A standard UK football chant when your opponent scored and started to sing and then concedes goals the other fans sing "you're not singing anymore, you're not singing any more" as a pisstake so the England fans modified it to "you're not swimming anymore" to the USA fans due to the huge oil spill
4:34 The 3 wheel car Jeremy tipped (The Reliant Robin) is actually alot harder to tip over than in the videos, almost impossible under any normal road conditions. The car they used in the TopGear segment had tweaks like asymmetric wheels and had been weighted to off-balance it.
At the beginning they were referring to the BP oil spill in the gulf of Mexico, and hence the footy chant that the Americans are not swimming any more, which while funny, it was also tragic
Yep. Unfortunately, 11 people died in the explosion, and the damage to wildlife and the habitat was immense. This: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deepwater_Horizon_oil_spill EDIT: South Park also covered this, with BP's CEO trying to look really cute while saying "sorry..."
5:40 Because fries were invented there, they are the national dish in Belgium with stew or mussels. No one knows why they call them French fries in America.
It’s true that only American calls them “French Fries.” The French and the Belgians say “Potato Fries,” the British generally say “Chips” or - in American themed places “Fries” but only the Americans call them, wrongly, French.
Deepwater Horizon oil spill (also referred to as the "BP oil spill") an industrial disaster which began on April 20, 2010, off the coast of the United States in the Gulf of Mexico on the BP-operated Macondo Prospect oil field...leaked an estimated 210 million gallons of oil into the sea. The well head was not fully capped until September ...hence 'you're not swimming anymore' football chant...a variation on 'you're not singing anymore' used to taunt an opposing team's supporters if/when they go quiet if they fall behind in a game or are not playing well. Also hence the other 'well' joke also a bit later.
The US has 25 year bans on certain cars. Cars have to be made in the US or to specific US standards. They're only just allowed to have Skyline's from the 90's. That's one of the reasons US made US brand cars sell so well in the US, it's a choice of no choice, but that creates a sense that US cars are the best which helps them to sell.
to my understanding, at least in Japan, they drive on the left because, in the past, samurai, who put their katanas on their left hip, walks on the left side, so that their katana's scabbard didn't accidentally banging with other samurai's scabbard as they walk past each other. note that they put the katana's on their left hip is because almost all samurai are right handed.
Because 'French' Fries are actually a Belgian thing, the Allies were just confused as to where they were in the world during the War and took to calling them 'French' Fries.
Yeah bro. We drive on the right but we are also the same line of sight as to drive on the left. Just a mirror image really. I'm in UK and it does take a bit to get used to in Europe mainland or wherever it may be 😅 rules stay the same though.
Mr McJibbin needs to find a US Postal vehicle to experience driving on the other side of the vehicle like in Japan ,UK ,Australia , South Africa and New Zealand. Actually it is easier to drive a manual vehicle from these countries because Gear Lever and Clutch Pedal is right next to each other , which means less twisting of the body changing gears. Right hand, dominant hand holds the steering wheel. Did you watch SVG racing at Chicago in Nascar , being a kiwi driving in NZ & OZ , he has also learnt to drive on the other side , helps challenge the muscle memory.
They have used stunt drivers very occasionally for purpose accidents where there making fun of the car, but 95% of the time it's them especially on road trips
13:48 I literally cracked up when you was trying to work out and explain why driving on the left hand side of the car was better because you’re driving on the white line 😆 it’s exactly the same for us over here driving in a right hand drive car in the left hand side of the road. Personally driving a right hand drive r is much better. Most of the world are right handed and it’s a better arm to use for steering whilst changing gear.these 3 can drive any car. Left hand drive, right hand drive, and they always say that right hand drive is the best all round

Fries were invented in Belgium, allegedly, not looking it up
You are correct. So everyone please just stop calling them 'French' fries. Thanks from Belgium.
Yep. And Danish pastries are from Vienna
5:40 Because fries were invented there, they are the national dish in Belgium with stew or mussels. No one knows why they call them French fries in America.

@@pogglefishii6807 Likely because the part of Belgium they were made in was the French part; that or the style of frying was a French method.
Incorrect
In England we have chips and french fries
French fries in the UK is the super thin ones not the thicker chip
@@pogglefishii6807UK call the super thin ones French fries
Americans (USA) anyway, have no knowledge of Belgium.
I Wonder why Belgium managed to improve French fries this much since their invention in Belgium

7:20 .. Peak Hammond: "You don't think it fell out of James's luggage, do you...?"
because french fries come from Belgium. It was American soldier that thought they were in France and named them French fries
An Evo 10(or X) is a street version of a rally car by Mitsubitshi. An although that race driver was Dutch, that was the Hockenheim circuit in Germany

We drive next to the middle lines too, and most people have their stronger hand on the wheel while changing gear with their weaker hand.

Cos Belgium invented Pomme frites, potato fries ..........."French" fries.....

Cars aren't weighed in pounds, it's kilos or tonnes.

Same in left line traffic. U ride near center line

No matter what side of the road you drive on you will see the white line
10:23 I'm glad to hear that that stereotype translates to Americans as well.
Vuvuzela, made world famously hated because of the 2010 World Cup.
If the car was not there why would she be stamding there.
An Evo is a Mitsubishi
Yes American cars are big and do 2mpg .

Deep water horizon in the Mexican gulf
Vuvuzela!
Do not wish for or work for the gut it is almost certainly leading to early heart problems,
5:40 this has got to be the stupidest thing you’ve ever said
Cancel that just got to 9:10
