Good battery is great. But the problem is it deteriorate after one year. Even the battery health may say 95%. Somehow it feels it is more than that
I really wish apple or Samsung or anyone can maybe fund or do RD on battery tech as they really haven’t improve much past 10-20 years
I understand now phone is more demanding. Bigger better screen but I still think there are rooms for improvements
Also there are many videos that shows that really not 120hz more often than apple make it sound
I feel they call it “adaptive “ to get away more non 120hz than competitor
If you look after your battery it should not degrade. Never charge it above 80% and try to not go below 20%. Keep it in that sweet spot and the battery cycles will increase four-fold, so 2000 cycles until 80% capacity. Consumers abuse their batteries and then complain!
You can turn pro motion off without low power mode locking it at 60 hertz
the duplicate controls are for ease of use, a considerate decision!
